It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Butt announce her passing on Wednesday, April 30th, 2003 at the Interfaith Home in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 62 years Douglas Butt; her children: Walter, Clayton, Elmo (Gaye), Marie, Wilfred, Kevin (Charlene), Eric; grandchildren: Ken, Michael, Cecile, Kelly, Samantha, Lindsey, Daniel; great grandchildren: Joshua, Evan, Emily; and she will be remembered by many relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Martha George, brother Wilfred. The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from The Humber United Church, Clarence Street, Reverend Patricia Melindy officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. The Reverend Alison Buck Cook
, 63, Bedford, NY, Jacksonville, VT, and Derby, CT, died on May 3, 2003. She was the wife of James Scott Cook. She was born in New Haven, CT, the daughter of the late Norman Sydney Buck and the late Polly Stone Buck. She was a graduate of the Northfield School, Mount Holyoke College, and Yale Divinity School. She was a frequent contributor of written commentary. She was the Vicar of Immanuel Saint James Episcopal Church in Derby, CT, and her ministry included churches in Newfoundland, Canada at: Flower's Cove, Savage Cove, Green Island Cove, Hawkes Bay, Burgeo, Port Saunders, River of Ponds, Port au Choix, Reef's Harbour, and Corner Brook and in New Lebanon, NY. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, John Lawrence Cook of Bedford, NY and a sister, Judith Buck Moore, of Woodbridge, CT. She was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Buck. A private family committal service will be held in Wilmington, MA. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. at Immanuel Saint James Church, 123 Minerva Street, Derby, CT and Saturday, May 17, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mark's Church, 85 East Main Street, Mount Kisco, NY. Passed away on Friday, May 9th, 2003, at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, 5th Floor, Ella Muriel Curtis (nee Doman) at the age of 85. She is survived by her husband Joseph of 63 years, son Gerald (Bud) and his wife Mary of Curling; daughter Gertrude Peck of Labrador City and daughter-in-law Joan Curtis of Deer Lake. Sister Marion (Jack) Allen, Mount Moriah; twelve grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Brother-in-law David (Nina) Curtis, sisters-in-law: Jean (George) Hynes, Joan Curtis and Stella Curtis, as well as many friends and family. She was predeceased by her son John (2000) of Deer Lake, son-in-law Dell Peck (1996), of Labrador City; brothers: Ches, Gerald, Kenneth and George Doman, and sisters Maude LeDrew and Eva Jenkins. Elizabeth works as a Leukemia Research Coordinator at the QE2 Hospital in Halifax.
