It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward Bailey announce his passing on Friday, December 31, 2004 at the D.V.A. Unit, J.I. O'Connell Center in Corner Brook at the age of 87 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his three daughters: Irene (Curtis) Humber, Gravenhurst ON, Phyllis (Duncan) Hulan, McKays, and Joan Rowe, Corner Brook; one son: Theodore Bailey (Phyllis), Oshawa ON; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sisters: Betty Harris, Clarenville and Jessie Renouf, St. John's; sister-in-law: Joyce Bailey, Grand Falls, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his loving wife Elaine (1991), brother Howard and parents George and Rowena Bailey, and dear nephew Rev. Edward Bailey. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and today, Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will take place on Monday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, Park Street. Mr. Larry Noseworthy officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxine Marion Hatcher announce her passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre on Saturday January 1st, 2005 in her 54th year. She will be sadly missed by her husband, Terrance, her 3 sons: Marcel (Bonnie), Robert (Kimberly), and Cory (Lorie), all of Ontario, her 4 grandchildren: Terry, Tristan, Robbie and Cody, her mother Stella Payne of St. Paul's, her brothers and sisters: Harvey, Bryant, Henry (Gladys), Jessie, Trevor (Sarah), all of St. Paul's, Geneva (Wilfred) of Cow Head, Gladys (Mike) of Toronto, Ivan of St. Paul's, Glenda (Rod) of Corner Brook, her special niece Pam (Ron) of Cow Head, her brother and sisters-in-law: Madeline, Joseph, Lionel (Mary), Elaine (Willis Major), Clayton (Cynthia), all of Norris Point, Evelyn (Hal), Edmund (Freda), William (Beverly), Vera Bennett, George (Ruth) all of Ontario, Gerald (Joan) of Hawkes Bay, and Ivy (Terry Welsh) of Rocky Harbour. Maxine was predeceased by her father Percy Payne, her mother-in-law Georgina Hatcher, her father-in-law George Hatcher, brothers-in-law Charlie Byrne, Wayne Hatcher, Russell Lang, and George Moore-Gough, sisters-in-law Florence Payne, Cassie Payne, and Mary Hatcher, her niece Jennifer. She will be remembered and loved by a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends as of today, Monday January 3rd, 2005 from the Anglican Church in St. Paul's, from where the funeral service will also take place on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005, with Rev. It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Hann announce his sudden passing on December 26th, 2004 at the age of eight years. Beloved son of Rosemary (nee Foley) and Desmond, precious grandson of Robert and Eileen Hann of Port au Port and Robert and Isabel Foley of St. John's (predeceased). Left with fond and loving memories his aunts: Debbie (John) Pinto of St. John's, Denise (Brian) Hicks of Mount Pearl, Dorinda Hann of St. John's, Brenda (Glen) Picco of Marystown, Maureen (Keith) Fardy of Calgary, Sheila (Grant) Gosse of Red Deer, his uncles: Donald (Helen) Hann and David (Diane) Hann both of Stephenville, Robert (Tracy) Foley of Calgary and Michael (Heather) Foley of CBS, cousins: Kelly Hann, Evan, Kristopher and Lacie Hann, Katie and Marie Pinto, Ocean-Lynn Hicks, Jennifer and Mark Fardy, Laura, Meghan and Jacob Gosse, Andrew and Erin Picco, Allison and Andrew Foley, Emily and Jessica Foley, along with a large circle of friends, classmates and his Cub Scout group. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 3rd, 2005 at 2 p.m. from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port. A Trust Fund has been set up in memory of John Hann and donations may be made at any branch of the Royal Bank of Canada.

POLLETT, Evelyn Babeth (nee Gillard)

Passed peacefully away on Friday, December 31, 2004 at the J.I. O'Connell Centre, Evelyn Pollett at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her husband George and son Walwyn. Leaving to mourn: special friend and companion Claude Bath; sons: Ray (Margaret), Bernard, Charlottetown PEI, Earl (Ruth), St. John's; daughter-in-law Vangie; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation took place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and today, Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will take place today, Monday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O'Connell Drive. Majors Gary and Sharon Cooper officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wilfred White announce his passing on Wednesday December 29th, 2004 at the age of 78 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Janet, five sons: Wayne (Eleanor) in British Columbia, Gary (Madonna), Craig (Denise), David (Sue) all in Ontario and Jerome (Barbara) in Kippens, his daughter Rhonda (Raymond) Smith in Ontario. He also leaves two brothers: Mattie (Grace) in Ontario and Allan (Ettie) in Kippens, three sisters: Jean (Martin) Alexander in Kippens, Rita White-Chester, South Carolina, and Frances Frazenbaker in Ohio, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, seven stepdaughters: Sharon, Noreen, Linda, Marie, Lillian, Helen and Barbie, two stepsons: Ken and Gregory, two close friends Raymond and Mary Lainey in Fox Island River along with a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services took place on Monday January 3rd 2005 at 10 a.m. from St. Stephen's Parish on West Street with cremation to follow. Visitation was held at Russell's Funeral Home, 39 Queen Street in Stephenville.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, sons: Michael S. White, Halifax, NS, Cyril Gerard (Jerry), (Theresa), Kippens; daughters: Louise Gilbert, St. Fintans, Eileen Young (Dave), St. George's, Dolores Young (Frank), Stephenville, Theresa (John) McDonnell, St. George's; brother Carl (Kay) White, Cambridge, ON; sisters: Lucy Sheppard, St. George's, Joan Pilon, Ottawa, ON; 32 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Cyril, August 18, 1975, parents Ralph White and Artimese Garnier; brothers: Herbert and Willard; sister Lillian and by her great great granddaughter Holly on September 24th, 1990. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, December 17, 2004. FUDGE, Brian Thomas
In Ottawa, on January 2, 2005, Brian Fudge, loving son of Jill Broadbent and Derek Fudge, and wonderful brother of Stephen, passed peacefully away at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Brian leaves to mourn aunts and uncles: Jane Broadbent of Corner Brook, NL, Paulette Fudge, Fred and Ena Fudge, Sylvia and Frank Ryan, Jean and Archie Mills, all of Corner Brook, NL, Phyllis and Larry Diamond of St. John's, Terry Broadbent and Jane Broadbent of Halifax, NS, and Paul and Jennifer Broadbent of Charlottetown, PEI, Brian is also the much loved grandson of Susan Fudge and Agnes Broadbent of Corner Brook. Brian will also be sadly missed by many cousins and friends from all across Canada and the United States. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bridget Mary Whelan announce her sudden passing on Tuesday, January 4th, 2005 at her family residence in Pasadena in her 90th year. Her family will cherish the memories of love and laughter. She will be sadly missed by her children: Rosemary (Charles) Blagdon, Betty Collins, Stan (Jane), Jerry (Noreen), Paul (Elaine), Veronica Whelan, Kevin (Jocelyn), Brendan and Lorraine (Winston) Wiseman, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, brother John (Marina) Carroll and sister Veronica Pittman. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William, sons: Andrew and Joseph, parents: Stan and Mary, brothers: James, Jerry, Joseph and son-in-law Raymond. The family will be receiving friends from the Holy Rosary Parish in Pasadena today, Thursday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where the funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 7th at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Peddle officiating. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, sons: Raymond (Cora), Conception Bay South and Roy (Ruth), Lewisporte; daughters: Florence (Obed) Hann and Mamie (Norman) Marsden, both of Burgeo and Meta (Harold) Rice, Corner Brook; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren: sister, Leah Dominey, age 92 of Port aux Basques, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, George. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Isadore William John Rubia announce his sudden passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 5th, 2005 in his 62nd year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife; Violet (nee Young), his three daughters: Emily (Harold) Tustin of Cormack, Dianne (Wayne) Alexander, and Melissa (David) Osmond, both of St. Jude's. His two sons: Michael and Isadore Jr., both of St. Jude's. Seven brothers; his very special brother Ray of St. Jude's, Herb of St. Jude's, Lawrence and Dan of Stephenville Crossing, Marcel and Roy of Toronto and Charlie of New Brunswick.
