Anglican Church of Canada
Diocesan Synod of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador Archives

The Synod offices are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, but the Archives are open only by appointment with the archivist. Inquires by mail and telephone are welcomed. Some records are restricted for reasons of privacy or because they contain information of a sensitive nature. Photocopying is available on site, subject to the approval of the archivist.

The Archives hold records of the activities of the Anglican Church in Newfoundland dating back to the early 18th Century, maintaining the records for the Central and Western Newfoundland Discese as well as the records of baptisms, marriages, burials and confirmations of its various parishes. They also maintain parish service records, minutes and correspondence of the diocese as well as some church artifacts, a reference library of the church and clergy related publications. A finding aid of the holdings is available for the researcher.
