Passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at Oakville-Trafalgar Hospital. Remembered as a devoted husband and loving father, he is survived by his beloved wife, Maureen; children Catherine, Walter, Joanne, Jennifer and Agnes; and grandchildren Rebecca, Erin, Lindsay, Hayley, Stefanie, Kevin and Aidan. Born in 1932, on Belle Island, Nfld., and predeceased by his mother, Agnes Kennedy (Fitzgerald) and his father Leo Kennedy, he will also be missed by his sister, Elsie and brother, Leo and the countless family members and friends who have loved him. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 12, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. from Transfiguration of Our Lord Church, 45 Ludstone Dr., Etobicoke. Visitation times will be at the NEWEDIUK FUNERAL HOME, KIPLING CHAPEL, 2104 Kipling Ave. (two blocks north of Rexdale Blvd.) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2004. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society of Canada would be very much appreciated.
