DEATH
BRAKE, Shaun Ryan
Corner Brook, NL
Some people only dream of angels. We held one in our arms and hearts for
a brief period of time. Peter and Bobbie Brake sadly announce the birth and
death of their son at the Janeway Hospital. Born December 6, 2005 and died December
31, 2005. Predeceased by his brother Nathan, grandfather Darius
Normore and uncle Bertram Brake. He will be sadly missed by grandparents:
Bertram and Isobel Brake, Joyce Normore, aunts and uncles: Lynn (Ed) Hynes,
Lori (John) Veitch, Juanita (nee Christopher) Brake, as well as other relatives
and friends. To our dear friends and family, acknowledgment of our baby's
short life may be upsetting you. You may think the less said the better.
Until now, we did not know how important it would be for us to tell you of
our baby, even though he died. You can help us through this unbelievable
difficult time by letting us talk about our sorrow when we feel the need,
allowing us to cry when we want and not pretending everything is okay when
it is not. It will take time, but with your support we will make it. A funeral
service will take place on Friday, January 6th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Michael's
Anglican Church, Park Drive, Corner Brook for family and close friends. As
an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations to the Janeway NICU
would be greatly appreciated.

"I will let fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses"
Wishing You Near (Nick Alcantara)
I have come to realize that time is so dear,
When you are no longer here,
I cling to memories that bring you near,
If only I can touch you again,
Without bringing back the pain
feeling your presence.
That you are not really very far away,
That would bring back the joy and magic,
Of being again together,
I know you are just a whisper away.

COOPER, Lloyd (Coop) George
August 29, 1915 - January 26, 2006
Always smiling Coop never had an unkind word for anyone. Able to talk the
ear off of all who would sit still (and most did), he unfailingly found
the joy of life even when it was least apparent. Stubborn, funny and sometimes
just plain odd, he loved unconditionally and fully. The true love of his
life was his wife and soul mate Myra. Just shy of 68 years of wedded bliss,
the two were rarely apart and never far from one another. Through everything
imaginable they were inseparable. He doted on daughters Marjorie Noble,
Joy Barron and Verna Hounsell, the "girls" who truly
lit up his life and son Keith as well as their spouses Frank, Bill, Sol
and Beth. He was known as "pop" to not only 10 grandchildren
and 17 great-grandchildren, but to a host of other kids of all ages. A
life long fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, he slept through the 3rd period
of more Hockey Night in Canada games than anyone, but always insisted he
was just resting his eyes. (Worry though he sometimes did, laughter was
his best medicine.) He will be deeply missed by all, including surviving
brother Stan and his wife Dot Cooper and sisters-in-law Kay, Mary and Cherry
Cooper. His memory will long live on through the lives and loves of his
truly fortunate family. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton
Avenue on Saturday, January 28th, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9
p.m. Funeral service to be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 29th, 2006 from
Salvation Army Temple, Torbay Road. Interment to follow at Salvation Army
Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to
the Canadian Diabetes Association or Salvation Army Glenbrook Lodge. Please
