It is with profound sadness that the family of the late Jody Baldwin announce his passing at Fort McMurray, Alberta on Wednesday April 1, 2015 at the age of 40 years. He will be deeply missed by his wife Cathy, his son Freddy, his mother Kay, sister Jo-Anne Woodford (Dave) and nephews Marcus and Mason of Fort McMurray, his friend Don Pardy, his uncles Horace (Trudy) and Rodney (Wanda) and Aunts Yvonne (Irvine), Sharon (Scott), and Nola (Freeman), his parents- in-law Cecil and Shirley Pollard, sister-in-law: Debbie (Vaden), brother-in-law: Dennis (Lisa) and nephews: Zachery and Tristan, as well as a large circle of cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Frederick in 1997, his brother Mark in 2002, his best friend and grandmother Nina in 2014, his grandfather James in 1994 and his maternal grandparents Mary Warren in 1998 and Earl Warren in 1999. Visitation will take place at St. Nicholas Anglican Church in Cox's Cove on Wednesday April 8, 2015 from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday April 9th, at 2:00 PM with Reverend Charlene Laing officiating. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Betty (Kevin) Reid, Gloria (Dave) Perry, Alberta (Richard) Andzan, Gail LaSaga, Lisa (Archie) MacNeil, Donna Kay (Andrew), Hughie, Eugene (Ruby), Larry (Valarie), Wade (Audrey), Gilbert (Jen), Dean (Dinnetia), Dwayne (Robin), Kevin (Cheryl); 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four sisters; three brothers as well as other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Bennett; parents Neil & Evelyn Bennett; two sisters; one brother and one son. Passed Peacefully away on April 20th, 2015 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, Albert Thomas Brockway at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his wife Catherine of 50 years on February 25, 2015. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Linda Brockway (Lorne), Debbie Brockway; sister: Jenny Hynes and husband Harry; special nephew Art Hall and wife Patsy, as well as numerous other nieces, and nephews. It is with great sadness that we announce Doug's passing on April 13, 2015 at Spencer House in Orillia, in his 84th year, with family at his side. Doug is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Edna (Kennedy), dear brother Bill and his wife Fleurette of London Ontario; brother-in-law Baxter Kennedy and his wife Frances, and sister-in-law Verna Kennedy of Corner Brook, NL. Predeceased by his parents Graeme and Ethel Clarke, his sister Marilyn (Danos) of Sarnia and brother-in-law Roddy Kennedy of Corner Brook. Loving "Uncle Dougie" to many nieces and nephews, and friend to many along the Green River where he and Eddy had a cottage for many years. It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Winnifred Foote announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Thursday, April 9th 2015 at the age of 93 years. She will be sadly missed by her sons; Gerard (Melina) and their children André and Natasha, Stanley (Melene) and their children Melanie, Sheena and Desirée, Bruce and his children Carol Ann, B.J., Justin, and Lindsay, Charles Jr and his children Dave, Donovan, Dylan and Raeanna, and Curtis, her daughters; Mary (Gerard) Bennett and their children Erin, Meagan, Tyson and Kristen, Anne (Danny) and their daughter Jaunita, her twenty-five great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Catherine Wilcott and John Reynolds, her husband Charles of 64 years, her grandson Daniel, her brothers John, Joseph and Bill, her sisters; Elizabeth, Amelia, Susanna, Clara, Philomena, Veronica, Rose, Minnie and Lucy, her special nieces Bonnie and Philomena, her special nephews Walter and Leonard, her daughters-in-law Beverly and Glenda. She was employed with the Bay St. George Roman Catholic School Board for twenty-five years. She had a kind and generous spirit which was felt by everyone who met her. One of her passions was knitting and this was plainly evident by the numerous donations to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital auxillary and to Street Health, an organization dedicated to helping the homeless, where she sent many of her knitted goods. She also had a passion for music and dearly loved playing the spoons. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive on Saturday April 11th from 7-9 pm and from St. Joseph's Parish in St. Georges on Sunday April 12th from 7-9 pm. Funeral services will take place on Monday April13th, 2015 at 11 am from St. Joseph's Parish in St. Georges with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove. resident of Cloverdale, BC, passed away peacefully at Surrey Memorial Hospital with family by her side on April 20, 2015 due to complications of diabetes. Lynne was born in Corner Brook daughter of Nina and Max Avery. Lynne met Brian Godick in Halifax and married in 1989. Together they raised their son Nathan. As Lynne loved her family, she also loved her dogs. Often times referring to them as her children in fur jackets. Lynne will be sadly missed by her husband Brian, son Nathan, brother Paul (Shuwa), Aunt Daisy, cousins and friends. Cremation has taken place. Predeceased by both his parents Augustine and Maria Gronich and nephew Sean O'Rourke. Leaving to mourn, his loving wife of fifty years Eileen (O'Rourke) Gronich, special nephew Paul Doyle (Karen), sister Margaret Schneider of Halifax, sister-in-law Anne O'Rourke of Corner Brook, brother-in-law Bob Doyle (Dorothy) of St. John's, a large circle of nieces and nephews in particular Margaret Ann O'Rourke, Allison (O'Rourke) Power (Dion), Robert Doyle (Toni), Susan (Derrick) and Sara (Anthony), Elizabeth, Peter, Michelle. Frank was one of the Founders of the S.P.C.A in Corner Brook and was a Director of the NL Drama Group and president of the Playmakers in Corner Brook. Frank and Eileen started out with a flower shop, servicing the community of Corner Brook for many years. They sold the business in 1972 and travelled Europe and the United States for two years. Frank received his BA, majoring in Ancient history and Political Science, from Memorial University in 1980. He attended Dalhousie University Law School in 1983, after returning to Newfoundland Frank was chief Crown Prosecutor with the Department of Justice from 1985 - 1993. He was an avid reader, history buff and held strong interests in politics, current events and world affairs. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, and he will be truly missed. With sadness, the Halfyard family wishes to announce that our loving Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavilion in St. John's with family members at his side. George Mancel Halfyard was a WW II veteran having proudly served overseas with the 166th Royal Newfoundland Regiment, British Army and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 45 Woody Point Bonne Bay NL. Many may recall the Land and Sea TV show episode; "The Garden of Mancel". That is how best we remember our Dad, at one of his happiest times, at home, toiling for hours and hours in his vegetable garden.
Predeceased by his wife Ada (April 10 1997); son Maxwell; grandson David; brother Horace; sisters-in-law Edith Blanchard, Elizabeth Walters, and Mary Crocker; and brother in-law Alfred Sheppard. Survived by his nine children; Betty (Jim), George (Gloria), Paul (Ann), Ann (Jim), Jack (Rima), Marguerite (Myles), Eric (Lori), Lynn (Floyd), and Joy (John). Fourteen grand children; Heather, Sheena, Thomas, James, Joann, Jennifer, Nadine, Jonathan, Andrew, Cody, David, Kevin, Victoria, and Morgan. Nina was born in Robinson's Newfoundland the daughter of John and Maude Brown. She grew up in Robinson's and Heatherton until she married and then moved to Jeffrey's where she spent most of her adult life raising her family. Nina is survived by her sisters Thirza Hulan (Willie) Stephenville Crossing, Dora Hutchings (Harold) Labrador, her daughters Ursula Cross (Junior) and Maudie Macdonald (Larry) both of Stephenville, sons: Gerald (Madonna, deceased), Smith Falls of Ontario and Jack of Ottawa, Ontario. She is also survived by grandchildren: Rebecca, Cynthia, Darryl, Lisa, Tanya, Craig, Lana, Glen, Janice and many great grandchildren, nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, Husband Windsor, daughter Joclyn in infancy, son Gordon (Bernice), brothers George, Bill, Chester, Albert, John and sisters Jane, Suzie, Bernice and Bessie. Ruth Bernice Hussey (nee Temple),
born December 7, 1933 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, was promoted to Glory on Monday, April 20, 2015 in Grande Prairie, AB at the age of 81. Bernice married Stephen Hussey in 1954 and lived in Mount Moriah, Newfoundland. She spent most of her life there, doing what she loved best - raising children, and being part of the Salvation Army Church. 1998 brought them to Grande Prairie, where Bernice was profoundly saddened to lose her darling husband to cancer. She stayed in Grande Prairie for the rest of her days, enjoying the company of her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. She faithfully volunteered at the Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in Grande Prairie for all those years. It was her greatest happiness to be helpful to people, and spend time with her family. Bernice was predeceased by her parents, Roland and Winifred Temple; one sister, Betty; five brothers, the first Charlie, Roland, Harvey, Malcom, and David; her infant son, Baby John; her daughter, Joyce Lazerte; and the love of her life, her husband, Steve. Bernice will be sadly missed by her sister, Florence Long, and brothers, Arthur (Thomasine), Bill, and the second Charlie (Diane); and by numerous other relatives, and friends in Newfoundland. Those from her own family left to mourn Bernice's loss include her granddaughter, Grace Hussey and her great-grandson, Caleb Hussey, with whom she lived for the past 14 years; her daughters and sons: Shirley (Paul) Winsor, Bob (Juanita) Hussey, Marie (Clifton) White, Ava Temple, David (Rosemary) Hussey, Randy (Gail) Temple, Mary-Lou (Norm) Beaudoin, Audeen (Terrence) Jones, Rose (Duane) Briand and Tammy (Trevor) Davis; as well as an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all loved her dearly. Born on November 15, 1955 passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2015 in her 59th year, after a battle with cancer. Faye is survived by her mother, Ada Johnson, and two sisters, Amanda Gellman and Ann Holosko, two brother in-laws, Mitch Gellman and Michael Holosko, and five nieces and nephews, Marc, Adam and Nicole Gellman and Joel and Adrienne Holosko, and predeceased by her father, Oscar W. Johnson. Faye was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, and moved permanently to Windsor, Ontario in 1997. A graduate of St. Clair College, Faye was an avid reader and could carry on a conversation on just about anything. Loved by all, she looked forward to spending time and conversing with family members, including her many aunts and cousins. She enjoyed staying in touch with friends in Ontario and Newfoundland, including those at the TOPS Club. She cherished her two very special dogs, Gandolph and Barnie, the latter of which will be placed to rest by her side. Services were held at St. James Roseland Anglican Church, and she was entrusted to Families First Funeral Home in Windsor, Ontario. Della is survived by her mother, Theresa McIsaac, of Stephenville, Newfoundland; husband, Vincent Kerfont JR.; and sons, Zane McIsaac (Ryanne) of Calgary, Alberta and Blaze McIsaac (Alyssa) of Fort McMurray, Alberta and Judy Green (Doug) of Fort McMurray. Della is also survived by her sister, Margaret McIsaac (Darren) of Stephenville, Newfoundland; Christine (Bill) Benoit of New Brunswick; Micheal McIsaac (Celeste) of Etobicoke, Ontario, and Gilda Mills (Garry) of Howley, Newfoundland as well as many nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. Born on February 6th, 1961 to Theresa and Igantius McIsaac of Stephenville, Newfoundland, Della graduated from St.Stephen's High School in Stephenville in 1979. Della was talented in many areas and successful in everything she decided to master, including swimming and Judo. Della built a life for herself and her sons in Fort McMurray, Alberta and worked as the president of CUPE Local 1505 where she fought tirelessly for the rights of its 1,300 union members. Her sons remember her for her strength and courage in the face of adversity. Her friends remember her for her huge heart and her ability to always be there for them. A funeral is scheduled for April 30th at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic in Fort McMurray with refreshments to follow at the church. All are welcome to attend. It is with heavy hearts, the family of the late James "Jim" Donald Martin, age 57, announce his passing on April 9, 2015 at his residence in Lower Sackville, NS. With his devoted wife and caregiver Karen by his side, Jim made his final journey in life. He was a courageous cancer fighter and he made his family and friends very proud through his determination to live life to the fullest, despite his limitations. Jim leaves to mourn, his loving wife Karen (nee Goosney), sons Donnie (Cindy), Michael (Tasha), his two grandchildren, Angel and Nicholi and his furry grandpuppy "Mia." Jim's love of electronics and business brought him to Nova Scotia in 1976, where he owned and operated Munroe's T.V. for the last 25 years. Back home (Woody Point, NL) he leaves to mourn his Parents, James (Sr.) and Dorothy Martin, Mother-in-law Pansy Goosney (Norman - deceased). It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary (Wanda) Young announce her passing on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at her family residence in Robinson's, NL at the age of 58 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Walter; son Jonathon (Paula French); grandson Drake; brothers: Gordon (Rose) Tallack, Aiden (Genevieve) Tallack, Thaddeus (Parcella) Tallack, John Jr. Tallack, Melvin Tallack, Kevin Tallack, Jeffrey (Marilyn) Tallack; sisters: Margaret Tellac, Bernice (Peter) Benoit, Simone Tellac, Maisie Lagatdu, Bonita (Junior) Snook, Denise Tallack as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John & Josephine Tellac; brothers: Harold Tallack, Reginald Tallack; sisters: Marjorie Tallack and Mary Tallack. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 p.m. from St. Joseph's Parish, Heatherton from where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Poulose Kannampilly officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Old Roman Catholic Cemetery, Heatherton, NL. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations to a charity of ones choice. The family guestbook may be signed or a memorial donation may be made by visiting our website www.fillatre.ca    Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing.
