It is with great sadness that the family of the late Royburn Clarence Butt announce his passing on Sunday, November 27th, 2005 at the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 62 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife and best friend Rhoda; sons: Michael (Rhonda), Peter, David (Nicole); daughters Michele Newman and Karen Butt (Eddie). Proud poppy of Brett Newman; Christina and Chelsea; Ryan, Emma, Cameron, Owen; Keegan; Kaylee McAllister; Logan and Adrian Tansley; Madison and Cody Garcin; brother: Hughie (Elizabeth); sisters: Lorraine (Bud) Sparkes, Jean (Cecil) Brett, Shirley Chaulk (Eric); special aunts: Hilda Hewlett, Nellie Pike, Rowena (Allan) Benson; Joan Clarke; uncles: Baron (Josie) Butt, Douglas Butt and Gideon Butt, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place at Fillatre's Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Sunday, December 11th, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The memorial service will take place on Monday, December 12th at 2:00 PM from St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church with Rev. John Meade officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Wight's Road, Deer Lake. Passed peacefully away at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 29, 2005, Lloyd William Quinton at the age of 75 years. He was predeceased by his father, Wilson Russell (1984). Cremation has taken place. KENNY, Genevieve "Genny" Theresa
Formerly of Port au Port East

Passed away peacefully on Friday, November 25, 2005 at Scarborough General Hospital in her 83rd year. She was predeceased by her husband Michael and her first born son, Freddy. She will always be lovingly remembered by her companion, Bill Quelch, her twin sister Bride (Pat) and her nine children: Kathleen (Rheal), Colleen (Charlie), Fred (Carol), Rhonda (Barry), Russ, Michael (Laura), Sean (Jill), Lorraine (Charlie) and Deanna. She was cherished by her twelve grandchildren: Gary, Mark, Candace, Sherri, Lindsay, Derek, Alyson, Jaymi, Cameron, Jonathan, Nicole, Bonnie-Lynn and her three great grandchildren Ashley, Curtis and Julia. Funeral service was held at Pine Hills Cemetery Chapel in Scarborough, Ontario on November 28, 2005. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Eileen (nee Caines); his children: Dennis (Linda), Rhoda (Wilfred), Edna (Kevin) and Lyman (Mercedes); his grandchildren: Glenn (Debbie), Alyx (Ranee), Brett (Sarah), Ryan, Justin, Danielle, Andrew and Josh; two great grandchildren: Jennifer and Katelyn; his sister Mona (Walter Little); his sisters-in-law: Gwen, Violet and Elizabeth; brothers-in-law: Maurice and Samuel (Emma); also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Matron of Honor was Laura Blackmore (best friend of the bride). Best man was Ken Merlin (friend of the groom). Bridesmaids were Jessica Gabriel (daughter of the bride) and Debbie Starr (friend of the bride). Junior bridesmaid was Darby Blackmore (daughter of Jan and Laura). Groomsmen were Tim Beaudin (brother of the groom) and Bob Sterling (friend of the groom). Ring bearers were Brandon Gabriel (son of the bride) and Darren Beaudin Jr. (son of the groom). Harpist was Brian Foroughi. Teri was walked down the aisle by her mother Florence Gabriel. The reception was held at the Heritage Room in the Dartmouth Rec Plex. Ruby is survived by brothers, John Wells of Woodstock, Ontario, Irvin Wells and wife Julia of Kingston, NS, Uttley Wells and wife Ruth of Victoria, BC, James Wells and wife Joan, Thomas Wells and Geneva and Donald Wells and wife Diana, all of Cormack, Nfld., also survived by sisters Delores Cutler of St. George's, Nfld., Lily Browning and husband Russell of Gillams, Nfld., Rita Rhodey and husband George of Calgary, AB, sister-in-law Marion Wells of New Hamburg, ON. Predeceased by parents, John and Doris Wells; sisters, Hazel Schwartz and Leah Cooper, brother, Sandy and sisters-in-law Iris and Mercedes, and brothers-in-law, Alfred Banks and Robert Cutler. Funeral services took place in the Ratz-Bechtel Chapel on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. Interment took place on Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at the Maple Ridge Cemetery, Winchester, Ontario.

A beautiful wedding was held on September 17, 2005 at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer with Father Maurice O'Quinn officiating. Charlene, daughter of John and Madonna Kavanagh, and Michael Brynell Wylie, son of Erlinda and the late Brynell Wylie, were united in marriage. Matron of Honour was Debra Webb and Best Man was Ron Gaston. Bridesmaids were Tonia Crawley, Terri Kinsella and Tricia Gravenor Kuhl. Groomsmen were Martin Cooke, Alex Lam and Barry Kavanagh. A lovely reception was held at the Humber Valley Resort with Elliott Tee as Master of Ceremonies. The happy couple reside in Ottawa, Ontario.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Francis Kawaja announce his passing. Fred passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital surrounded by his wife and family. He will be sadly missed by Eileen (Meaney), his wife of 58 years; children: Mary Catherine (Brian Sheppard), Ted (Sharon), Corner Brook, Margaret (David Humphreys), Wolfville, NS, Tony (Cindy), Corner Brook, and Robert Gerard, Calgary, AB; his 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also left to mourn are his sisters Alma Hanna and Genevieve Orrell of NS, Najala Ryan of ON, a large extended family, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by son Terence 1972, sister Alexandra 2004, parents Salam 1959 and Catherine (Matter) 1959, as well as stepbrothers Al, George, Gabriel, Joseph and Michael, stepsisters Anna and Mary. Fred was born in North Sydney, NS and moved to Corner Brook in 1928. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and a long time member of the Corner Brook Lions Club. Fred established Green Lantern Wholesalers in 1948. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frederick Francis Kawaja announce his passing. Fred passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital surrounded by his wife and family. He will be sadly missed by Eileen (Meaney), his wife of 58 years; children: Mary Catherine (Brian Sheppard), Ted (Sharon), Corner Brook, Margaret (David Humphreys), Wolfville, NS, Tony (Cindy), Corner Brook, and Robert Gerard, Calgary, AB; his 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also left to mourn are his sisters Alma Hanna and Genevieve Orrell of NS, Najala Ryan of ON, a large extended family, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by son Terence 1972, sister Alexandra 2004, parents Salam 1959 and Catherine (Matter) 1959, as well as stepbrothers Al, George, Gabriel, Joseph and Michael, stepsisters Anna and Mary. Fred was born in North Sydney, NS and moved to Corner Brook in 1928. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and a long time member of the Corner Brook Lions Club. Fred established Green Lantern Wholesalers in 1948. , 93 years, of Pasadena, died serenely after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Born in Clattice Harbour, Placentia Bay, Maud moved to Corner Brook in 1936 where she married Frank Berkshire. In 1979 Maud and Frank moved to Pasadena. A woman of great faith, Maud generously volunteered her time and energy to church and community activities and to those in need. All Hallow's Parish in Humbermouth and Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena were near and dear to Maud's heart. Maud worked tirelessly for many charitable organizations, including the Red Cross and the Cancer Society. The Humber Valley Senior Citizens' Club became a focal point for Maud and Frank after their move to Pasadena. Maud was able to live independently during the last twelve years of her life because of the love and support she received from the Seniors' Club and her many friends in Pasadena, including Don and Ruth Hickey, Sue Simms, Florence Anderson and her great friend, Darryl Carter. Maud lived a very full life, rich in family, friends and social activities that included her favourite pastime, playing cards at the Seniors' Club, the Knights of Columbus Club and at home. Maud is survived by her children Margie (Ev) McLean, Frank (Betty Ann), Shirley Hartery, Myrtle Blinn, and Sarah (David) Walker; her grandchildren Stefanie, Natasha and Nadia McLean; Frank III, Tobi and Brian Berkshire; Maria, John, Michael and Christopher Hartery; Denise, Christopher and Lori Blinn; David and Stephen Walker, and 23 great grandchildren. Maud is also survived by her loving sister Mary Hickey of Pasadena. Maud was predeceased by the love of her life, husband Frank, and sons-in-law Gordon Blinn and Jack Hartery. Visitation will take place at Holy Rosary Church in Pasadena on Thursday, December 29th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30th. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fillatre's Funeral Home. For those who would like to make a donation in Maud's memory, the family would appreciate donations to Western Memorial Hospital Foundation to be directed to the new patient/family lounge on Floor 3A/3B.

, 93 years, of Pasadena, died serenely after a brief illness on Tuesday, December 27, 2005. Born in Clattice Harbour, Placentia Bay, Maud moved to Corner Brook in 1936 where she married Frank Berkshire. In 1979 Maud and Frank moved to Pasadena. A woman of great faith, Maud generously volunteered her time and energy to church and community activities and to those in need. All Hallow's Parish in Humbermouth and Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena were near and dear to Maud's heart. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norma Gould announce her passing on Thursday, December 29th, 2005 at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Care Centre, in Botwood at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories; four children: Ira (Paula), Mount Pearl, Sean (Francisca), Halifax, NS, Darren (Sylvie), Ottawa, ON and Lisa Rideout (Rob), Botwood; her mother Mrs. Mary Ann Penney, J.I. O'Connell Centre; nine grandchildren: Brandon, Sonya, Sara, Jonathan, Stephanie, Robyn, Sandra, John and Terri-Lee; three brothers: Melvin (Jean) Penney, Toronto, ON, Gordon (Huldah) Penney, St. John's and Henry (Shirley) Penney, Florida, as well as a large circle of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Howard, July 14th, 1999 and father, John Penney, June, 1985. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Sunday, January 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Monday, 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street, Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Central West Cancer Centre, Grand Falls. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca
