It is with great sadness that the family of the late Charles Alexander announce his sudden passing on June 9, 2016 at the age of 87 years at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He sill be sadly missed by his loving wife, Mildred; 4 sons - Dominic (Val), Clarence (Blanche), Randy (Pat), Perry (Melanie), his 2 daughters - Bride (Leo) and Janet (Todd), 1 sister - Doreen and a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew & Isabel Alexander, his daughter Loretta, his son Andrew (Junior) and son-in-law Monte, his sisters - Cecilia, Rita and Mary and brother Joseph. Visitation will take place at Russell's Funeral Home in Stephenville Crossing on Saturday, June 11 from 7-9 pm and on Sunday, June 12 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Lorena Batstone announce her peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Rene, a jubilant wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend leaves behind to mourn her husband of 62 years, Ralph; her children, Robert (Sandra) Batstone, Loretta (John) Bugden, Trinda Hamlyn, and Jennifer (Rick) Burton. Big Nan also leaves behind her grandchildren Andrew (Janice) Batstone, Shannon (Clark) Hanna, Amy (Brent) MacNeil, Jason (Sara) Bugden, Jana (Kari) Sigurdsson, Jordan (Holly) Hamlyn, Nathan and Christian Hamlyn, Noah and Seth Burton. Old Nanny leaves behind her great-grandchildren Joel and Matilda; Violet and Lincon; Sam, Arabelle and Maelie; Callahan, Madalyn and Alexandra; Kirsten and John. She also leaves to mourn her siblings Jessie, Marjorie, Phyllis, John (Helen), Frankie (Michael), and her devoted friend Shirley. Special thanks to the staff at the Bayshore Estates for all their help and kindness - her "other family". Rene was predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret Bagg and her beloved son-in-law Brian Hamlyn. Lorena found joy in her family, took pride in each and every one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was known by many names: Rene, mom, nan, big nan and old nanny, and responded to each of these with a heartfelt smile. Her family will cherish the memories of her carefree attitude, jovial laughter, and caring soul. In keeping with Lorena's wishes, cremation has taken place. It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that the family of the late Cecil Bennett announce his passing on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the age of 84 years. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 65 years, Florence, special pet dog, Candy, two sons, Millard (Judy), and Calvin (Cindy); two daughters, Shirley and Pamela (Silas); sisters, Ruth (George), Alice (Bill), and Ruby; brothers, Gordon (Maisie), Leslie (Marie), Verdon (Inez) and Fred (Hilda). Cecil will be greatly missed by his 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Blanche; sister, Lilly Mae; brothers, William, Alex and David; son-in-law, Ivan and grandsons, Stephen and Fred. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Wednesday, 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held at Fillatre's Chapel on Friday, June 24th at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the non-denominational cemetery, Batstone's Road. CLOUTER, Robert (Bob)

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of beloved Robert (Bob) Clouter, age 79, on June 21st peacefully at home. Bob married the late Helen Parsons of St. George's, loving father to Donald of Montville, Ontario, Cathy (partner Cheryl) of Chrysler, Ontario, Debbie (husband Bryan) of Coniston, Ontario, Marie (friend Stan) of Coniston, Ontario. Poppy to DJ and Helen. Special father to Steven, Nick and Godchild Jessica Wasylenki. Bob enjoyed life to the fullest spending most of his time at camp on Agnew Lk. with family and friends, and then later his cottage in Newfoundland. Bob had a strong work ethic and past these qualities on to his children. Bob will surely be missed by all who knew him and were part of his life. Dear son of the late Lemuel and Nora of Carmenville. Dear brother of Gwen (George, predeceased) of Carmenville, Ralph (Dot, predeceased) of Gander, Gill, predeceased (Philomena) of Corner Brook, Wallace (Bernice, predeceased) of Gander, Ray and Grace of Browns Arm, Baden (Bonnie) of Kingston N.S. Predeceased Calvin and Emerson. Special companion to Tela Dollard and her family of St. George's, and all the extended children he loved so much. Bob will also be missed by his brother and sisters-in-law and all his nieces and nephews. At Bob's request, there will be no visitation, no service, direct cremation. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her three sons Dana, Keith and Craig; one grandchild Julia; sisters Rose Kennedy (Peter) and Hilda Muggridge; sister-in-law Sybil Curtis; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband David Curtis (2010); parents Frederick and Mary Anne Pike; and brother-in-law Frederick Muggridge. The family wish to thank the nurses and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Regional Hospital. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Decker announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on Thursday, June 23rd, 2016 at the age of 82 years. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by his four children Robert Decker, Linda King, Elaine Decker (Kevin) and Terri-Lynn Decker-Hogan (Mike), his grandchildren Marina, Shawn, Kayla, Robbie, Rebecca and Mya, his sister Malba Butt (Jack) and his beloved cat as well as extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Selma, daughter Karen, sister Fern and his parents Reuben and Lilly. We would like to thank the kind staff of Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for taking such wonderful care of him over the last few months. Judy Gilbert
passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on June 3, 2016, after a year and a half battle with cancer. Judy leaves behind her partner of 35 years, Dennis Dumphy, along with children (grandchildren) Dennis Dumphy Jr. and Aya Mohammed, Terry and Donna Gilbert (Emma), Lori and Tony Tuinstra (Alyssa, Tara, Tia and Shauna), Gary Gilbert and Christina Johnson (Kyler, Jonathan, Jake and Nathan). She is also survived by brothers Jim, George and Terry Hefford, sister Iris Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Levi, Derek and Tom, and sisters Lydia, Gwen and Florence. Judy was born in Buchans, Newfoundland, to George and Emily Hefford and resided many years in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She married John Gilbert in 1962 and raised three children, before later divorcing. In 1981, Judy moved to Sioux Lookout, Ontario, where she met Dennis Dumphy. Dennis and Judy lived together on Wellington Street in Sioux Lookout for several years, during which Judy worked at the Sioux Hotel. In 1986 they were blessed with the birth of Dennis Jr., and soon after built a beautiful home together on Minnitaki Lake. This year marked Judy and Dennis' 35th year together. Judy was happy to be a stay at home mom, and took pride in her appearance and that of her home. She loved socializing with friends and family, and enjoyed cooking delicious meals for many gatherings that included friends and strangers alike. She made friends easily and was faithful in maintaining friendships near and far. She had a smile that lit up a room, and laughter that was contagious. She always had a kind word for everyone. Judy was cremated according to her wishes, and a memorial service was held June 10 at the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home. She will be interred next to her mother, Emily Hefford, at the Mount Patricia cemetery in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, at a future date. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre, Sioux Lookout, for their care during her illness. Special thanks to the nurses of the Community Care Access Centre for helping and guiding the family in caring for mom at home these past four weeks. Thank you also to family and friends for the many visits, phone calls, meals, care, and support during this time.
Judy will be dearly missed and forever loved by her family and friends.

Mo leaves to mourn her loving husband Todd, parents Rob and Mary Riddoch, sister Kathy (Reid) Jackson, sisters-in-law Vicki (Albert) Nippard, Patsy (Darrell) Rumbolt, and brother-in-law George (Debbie) Gale. Special thank you to sister in law Lori who put so much of her time into caring for Reggie. Your care was well appreciated, so thank you all very much. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Agnes Marie Toope announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the age of 92 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Gord, Linda (William), Doug and Sharon (Gerry); grandchildren: Darryl, Karen, Michelle, Sherry-Lynn, Kathy, Dean and Philip; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law: Art, John and Tony; sisters-in-law: Peggy, Emma and special sister-in-law Blanche; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Reuben (March 29, 2014); mother and father Thomas and Caroline Cole (nee Churchill); daughter-in-law Phyllis; sisters: Elsie, Bertha, Isabell, Violet, Eva, Minnie and Ethel; brothers: Samuel, William, Gordon, Roy, Andrew and John. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Thursday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Country Haven Funeral Chapel, with Reverend Tanya White officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. It is with great sadness that the family of William Joseph Wells announce his passing at his residence in Corner Brook, NL at the age of 84 years. He leaves to mourn his dear sister Nora Griffin and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. William was predeceased by his parents James and Frances Wells, and his two sisters, Mary and Mercedes. In keeping with Williams wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or service at this time. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Country Haven Funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Welsh announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Home on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the age of 77 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children: Harold (Colleen), Fred (Loretta), Tony (Angela), Kelly Ann (Jon) and Winston (Monica); grandchildren: Jessica (Saul), Jonathon, Samantha (Lucas), Kristen LeBlanc (Jordan), Anthony, Dale (Chantelle), Michaela, Shawna and Brady; great-grandchild Annabella; siblings: Marg Crocker, Phyllis (Gurn) Crocker, Alice (Lawrence) Hennigar, Tom (Chelsea) Patey and Irene Patey; sister-in-law Linda Patey; uncles Gordon (May) Holley and Doug Green; as well as a large circle of nieces & nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late John William "Jack" Wiseman announce his peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, June 6, 2016 in his 87th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, his loving wife of 65 years, Audrey (nee Lundrigan); children: Gary (Leona), Brent (Marion), Darryl (Evelyn), Christine (Roger) Butler and Terry (Marie); twelve grandchildren: Jackie, Michael, Matthew, Philip, Jason, Zachary, Gregory, Daniel, Andrew, Katie, Michael and Brett; step-grand-children: Brandon, Mason and Devon; 4 great-grandchildren: Emily, Jack, Will and Claire; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Alfreda Wiseman; infant son Michael; brothers: Kevin, Desmond and Joe Jr., and sister Carmella. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. from the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, Mt. Bernard Ave., with Father Edward Terry officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Townsite Cemetery.
