In re
Abel Adams deceased.
This is the last will and Testament
of me Abel Adams of St. John’s Gentleman I hereby revoke all other
wills by me at any time heretofore made I direct that all my debts and
funeral and testamentary expenses be paid. I give and bequeath to my
son Chesley my gold watch and gold chain. I give and bequeath to my wife
Alice the two policies of insurance on my life issued
by the Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York on which the premiums
have been fully paid together with all moneys payable thereunder also all the household furniture and household goods and chattels which
may be contained in the Dwelling house occupied by me at the time of
my decease To Hold the same to my said wife Alice absolutely.
All the rest residue and remainder of my estate lands interests in lands
goods chattels moneys securities for moneys credits and effects whatsoever
and wheresoever situate or being I give devise and bequeath to my said
wife Alice and my children namely: Winnie, Chesley,
Jessie, Alan, Kenneth, Emma, Phoebe and William (children by my first wife) and Marie,
Myrtle and Raymond (children by my second wife) To Hold the same to my said
wife Alice and my said children share and share alike. And I hereby appoint
my said wife Alice Guardian of my said children Marie
Myrtle and Raymond during their minority respectively and Guardian
and Trustee of their respective shares and interests in my estate
And
I will and declare that my Executor hereafter named shall be Trustee
for such of the children by my first wife as shall not be of age during
their minority respectively and my said Executor as such trustee shall
hold the respective shares and interests in my estate of such of my said
children by my first wife as shall not be of age In Trust for them respectively
but with power and authority to the said trustee to pay to or for them
respectively out of principal and income or either such sums from time
to time as he shall consider necessary for their education support and
maintenance.
I
hereby appoint Frederick A. Mews of Saint John’s
Solicitor to be the Executor of this my will with power and authority
to him to charge for professional services in obtaining Probate hereof
and for deeds and documents necessary or requisite in the execution of
the matters comprised in the foregoing will. As witness my hand and seal
at Saint John’s
aforesaid this 25th day of May Anno Domini One thousand nine
hundred and seven Abel Adams (LS) Signed
published and Declared by the above named testator Abel Adams as
his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request
and in his presence and the presence of each other all being present
at the same time have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses A.A.
