Last Will and Testament of
Henry Abbott of Bailey's Cove, Bonavista Bay
Fisherman deceased.

      In the name of God Amen I Henry Abbott of Bailey's Cove, Bonavista, being of feeble health but of sound mind and trusting in Christ alone for salvation: thus publish my last will: viz: I give unto my son Richard Abbott all my property such as land dwelling house etc now in my possession with all rights and privileges. To my son John Abbott I gave him the land on which he built a dwelling house some years ago to be his & his heirs for ever with the use of the cellar in front of his house in my field with all rights and privileges. To my other children or their heirs. Elizabeth Andrew Hugh Mary Jane Harriet & Frederick I leave nothing now as they have received all that I intend them to have. I appoint my son Richard Abbott of Baileys Cove. Bonavista the executor of this my last will & Testament Signed. Henry his x mark Abbott (LS) (Sgd) T. W. Atkinson. Signed acknowledged and sealed by the said Henry Abbott as his last will and Testament in the presence of us, who being present at the time in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.
