It is with great sadness that the family of the late Blanche
Anderson announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital,
Corner Brook on Monday, February 26th, 2007 at
the age of 91 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are
her children: Mary Mishaud (Joe), Joe Piercey (Loretta), Dave Piercey
and Terry Anderson; step-children: Wil Anderson (Theresa) and George
Anderson (Monica); 13 grandchildren: Wally, Monty, Debbie, Wanda, Lori,
Gail, Sterling, Wade, Dean, Dermon, Marcie, Deon and Angie; 16 great
grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; seven step grandchildren
and six step great grandchildren; sister: Rita Bronson, Boston, Mass;
as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by first husband Timothy Piercey, 1945, second husband William
Anderson, 1987, infant son; great grandson Joey, 1993, great-great grandson
Brady, 2000; sisters: Mary Bennett, Genevieve Bennett; brothers: Johnny,
Felix and Joe Gallant; daughter-in-law: Georgina Piercey, 1994; brothers-in-law:
William and Douglas Bennett; sisters-in-law: Margaret and Monica Gallant.
Friends may visit St. Brendan's Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown on Wednesday
from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on
Thursday, March 1st, at 10:00 A.M. from All Hallows Church,
Humber Road. Fr. Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment to follow at Mt.

Joseph Gorman, age 53 years, died peacefully at home on Monday,
February 26, 2007, with his loving wife Nadine Roche (Koots)
by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his

in Norris Point on Thursday, March 1st, 2007 in
his 81st year. Lambert will be sadly missed by his loving

David Williams) of Nova Scotia, Neila (Mrs. Cameron McCracken), Tina
Moze (Jeff Brongal) both of Ontario and Viola (Mrs. Gary Finn) of St.
John's, his son Rex (wife Lisa) of New Brunswick, his three brothers:
John (Maureen) Major, David (Pat) Major and George (Winnie) Major all
of Ontario, his sister Mrs. Florence Parsons of Rocky Harbour, his 25
grandchildren and his 11 great grandchildren. Also leaves to mourn a
large circle of relatives and friends. Lambert was predeceased by his
wife Myrtle (nee Maynard), daughters: Jacklyn Major and Albertha Tower,

from on Sunday, March 4th, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon
John Olsson officiating with the interment to follow at the church cemetery

Passed peacefully away in his 93rd year in Mississauga, Ontario Gerald
Meaney. He is survived by Margaret, his loving and devoted wife
of 71 years, by his four children: Patricia Mary Nelson, Dennis, George
and Paul, his ten grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.
Also left to mourn his brothers: Jack (Pearl), Kingston, ON, Ron, Calgary,
AB and his sisters: Catherine MacDonald, Ottawa, Eileen Kawaja, Corner
Brook. Predeceased by his parents Dennis and Mary C. Meaney, brothers,
Gordon, Rev. Father Frank and Kevin, his sisters Doris Kennedy, Sr. Mary
Clotilde of the Presentation Order and Agnes. A Funeral Mass was celebrated
February 6th in Mississauga, followed by cremation. He was
a man of faith who loved his daily Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family

Eva Gladys Brown, 68 of Jeddore, NS, passed away suddenly at
home on March 2nd, 2007. Born in Curling,
NL on July 29th, 1938, daughter of the late Chesley and Elsie
(Parsons) Caines. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Eva is
survived by her beloved daughters, Kelly and Kimberly and her husband,
Robert Morris. Our mother was a loving, dedicated and caring grandmother
to Emma, Sophey and Jacob. She is also survived by her brothers, Hector
Caines (the late Estelle) and friend Norma, Bruce Caines and his wife
Sheila, her sister Onslow and her husband, Hugh Doull and special aunts,

After a brief illness, Elsie Anthony passed away peacefully
on the 15th of March 2007 in Nanaimo British
Columbia. Born on Woods Island, Bay of Islands, 9 June 1915 to John Pennell
and Mary Ellen Barnes and married to John Anthony in 1937. She embarked
on many moves throughout his career with the Newfoundland Government.
Predeceased by her parents, brother Les Pennell, and husband John. Survived
and sadly missed by her only daughter Linda, husband Ron Blank, granddaughter
Deborah, great-granddaughter Kalia, in Nanaimo, and special family and
friends in Newfoundland. Elsie, also known as Mary, moved to Nanaimo
in 2002. Her constant companion Sam Shih-tsu will sorely miss her treats
and company. She kept busy sometime babysitter for Kalia, knitted 200
caps for newborns and blankets for the Nanaimo Hospital and an avid reader.
Although Elsie enjoyed the weather in Nanaimo, her heart will always
be in Newfoundland. She eagerly awaited her Western Star. Elsie appreciated
the frequent updates from Lavinia & Emmaline. A special good-bye
to childhood friend Angeline. No flowers, please. Donations appreciated
to the O'Connell Centre, DVA Unit. Remembrance held in Nanaimo. Later
arrangements announced before internment with her beloved John in Mount

The family of the late Alfred Reginald Stanford regret

March 18th, 2007, age 88 years. Reg, as he was known,
was a long time resident of Corner Brook. As a young man he served in
the RCAF during World War II. He leaves to mourn his wife of many years,

William and his family, also three grandchildren. He is being cremated

Ruth Anne Simmons, age 50 years, passed away peacefully on March
18th, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's,
after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by her mother Christina
(Carter) Dunne and her father Joseph Patrick Dunne. She is survived by
her beloved husband Bob Bartlett, her treasured children David and Stephanie
Simmons, and their father Bruce Simmons. Ruth was the middle child of
nine and is survived by Marie Salamoun-Dunne (husband Wassim Salamoun),
Leo Dunne (Patricia), Joan Dunne, Patrick Dunne, Verna Dunne (Gerald
Broderick), Claire Dunne, Hugh Thomas Dunne (Dorota) and Margaret Swinimer
(John). She will be lovingly missed by many nephews and nieces and countless
friends who stretch across Canada. At her request, cremation has taken
