It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarence Tobius Anstey (Clar) announces his sudden passing on Saturday, September 25th, 2010 at his residence, at the age of 62 years. He leaves to mourn, his sons: Clarence (Amanda), Deer Lake, Harold, Ft. McMurray, AB, Darrell, West Lock, AB; grandchildren: Nicholas, Zoe, Madison, Aubrey, Chloe and Ethan. Also in mourning are his brothers and sisters: Cherry Sparks (Milton), Deer Lake, Milton (Roberta), Ft. McMurray, Albert (Sharon), Deer Lake, Verna Croucher (Nathanial), South Brook, Dorothy McLellon (Dave), Port aux Basques and Sean (Ruth), Kincardine, ON. Clar leaves to mourn a large circle of aunts, uncles, relatives, friends and co-workers; special friends Glen & Donna Saunders with whom he resided; Ted & Holly Goulding who he could always depend on. BABB, Canon Randall Richard - Died peacefully on September 29th, 2010, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Randall Richard Babb, (The Rev. Canon R.R. Babb), age 95 years. Predeceased by his wife Lillian Adele, infant son, his parents John William and Bertha Jane (Yetman). sisters Pearl Evans and Dorothy Andrews. brothers Graham, Cyril and William. He leaves to remember and give thanks for his life and ministry; brother Lorenzo (Estelle); sisters: Maysie Moores (Alex) and Ida Weeks (Gordon); sister-in-law Lillian, as well as many nephews, nieces, friends and former parishioners. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harold George Ball announce his passing on Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 at his family residence in his 67th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving daughters Nancy and Tina Ball, two granddaughters Amy Pollard and Ashley Langdon, brother Steve (Yvonne) Ball, niece Roxanne (Terry) Peckford and nephew Gary Ball. Mother of his children Elsie Ball, his special buddy Jake and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his common-law wife Veronica Hewitt, parents Herbert & Dora and brother Edward. John passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 11th, 2010 at South Lake Hospital in Newmarket, Ont. Predeceased by his wife Sheila (2002) his parents: Jack and Margaret and brother Adrian. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Jeanine (Jack), Johnny (Barbara), JoAnn (Dulach) and Michele (Jeff); dear family member Diane (Leslie) Chaulk; grandchildren: Tara, Rory, Liam, Danny, Ryan, Mark and Alley; sisters: Carmel (the late Gerry) Buckingham, Sheilagh (Robert) McGrath, and a very special partner Helen Bowering and her children: Karen, Julie and Mark. Passed away peacefully with family at her side on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in her 69th year. Beloved partner of Albert Kolenc. Loving mother of Fred Braun of Vernon, B.C. and Janette Braun (Peter Benninger) of Kitchener. Survived by Stepfather Ernest Joseph. Loving sister to Bill Hounsell and wife Betty Hounsell, Gary Hounsell and wife Marie Hounsell and Bob Hounsell. Dearest grandmother to Erik, Sam, James, Jacob and Jocelyn. Aunt to Carla (Rahman) Khan, Patricia (Richard) Theorit, Sarah Hounsell (Josh Dietrich), Darryl Hounsell, Mathew Hounsell. Predeceased by mother Rosella Joseph, father Baxter Hounsell and brother David Hounsell. It is with love and admiration that we say goodbye to our mother, sister, life partner, grandmother, aunt and friend, Pauline. Born Pauline Gertrude Hounsell on August 19, 1941 in Corner Brook, NL to Rosella Hounsell (Pelley) and Baxter Hounsell. Moved to Kitchener in 1958. Pauline raised a daughter and a son while working in banking as a bookkeeper, realtor and ultimately a tax consultant with H&R Block. She will be remembered as kind, loving and generous to all who knew her. Born 1947, 63 years old - It is with great sadness that we announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Center after a courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father Stanley and brother Eddie. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her husband Edmund; mother Ourelia; children Edmund (Sara), Dwight (Sherry), Dwayne (Yvonne), Sondria (Pat), and Sean; adoring grandchildren: Connor, Eilish, Randi, Dylan, Scyler, Mike, Kyle; four legged friend Sam; sisters: Christine (Harry); Marie (Terry), Betty (Dan), Erid (Lloyd); brothers Stan (Marilyn), Jim, Clifford (Donna), Cyril (Paula), Harry (Neta), Gary (Sharon), Sam (Janet), Bill (Lydia), Anthony (Cathy) and Melvin (Anne). He leaves to mourn his wife and best friend of 39 years, Beth; "favorite daughter", Jane; son, Adam (Andrea) and precious granddaughter Averie Elizabeth; sisters: Betty (Doug Crawshaw) of Moncton, Jean (Doug Manstan); Joan (Sam Tiller) and brother, John (Sherry); brothers-in-law: Michael (Judy) Bugden and Peter Bugden; mother-in-law, Marigold Bugden; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends especially Clem & Linda Hayward for their unconditional love and support. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many cherished friends, especially Ron and Marilyn Webb, their children and grandchildren. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gilbert Thomas Clouter announce his passing on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville, NL at the age of 79 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 54 years Philomena (nee: Cormier); daughter Marie Reardigan of St. John's; son Ted (Cindy) of Corner Brook. Five granddaughters: Sara Reardigan, Leanne Reardigan, Julie Reardigan, Stacy Clouter, Kayla Clouter. His brothers Ralph, Gander, Wallace (Bernice), Gander, Robert (Friend Tina), St. George's, Ray (Grace), Brown's Arm, Baden (Bonnie), Stephenville and one sister Gwen, Carmenville as well as a large circle of friends and relatives. Gilbert was the former Mayor of Stephenville Crossing and also served his community as Fire Chief. He was predeceased by his parents Lemuel and Nora May Clouter and two brothers Calvin and Emerson. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Church, St. Clare Ave. in Stephenville with Rev. In honouring Gilbert's final wish he has been cremated at Humber Valley Crematorium and following the Funeral Service he will be taken back to his home town of Carmenville, NL to his final resting place. And Paula (Glenn) Barry, Stephenville; grandchildren: John, Tammy, Marsha, Christopher, Ian, Scott, Rikki-Lee, Natasha, Ashley, Brittany and Jamie; great-grandchildren: Sarah, Katie, Emily, Braden, Summer, Stephanie, Kyle and Stephanie; sisters: Vivian (Cecil), Elizabeth, Pearl, Blanche (Gus), Alma (John) and Agnes "Susie"; special niece Dot (Curtis); special friend Marg; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Limbert Costard announce his passing in Stephenville on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at the age of 51 years. He will be sadly missed by his common-law wife of 22 years, Shirley Ward and two sons: Joseph Ward (Angie Young) of Stephenville, Mitchell Ward of Stephenville; one daughter, Alyssa Ward (Chenise Jesso) of Stephenville; his parents, Louise and Elsie Costard of Kippens; grandmother, Stella Jesso of Cape St. George; two brothers: Henry Costard (Nicole Young) of Stephenville, Jerome Costard (Lorraine Gaulton) of Stephenville; three sisters: Josephine Costard (Conrad White) of Stephenville, Christine Costard of Kippens, Kathleen Costard (Leo Young) of Stephenville; one grandchild, Nadia Downey of Stephenville and the Ward Family; special friend, Kenneth O'Leary of Port au Port and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Gerald Costard and brother-in-law, Mark Aucoin. Visitation took place on Saturday evening and Sunday. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Elizabeth (Betty), nee Mishaud, of 56 years, his children; Juanita (Wally) Field, Rosalind (Paul) Lilly, Karen (Doug) Williams, Donna (Tony) Rumbolt, Todd (Marilyn), Shawn, Sharon (Larry) Caravan, his 15 grandchildren: Krista, Karla, Chuck, Ryan, Adam, Andrew, Jennifer, Justin, Mark, Mari Beth, Melissa, Joey, Matthew, Cassandra, and Zachary, his 8 great grandchildren: Julia, Nicholas, Melissa, Matthew, Blaine, Kailey, Braedyn, and Ryder, his siblings: Mrs. Joan King, Betty (Mrs. Lew) Sibley, and Ronald. , passed away on September 19th in the loving arms of her daughter Lori. Elaine was born in 1926 in Glace Bay, NS. She grew up there, married, then moved with her husband Gordon and her two children to Corner Brook, NL. After many years and three more children, she returned to Cape Breton where she eventually settled in her beloved Bras d'Or. Elaine had many talents; she was a great baker and cook, a beautiful seamstress and a talented gardener, which was one of her passions. She also gave freely of her time and talents to many worthy causes. She was a member of the Jubilee Rebekahs of Glace Bay, NS, and a very active member of the Georges River Garden Club. Elaine was a loving and cherished wife, mother and sister, a trustworthy friend, and a gentle and caring child of this world. She leaves to mourn her five children: Donna (Parker Glencross) of Bridgewater, NS; Thorold (Kathleen Hackett) of Corner Brook, NL; Marsha (Tobias Jesso) of North Vancouver, BC; Lori of Brampton, ON; Nelson (Aileen McNabb) of Halifax, NS; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. , 91, of Lawrencetown, passed away peacefully Monday, September 13, 2010 in Dartmouth General Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born in Sandy Point, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Alex and Theresa (Blanchard) Messervey. Chesley joined the Royal British Navy and served his country during WWII. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion. Chesley is survived by a son, Carl (Nancy); daughters, Madonna; Theresa (Mark); Barbara; Mary (Frank); grandchildren, Melinda, Gorden, Brandon, Shawn, Justin, Robert, Melissa and Marlee, and others; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Connor, and others; sister, Udvella (Ernie), Truro. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Beatrice; son, Gordon; seven brothers; six sisters. A special thank you to loving daughter Mary who devoted ten years taking care of her parents. Mr. Morris was raised and lived in Robinsons and he served in the Second World War. Beloved father of Sophia Morris, dearest and devoted grandfather of Dylan and Matthew Morris. Also survived by sons, Maxwell and Phillip Morris, nieces and nephews. Arthur's wishes were to be cremated with no visitation. MUGGERIDGE, Anne (nee Roche)
Called to God in her 75th year Sept. 14, 2010. Born in Corner Brook, NL. Anne entered the convent of the Presentation Sisters at St. John's at the age of 15. She left the convent at 18 to teach school and then attend Memorial University. Married to John Muggeridge in 1960, her husband of 45 years until his death in 2005. She wrote two books on the Post Vatican II Church, The Gates of Hell and The Desolate City and many articles. With passion and sense of humour, Anne tirelessly defended the Catholic faith in the public square and helped to bring many people into the Church, including her father-in-law Malcolm Muggeridge. Together, John and Anne led the efforts to bring back their beloved traditional Latin Mass, founding the Latin Mass community in St. Catharines -- all the while being a wonderful mother and wife. Beloved mother of John, Charles, Peter, Matthew and Rosalind, sister of Edward and Grandmother of 21 grandchildren in Canada and the U.S. Sung Tridentine Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Toronto on Sept. 18, 2010.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill Parsons, age 63 of Burgeo, NL on Thursday, September 16, 2010 while hunting. Leaving to mourn his wonderful wife Cornelia; daughters: Sandra and Karen; sons-in-law: Junior and Glenn; three precious grandchildren: Jenna, Brandon and Kyle. She will be sadly missed by two sons: Randy (Carmie) Young of Stephenville, Eric Young of Stephenville, four daughters: Jeanie Young of Ontario, Lottie Hynes (Joe Martin) of Port au Port East, Leverne (Benny) Jesso of Port au Port West, Irma Cormier (Sean Benoit) of Alberta, one brother, Medrick Odgen (Edith Samms) of St. George's, three sisters: Joan Ogden (Tom Power) of Noels Pond, Georgina Ogden of Stephenville, Mary Ogden of USA, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Remi Joseph Young and her sister Mary. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 17th at 10:00 a.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Karl Young announce his passing on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Center, Stephenville Crossing at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nora; brothers: Linbert (Marion), St. George's, Walter (Wanda), Robinson's, Eugene (Joanne), Heatherton, Phonse, Robinson's as well as nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter Young and Madeline Jesso; brother Earl; sister Stella Whalen. Visitation will take place at St. Joseph's Parish, Heatherton on Friday from the 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral mass will take place on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Collins officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Heatherton. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca
