It is with great sadness that the family of the late CHESLEY ROBERTS announce his passing on Friday, April 29, 2005 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 82.  He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 59 years Barbara (nee: Rose), son John & wife Janet, daughter Gayle & husband Pat Stuart; son-in-law Ed O'Brien; grandchildren Cameron and Ian Roberts, Gillian & Rachel Stuart, Heather & husband Wilson Stoke, Heidi & husband Shawn Rainault, great grandchildren Jack & Ben Rainault; brother Malcolm (Mae) Roberts of England, aunt Madge Bishop, sisters-in-law Alsie Elliot and Margaret Elliott and a large circle of special friends. Chesley was predeceased by his daughter Lynne O'Brien. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Humber United Church, Clarence Street, Reverend Patricia Melindy. Cremation will follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue, Monday from 2-4 & 7-9. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jeannine Callahan announce her passing at the Interfaith Home on April 30, 2005 at the age of 76. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Sharon (Don Lewis), Shirley (John Roberts), Jim (Barb), Eileen (Raymond Gaulet) of Gatuneau, Que., Marie (Lynn Marsden), William (Bev), Jim (Joy), Catherine (David White), and Troy; foster children: Mary Jane (Jim Tobin) and Gerard McCarthy of Toronto; 19 grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Ronald, Dorothy Holloway, Elizabeth Carew, Gordon (Grace), Diane, Chuck, David (Anita), Paul (Stephanie); step mother Christine and also several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William; daughter Carolyn, brothers and sisters: Harold, Marwood, Fred, Joe, Charles, Andrew and Helen. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ian Douglas Bridger announce his passing on Saturday, April 30th, 2005 at the W.M.R. Hospital in his 77th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving family, his loving wife Rita (nee Green) for 51 years, his loving daughter: Paulette (Mrs. Michael Patterson) of Timmins, Ontario; his loving son: Douglas and his wife Brenda Bridger of Reidville, NL; his loving grandsons: Ian Jr. Bridger, and Daniel Bridger. Also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ian was predeceased by his parents Archibald and Winnifred Bridger, his brother Gerald Bridger, his sisters: Minnie Tulk, Vivian Janes, and Doris Beach. Also his mother and father-in-law Daniel and Florence Green. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home, 63 North Main St., Deer Lake, today Monday, May 2nd, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with the funeral service to take place on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2005 at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's United Church in Deer Lake with Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating, with the Interment to follow at church Cemetery, Deer Lake. Ian Douglas Bridger started working with Bowaters in the early 1940s at the age of 15. Not long after he formed the company called Ian Bridger Ltd. in 1970. His career in the logging industry lasted 64 years. Mr. Ian Douglas Bridger was a kind-hearted, generous man who was loved and well respected by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake. In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Paul's United Church Accessible Fund and/or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully accepted.

Passed away peacefully at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, on Sunday, May 1st, 2005, Mary Keough at the age of 78 in the company of her beloved family. Mary was born in Calvert on November 19, 1926. She is survived by her devoted children: Marie (Mark), Jim (Connie), Adrian (Richard), Sandra (Rob), Kevin (Maureen), Jocelyn, Marilyn (Nabil), Gerard and Peggy; sister-in-law Mary Meaney; fourteen grandchildren, one great grandchild, dozens of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. She is predeceased by her husband Kevin, 1996, children: Cathy, Randy and Cindy; brothers: Thomas and Joseph. Passed peacefully away on Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Interfaith Home, GERTRUDE THERESA GUSHUE at the age of 88. Gertrude was a true pioneer of Corner Brook; the daughter of Abraham & Alice Gushue born in Corner Brook on January 1, 1917 where she grew up and eventually became the owner & operator of the Humberview Inn on Main Street. She will be lovingly remembered by 2 special nieces Shirley Baird & husband Ray, Doreen Colbourne & husband Albert, and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends at the Interfaith Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 4th at 10:30 a.m. from the Most Holy Redeemer Cathedral, Mt. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Beryl McLean announce her passing at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 1st, 2005 in her 88th year.  She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Marguerite (Fred); sons: Don (Betty); Jim (Sharon), Jerry (Diane), very beloved nephew Fred Russell, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jim; sister, Minnie Russell; daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Edward Penney, and a dear grandson, Reggie McLean. Visitation was held Tuesday, May 3rd and today May 4th at the Anglican Church of the Ascension in Howley, from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 5th at 2 p.m. with Father Aidan Devine officiating. It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the passing of our dear little angel, Faith, into God's hands on Monday, May 2nd, 2005 at the Janeway Children's Hospital, St. John's, at the tender age of two and half weeks. Daughters Eveline (Arch) Tucker of Shoal Brook, Emma (Stuart) Clarke of Dunfield, Trinity Bay and Elsie Payne of Brampton. Her grandchildren Vanessa Tucker, Renita (Everett) Barnes, Tyrone (Tammy) Payne and Shane Payne, her great-grandchildren, Grace Payne and Joshua and Cole Barnes. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Roland, May 10th, 1994. Three sisters and four brothers. He was predeceased by his wife, Stella Wilton, daughter, Colleen Lush and grandson, Michael, five brothers and one sister. Visitation took place at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. His remains were transported to Parsons Funeral Home, Deer Lake for visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake with interment in the Anglican Cemetery in Wiltondale.
