It is with great sadness that the family of Roland Way announce his passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 30th, 2006 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his devoted wife of 57 years, Helen (nee Yates); children: Judie LeDrew (Leonard), Corner Brook, Bryan (Susie) Nashville, Robert (Jane), Oshawa; grandchildren: Douglas LeDrew (Eileen), Edmonton, Andrew LeDrew, Corner Brook, Matthew and Eric Way, Oshawa, Kimberly and Julian Way and their mother Juliet Cooper, Toronto; great grandchildren: Brandon and Alicia LeDrew, Edmonton; brother: Clyde (Betty), St. John's, Aunt Susie Andrews, St. John's, nephew: Dr. Jeffrey Way (Mary Ann) Calgary; nieces: Janice O'Brien (Albert), Kelligrews and Jennifer Turner (John), Calgary; sister-in-law: Ruth Green and her son Ron O'Connell (Paula) and family, Corner Brook, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by son Barry in 1993, parents: Eugene and Jenny Way, parents-in-law: Douglas and Edna Yates, brothers-in-law: Don O'Connell and Albert Green. At his request, cremation has taken place. Visitation to take place on Monday, January 1st from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., and Tuesday, January 2nd, 10 am to 12 noon. Memorial service at the First United Church, Park Street on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Wayne Cole officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. RALPH, Harvey Manuel
July 21st 1920 - December 30th 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Harvey Manuel Ralph announce his passing on Saturday December 30th, 2006, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook, at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Marvin (Mona) Ralph; Summerford, Vivian (Alfred) Simms; Reidville, Roy (Olive) Ralph; Calgary, Dean (Peggy) Ralph; Glovertown, Vernon (Eileen) Ralph; Fort McMurray, Dexter (Minnie) Ralph; Kings Point, brother-in-law Hubert (Dorothy) Elliott; Deer Lake, 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents William and Lavinia Ralph, wife Aramanda Ralph and granddaughter Lori Leanne Simms. Visitation was held on Sunday, December 31st, Monday, January 1st as well as today, Tuesday, January 2nd from the Sops Arm Pentecostal Church from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 3rd at 2 PM with Pastor David Gifford, Pastor Reg Skinner, Pastor Terry Snow and Pastor Bessy officiating. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alva Clarke announce her passing on Sunday, December 31st, 2006 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her four children: Helen Thorne (Darryl), St. John's, Barbara Dumaresque (Stanford), Labrador City, Ruth Upward (Alan O'Doherty), Tottenham, On and Patricia Perry (Terry Manuel), Deer Lake; eight grandchildren: Paula, Roger, Jennifer, Jeremy, Zachary, Ruthann, Jessica and Tracy; eight great grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husbands: Alex Upward and William Clarke, and son Ronald Upward. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Rendell Ellsworth announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre on Sunday, December 31st, 2006 in his 93 year. Joseph will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife: Yula nee Pittman of 68 years married, and his immediate family; his children; Henry (Jean), David (Verna), Violet (Walter), Doreen (Winston), Madeline (Calvin), Mona (Ralph), Norman (Louise), Jean (Ralph), Howard and Lee (Tracey); his 18 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren; his sisters: Melvina, Edith, Agnes, Rosie (Albert), and Beulah (Gerald); also leaves to mourn a large number of relatives and friends. Joseph was predeceased by his sons Ronald and George, daughter Loretta, and his daughter-in-law Cindy. The family had visitation at Wesley United Church in Rocky Harbour on Monday, January 1st, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where also funeral service will take place from today Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Rev. She will be sadly missed by five sons: Raymond "Buddy" (Yvonne) Chinn of Ontario, Bernie (Madeline) Chinn, Walter Chinn, Garfield Chinn, all of St. George's, Paul (Valerie) Chinn of Stephenville Crossing, four daughters: Barbara (Frank) Jarvis of St. George's, Patsy Martin of Stephenville Crossing, Mildred (Gerard) King of Mattis Point, Marlene (Jimmy) Sharpe of Stephenville Crossing, one brother, Cecil (Mary) Ryan of St. George's, four sisters: Theresa Bennett, May Pye, Millie Kearney, Lillian Anderson, all of St. George's, 21 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Roddie, her sister, Josie, brothers Jimmy, Wilfred and Raymond. Visitation took place on Sunday evening and Monday at St. Joseph's Parish, St. George's. Mommy's and Daddy's precious angel, Chloe Grace Hann, passed away at home on January 1, 2007 at the age of 8 months.  We will always miss kissing her kissable lips and smelling her sweet smell everyday.  Leaving to mourn, her devoted mommy and daddy, Allysia and Mark; Nanas and Poppys, Sylvia and Derek Parsons and Clarence and Joan Hann; great-grandmother, Josephine Hann; aunties, Jackie (Keon) Noseworthy and Marsha (Jeremy) Loder; uncle, Scott (Opal) Parsons; special cousins, Jenna, Sydney and Karlee; special friend, Debra-Lynn Smith; and special doggie, Haley.  Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Summerside on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Grace Adeline Buffett announce her passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 at Bonne Bay Hospital in her 66th year. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Rona (Gordie Laing) of Norris Point; her grandchildren: Corey, Christopher, Jada, Hilary all of Norris Point; her brother Jim (Rona) of Labrador City; two nephews Fred and Jimmy; one niece Gail and her great nephew Brady; also a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Hilda and Jacob Buffett. She will be missed by four sons: Stan, Rex and Cyril all in Stephenville, Edward in Corner Brook; two daughters: Sybil White in Stephenville and Vera Wright in Wabush. Also leaving to mourn are her three sisters: Vera Maye in Deer Lake, Joan Quinlan in Baytona, Flo Godwin in Toronto, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Isaac, son Allan, daughter Lucy, brother Cyril, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2007 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his loving family: Eileen (nee Sheppard) his devoted wife of 54 years; one daughter Elizabeth (Peter), Fort McMurray; five sons: Danny (Nadine), Rick (Louise) all in St. George's, Dwayne in Scarborough, Stephen (Marie Claude), Ottawa, Rodney (Dawn) in Kitchener; his sisters: Jean (Ron) Blanchard, Thelma (Donny) LeCour all in St. George's, Emily Hepburn in London, Ontario, Stella (Lloyd) Bravo, St. Hubert's, Montreal; sister-in-law Muriel White in New Brunswick. Peacefully, on Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at his home in Guelph, 4 days before his 70th birthday. Phillip Walters, beloved husband of Betty (nee Osmond). Loved father of Peter Walters and his wife Sarah of Brooklin, and stepfather of Hubert Messervey of Guelph. Loving grandfather of Ian and Kenya. Dear brother of Herman and Marian both of London, England, Dorette of Miami, Florida, Malvia of Spanish Town , Jamaica, and Mary of Long Island, New York. Phillip will also be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myra Miles (nee Perham)announce her passing on Thursday, January 11th, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, in her 81st year. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband Reginald and her children: three sons: Lionel (Viola), Bob (Jeanette) and Darren (Christine), four daughters: Bessie (Dave), Gertie (Bob), Judy (Wade) and Beverley (Bob); her three brothers: John (Evelyn), George (Rosalie) and Charles (Nora); her three sisters: Georgina (Vic), Dora (Herbert) and Mildred (Allan); her 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn a large circle of family and friends. Myra was predeceased by her son Hughie, father John Perham and her mother Dora (nee Bambury). The family had visitation on Friday evening at the Pentecostal Church in Deer Lake. Then transferred to the Calvary Pentecostal Church in Pools Cove, where the visitation is from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, Saturday, January 13th, 2007. Where also the funeral service will take place from on Sunday, January 14th, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with the interment to follow at he church cemetery in Pools Cove. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Elliott Wight announce his passing on Friday, January 19, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 81st year. He will be sadly missed by his long time friend and companion Beulah Parsons, six children: Vera (Murray), Wallace (Donna), Wom (Margaret), Kevin, Loretta, Malwhyn (Nancy), 17 grandchildren and a large circle of great-grandchildren, 2 brothers: Norm (Rosie), Tate (Rowena). It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert Douglas Falle announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the age of 60 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Geraldine, six brothers: Derek Falle of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Richard Falle of Alberta, Dan Falle of Deer Lake, Louis Falle of Cape Breton, Bruce Falle of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Francis Falle of Piccadilly and three sisters: Lorraine Young of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Diane Falle of USA, Joanne Falle of Halifax, Nova Scotia and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Chesley and Theresa Falle, his sister, Mary Falle, brother, Jimmy Falle. Friends may call at Russell's Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, January 31st at 1:00 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, flowers accepted or donations to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

MARTIN, Brian Everard Clarke
1917 - 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Clarke Martin announce his passing on Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 90th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: daughters: Gwen Bartlett (David), Roberta Gash, Corner Brook, Peggy Martin (Dan Sacrey), Grand Falls, Susan Martin, London, ON., Jacqueline Duffney (Tony), Benoits Cove and Roger (Debbie), New Brunswick; grandchildren: Grace & Bobbi Dunphy, Jim, Jason & Robert Gash, Catherine & Kenny Duffney and Lucas Martin; brother Gordon Martin (Joanne), Santa Cruz, California; special friend, Cyril Bennett, special niece Betty Janes and son-in-law Ken Dunphy as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his precious wife Grace on January 24, 2005, his parents Rev. Francis Martin & Blanche Martin; his sisters, Gwen, Dorothy & Phyllis and mother-in-law Margaret Bennett, son-in-law Jim Gash. The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 1st at 2:00 p.m. from The Memorial United Church, Curling Street Reverend Clayton Parsons officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. DEATHS

WILTON, William (Bill) Chesley
(Col. CD Ret.)

Passed peacefully away on 29 January 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre, in the presence of his family, William Wilton at the age of 86 years. Bill served with the 59th Royal Artillery during WWII. He attended UNB and obtained a degree in Forestry Engineering. Bill worked with the Canadian Forestry Services until his retirement, subsequently he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Canadian Institute of Forestry. Bill joined the militia after the war, and served in various positions including Commanding Officer and Honorary Colonel of the 56th Field Squadron Engineers and Commander Newfoundland District. Bill was also very involved with the Army Cadets and served as President of the Army Cadet League of Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador Branch. Predeceased by his daughter Doran (1954); his wife Elizabeth (2001) and his son Ches (2006). Also predeceased by brothers-in-law Ted Trenchard and Robert Pretty and sister-in-law Amy Wilton. Left with fond and loving memories his son Derek, wife Susan and grandchildren Felicie Young (husband Andrew), Kimberley and Peter, daughter Judy Caul, husband Tony and granddaughter Andrea (fiancé Liam McNamara); and son Gary, wife Joan Cranston and grandchildren Rebecca Wilton and Peter Cranston; sisters: Georgina Trenchard, Winifred Pretty and Mima Penney (Phonse) and brothers: Robert and Claude (Ulah); nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends; and the many friends he made at Elizabeth Towers. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Tuesday, 30 January 2007; from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, 31 January 2007; and from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Thursday, 1 February 2007. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, 1 February 2007 at 2:00 pm from Carnell's Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. BUTT, Edith Marie (Nee Cullihall)
Rocky Harbour, NL
May 30th, 1922 - January 30th, 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Marie Butt announce her passing on Tuesday, January 30th, 2007 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 84th year. She will be sadly missed by her loving children: Stella (Hector Young), Wycliff (Ruby Butt) both of Rocky Harbour, Alfreda (Bruce Payne) of Corner Brook, Bessie (Bud Reid) of Rocky Harbour, Myra (Brian Goosney) of Birchy Head, Iris (John Byrne) of Grand Falls, Kevin (Jackie Butt) and Lorna Butt both of Rocky Harbour; her 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; her step-mother Sylvia Cullihall of Rocky Harbour; her sisters-in-law: Blanche Watts of Rocky Harbour, Myrtle Smith of Norris Point, Flora Butt of Rocky Harbour and Pearl Butt of Fort McMurray. Edith was predeceased by her husband John Charles Butt and grandson Owen, parents Mary & Fred Cullihall, son-in-law Bud Parsons, her brothers-in-law Edgar, Chesley, George and Sam and sister-in-law Florence. The family will be receiving family and friends today, Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the United Church in Rocky Harbour, where also the funeral service will take place from on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Beverly Snow officiating with the interment to follow at the church cemetery in Rocky Harbour. The funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
