It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Mary Marche announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the age of 84 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Harold and seven sons: Leonard (Hilda) of Piccadilly, Roddie of Lourdes, Simon (Theresa) of Tilbury, Ontario, Ellis (Joan) of Newmarket, Ontario, Terry (Theresa) of Whitby, Ontario, Ivan (Janice) of Oshawa, Ontario, Leo (Monica) of Halifax, Nova Scotia and six daughters: Myrtle (Joe) Walsh of Colliers, C.B., Theresa Laracy of Toronto, Ontario, Marie (Les) Alexander of Whitby, Ontario, Liz (Paul) Cote of Stephenville, Mary (Dave) Farrow of Whitby, Ontario, Alice Marche (John) of Stephenville and three brothers: Michael (Joan) Benoit of Lourdes, Raymond Benoit of Lourdes, Danny Benoit of Piccadilly, one sister Mildred Lesuk of Thunder Bay, Ontario; 31 grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, close member of the family, Marg Marche of Whitby, Ontario and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Cecilia Benoit, her son, Donald Marche and daughter, Linda Hogel. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Lourdes on Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Lourdes with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in West Bay. It is with sadness that the family of the late Bill Hewlin announce his peaceful passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 59 years: Marigold; daughters: Jane (Neville) Hackett, Paradise and Thelma (Howard) Doman, Corner Brook; one son John (Clare) Hewlin, Deer Lake; eight grandchildren: Christopher, Nancy and Jillian Hackett, Connie (Steve) Taylor, Todd (Kara) Doman, Sarah-Lynn, Leslie and Jonathon Hewlin; two great-grandchildren: Emma Julia Doman and Laura Nichole Taylor; one brother Forward (Joan) Hewlin, Cow Head, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Elford Sr. announces his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the age of 85 years. Raymond was a well-known painter and had the best kippers in Curling. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 60 years, Josephine (Beales); sons: Frank (Rita), Tom (Marion) and Raymond (Nadine) all of Corner Brook; daughter Mary of Corner Brook; grandchildren: Shawn, Frankie, Julia, Connie and Blaine; great-grandchildren: Dillin, Kyle and Courtney; brothers-in-law: Michael Beales and Ches Taylor; sisters-in-law: Eileen Williams, Mary Atkinson and Kay Elford. He was predeceased by his parents: Clarence and Angelina Elford; brothers: William, Albert and Noble; sisters: Margaret, Georgina, Carrie and Bride; and granddaughter Kristina. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: brother Augustine MacDonald, Mountainview Estates; step-brothers: Karl, Dan and Ken McDonald; step-sisters: Margaret Deans, Jean Waite, Genny McDonald and Julie Nilsen; sister-in-law Loretta McDonald; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories; children: Ronald, Port au Port, Elizabeth "Betty" (Thomas) Coles, Toronto, Mae "Mary" (Martin) O'Quinn, Labrador City and Gary (Linda), Corner Brook; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur; parents Bernard and Bridget Byrne; and grandchildren: Arthur Callahan, William Callahan and Deborah Coles. Passed peacefully away at Central NL Hospital on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2005 Mrs. Mary Yarn (nee Byrne) of Mose Ambrose, age 92 years. Leaving to mourn her loving family, Pam (Albert) Lawrence, English Harbour West and their children: Craig, Halifax and Chrissy (Ryan) Keeping, Mose Ambrose and Margaret (Calvin) Sheppard, Mose Ambrose and their children James, St. John's and Megan, Mose Ambrose. Also her caregiver Brenda Hunt, Harbour Breton with whom she resided. Two great great grandchildren Aaron Power, St. John's and Blake, Mose Ambrose. A number of nieces and nephews at Bay Roberts, Port au Grave and Bareneed plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband Chesley Yarn, step-son James and daughter-in-law Monica. Any donations may be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church in Mose Ambrose. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 5th at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church in Mose Ambrose with Rev. Colbourne officiating. Gail and the late Edward Delaney are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Stephanie to Jay, son of Nada and Gary Rowsell. The wedding took place at the First United Church, Corner Brook on February 12, 2005 with the Reverend Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Rick Barry, Uncle of the Bride, was Father Giver. Jodi Delaney, sister of the bride was Maid of Honor; Terri Donahue and Sherry Kelly, friends of the bride were Bridesmaids; Marc Rowsell, brother of the groom was Best Man, John Patten and Steve Christopher, friends of the groom were Groomsmen. Ring bearer was Morgan Evoy, nephew of the bride; Flower girl was Chelsea Evoy, niece of the bride. Vocalist for the ceremony was Brian Delaney, Great Uncle of the bride. The reception was held at the Columbus Club with Brian Woolfrey, Uncle of the groom as Master of Ceremonies. Stephanie and Jay would like to thank everyone who helped make their day so special. The Newlyweds currently reside in Burnaby, BC.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Reginald Cassell announce his passing on Tuesday, March 22nd, 2005 surrounded by his family, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, in his 67th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Madeline (nee Kean); two children: Larry (Diane) of Fort McMurray, Susan (Johnny) Dinney of Reidville; two precious grandchildren: Travis and Joshua; his brothers: Guy (Joan) Cassell and Raymond (Maisie) Cassell both of Jackson's Arm; his mother-in-law Sarah Ann Kean of Pound Cove. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents George and Annie Cassell. Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Jackson's Arm today, Wednesday where also funeral service will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ranson officiating. Jerome had spent the last five years at WMRH and while there, touched the hearts of many who cared for him with kindness. Left with their thoughts and memories are his wife Karen; son: Erik; daughter: Tanya and granddaughter Jessica. Passed away suddenly at his home in Cape Ray on March 24, 2005 Arthur (Bun) Marks, at the age of 76 years. Lighthouse keeper and businessman. As he would have wished, he was doing "a job" until the end. Predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Simms), infant son Craig and granddaughter Hayley. He will be deeply missed by his daughters, Beverley (Ross Durnford) of Port aux Basques and Meridith (Peter Bruneau) of Ottawa and his cherished grandson Benjamin. He is survived by his siblings Mary Marks-Mitchell of St. John's, Angie Palchuck (late Russell) of Cambridge, ON, Jack (Ruth) of Corner Brook, Lew (Bernice) of Upper Ferry and Frank (Helen) of London, ON. Bun will also be remembered by a broad circle of friends, young and old around Codroy, Cape Ray and Port aux Basques. Family and friends paid their respects at East Haven Funeral Home, Grand Bay from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. A service to celebrate Bun's life was held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Cape Ray. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery. He will be sadly missed by his brother, Jerome Colombe of Shallop Cove and four sisters: Bernice (John) Barry of Shallop Cove, Grace White of Stephenville Crossing, Cecilia Gaudet and Statia Hering, both of Halifax, Nova Scotia and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Bridget and Dave Colombe, sisters, Lucy Blanchard, Freda Thorne and brothers, Frank Colombe, Richard Colombe and Robert Colombe. Friends may call at St. Joseph's Parish, St. George's on Thursday. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 1st at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Parish, St. George's with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Shallop Cove.
