in Stephenville on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at the age of 80
years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, James and

E. (Dorothy) Swain and Bertram (Verna) Swain, all of Carbonear
and her two grandsons: Brent (Shelley) Powers and Todd Powers,

and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Ellen

Cremation service will take place on Sunday, February 3rd at

Anthony
Taken into the care of God on December 16th, 2001, Hannah
Roxena Theresa, 5 years, and Benjamin Robert Anthony,
1 ½ years. Precious children of Suzanne and Gary, and deeply
loved by brother Thomas and Sarah. Grieving with Suzanne, Gary
and Thomas are grandparents Theresa and William Endicott and Roxena
and Eric Norman, aunt Janice and uncle Johnson (Tam), uncle Tony
and aunt Ann Marie (Norman), aunt Dawn and uncle Bruce (Payne),
uncle Bob (Norman) and special cousins Hedley and Sherry (Caines).
Mourning with the family are very many loving relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held by Rev. Lawrence Cheung at St. George's
Anglican Church in Vancouver on December 27th. Burial
will be in Newfoundland at a later date.

Granter, daughter of Pam and Duncan Granter and Robert McKeagney
III, son of Robert McKeagney II and Jaqueline Berg. The ceremony
took place at St. Thomas's Church in Dover, New Hampshire, USA
officiated by Rev. Robert Ervin. Maid of Honor was Nancy Granter,
sister of the bride and Best Man was Kevin Blenkhorn, longtime
friend of the groom. Bridesmaids were Hildin McKeagney, Rae Bradbury-Enslin,
Astrida Schaeffer and Elizabeth Wilson-Sterling. Groomsmen were
Craig Enslin, Stephen Schaeffer, Darren Bradbury and Howard Stith.
Flowergirl and ringbearer was Helena Schaeffer. A beautiful self-accompanied
solo was sung by Howard Stith during the service. Receptions were

LODGE, Herbert Stanley
Deer Lake
December 28th, 1922 - February 26th, 2002
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Herbert
Stanley Lodge announce his passing on Tuesday, February 26th,
2002 at his family residence in his 79th year. He will
be sadly missed by his loving wife Ivy (nee Harris). His step-children:
Don (Louise) Harris of Nova Scotia, Dawson (Nita) Harris of Ontario,
Edith (Herman) Roberts of St. John's. Twelve grandchildren and
six great-grandchildren. Two brothers Adolphus (Violet) and Jessie
(Annie) both of Deer Lake. His sisters-in-law Ethel Lodge of Deer
Lake and Meta Dawe of Cody's Point. Three brothers-in-law Majors
George and Winnie Cave of Mt. Pearl, Bert and Lena Cave of New
Chelsia and Wilson and Annie Cave of St. John's. Also a large circle
of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by
his parents Samuel and Elizabeth Lodge, sisters, Margaret, Nora
and Betty and brothers Gordon and Wilfred. Visitation will take
place from Parsons Funeral Home, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake
today, Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take
place on Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel in
Deer Lake with Majors Wade and Linda Budgell officiating. Interment
to follow at the family plot. By request of the family, donations
to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Heart Foundation gratefully
accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral
Home, Deer Lake.

RENOUF, John

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Renouf announce
his passing at his residence on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at the
age of 77 years. He was in the Nfld. Regiment in World War II.
He will be sadly missed by his three brothers: Charles (Rose) Renouf
of Stephenville, Robert (Lillian) Renouf of Ontario, Cornelius
(Madonna) Renouf of Deer Lake; two sisters: Ann (Hubert) Jesso
of Marches Point, Matilda Taylor of Ontario and a large circle
of relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services took place on Thursday, February
28th at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish, West Street,
Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery,
Hansen Highway, Stephenville. Funeral arrangements were under the
supervision of Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville.
