It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vivian Powers announce her passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at the age of 80 years. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, James and one son, Carter Powers of Stephenville and two brothers: William E. (Dorothy) Swain and Bertram (Verna) Swain, all of Carbonear and her two grandsons: Brent (Shelley) Powers and Todd Powers, all of Halifax, Nova Scotia; her special friend, Emily White of Stephenville and a large circle of relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Corliss and two sons: Trent (Ann) O'Neill, Blair O'Neill (Jody Lishchynsky) and two granddaughters, Taylor and Brooke, all of Fort McMurray, Alberta; brothers: Nicholas (Kathy) O'Neill of Kippens, Remi - deceased, (Tillie) O'Neill of Kippens, Bill - deceased, (Joan) O'Neill of Kippens; sisters: Deloros Bourgeois of Kippens, Mona Callaham of Alabama, Greta (Roy) White of Stephenville, Harriet (Allan) White of Kippens, Myra (Michael) Delaney of Florida and his mother-in-law, Veronica Short; five sisters-in-law: Marie (Brian) MacDonald, Janet (Gary) White, Sharon (Gerry) MacLean, Esther (Tony) Carey, Rochelle (Ron) McKenzie and three brothers-in-law: Bill (Jean) Short, Jim (Cleo) Short, Randy (Sheree) Short and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. ENDICOTT (NORMAN), Hannah Roxena Theresa & Benjamin Robert Anthony
Taken into the care of God on December 16th, 2001, Hannah Roxena Theresa, 5 years, and Benjamin Robert Anthony, 1 ½ years. Precious children of Suzanne and Gary, and deeply loved by brother Thomas and Sarah. Grieving with Suzanne, Gary and Thomas are grandparents Theresa and William Endicott and Roxena and Eric Norman, aunt Janice and uncle Johnson (Tam), uncle Tony and aunt Ann Marie (Norman), aunt Dawn and uncle Bruce (Payne), uncle Bob (Norman) and special cousins Hedley and Sherry (Caines). Mourning with the family are very many loving relatives and friends. Funeral service was held by Rev. Lawrence Cheung at St. George's Anglican Church in Vancouver on December 27th. Burial will be in Newfoundland at a later date.

John and Laura Pye, of Mount Moriah are pleased to announce the marriage of their youngest daughter Tonya Charlene to Shawn David, son of Ronald and Lorraine Hemsley of Corner Brook, on Saturday, Oct. 13th, 2001. Matron of Honor was Lorelee Porter, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were Judy-Ann Blackler, Angela Martyn, Tracey Gardner and Tiffany Hussey. Best man was Sean Boyd, best friend of the groom. October 6, 2001 was the scene of a beautiful wedding between Wendi Granter, daughter of Pam and Duncan Granter and Robert McKeagney III, son of Robert McKeagney II and Jaqueline Berg. The ceremony took place at St. Thomas's Church in Dover, New Hampshire, USA officiated by Rev. Robert Ervin. Maid of Honor was Nancy Granter, sister of the bride and Best Man was Kevin Blenkhorn, longtime friend of the groom. Bridesmaids were Hildin McKeagney, Rae Bradbury-Enslin, Astrida Schaeffer and Elizabeth Wilson-Sterling. Groomsmen were Craig Enslin, Stephen Schaeffer, Darren Bradbury and Howard Stith. Flowergirl and ringbearer was Helena Schaeffer. A beautiful self-accompanied solo was sung by Howard Stith during the service. Receptions were held in New Hampshire and Corner Brook. Guests came from Ireland, England, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Newfoundland and USA. Wendi and Rob reside in Dover, New Hampshire, USA.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Woolridge on June 13, 1996 and her parents, John and Amy Hawkins and her four brothers, David, John, Clarence and Sam Hawkins and one sister Beatrice Hawkins. Visitation took place on Sunday, February 10 from 2-6 p.m. at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville and on Monday, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from St. Michael's and All Angels Anglican Church in St. David's before the funeral service. It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Renouf announce his passing at his residence on Tuesday, February 26, 2002 at the age of 77 years. He was in the Nfld. Regiment in World War II. He will be sadly missed by his three brothers: Charles (Rose) Renouf of Stephenville, Robert (Lillian) Renouf of Ontario, Cornelius (Madonna) Renouf of Deer Lake; two sisters: Ann (Hubert) Jesso of Marches Point, Matilda Taylor of Ontario and a large circle of relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services took place on Thursday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. Funeral arrangements were under the supervision of Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street, Stephenville.
