Gone, dear father, gone forever,
How we miss your smiling face,
But you left us to remember,
None on earth can take your place.
A happy home we once enjoyed,
How sweet the memory still,
But death has left a loneliness,
The world can never fill
.

Emma was a devoted grandmother and was especially happy to hear of a new baby and take up her knitting needles again. The last sweater she knit was in 2012 when she was 95. She showed a real interest in people and once she learned about the bibles hope for mankind to live on a paradise earth, she dedicated her life to Jehovah and she was baptized in the spring of 1961. John 5:28,29 was especially dear to her heart - looking forward to seeing her loved ones resurrected on earth, it had to be on earth she reasoned; because there is no death in heaven. She wanted others to know these things and to have this hope as she did, for that reason; she diligently visited people from door to door and spoke of her beliefs to anyone she met in her travels. A special thanks to Dr. Westby and the Nursing Staff at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre for taking exceptional care of our mom, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
