Stamp, Richard Joseph
Passed suddenly away on September 22, 1973 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospiral, in his 50th year, Richard Joseph Stamp. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Madeline, three daughters, Delores, Carol Ann (Mrs. Bernard Wadden); Patricia (Mrs. Robert Maher), three sons, Richard Jr., Gerald and Robert; one sister Mary (Mrs. Edward Rogers); one brother Gerald; two grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral today, Monday, September 24, 1973 from Caul's Funeral Home to the Basilica for Mass at 9:30 am.. Interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Thompson, William A.
Passed peacefully away at the General Hospital on Thursday, September 20, 1973, William A. Thompson, Veteran of World War 11. Age 70 years. Leaving to mourn wife Stella, three daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. D. Westcott); Mary (Mrs. M. Tucker); Ann (Mrs. K. Owens): three sons John, William and James; 21 grandchildren; three sisters, Alice (Mrs. P. Happy); Margaret (Mrs. J. Collins); Ann (Mrs. H. Field); one brother Arthur, step-mother Mrs. J. Murphy; three step-brothers; one step-sister and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at the Carnell Memorial Chapel, Freshwater Road. Funeral from St. Teresa's Church, following Requiem Mass at 10 am on Monday, September 24, 1973. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Burden Augusta (Gussie) (nee Pike)
It's with saddened hearts we have had to say goodbye to our best friend, dedicated wife and mother, Gussie Burden. Age 53 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, husband Everett, daughter Krista, and son Peter, all of Mount Pearl; mother, Mrs. Flora Pike, also of Mount Pearl; two brothers; Fred (Betty) and Gordon, both of St. John's; three very special in -laws; Jackie Kennedy (nee Burden), Vida Clarke (nee Burden) and Hilson Burden, all of Mount Pearl; special friends, Sylvia and Carl Cole of Mount Pearl; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation will take place with a private family Memorial Service followed by interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. "Rest in Peace Mom" our love always; Everett, Krista and Peter. Donations in memory of Gussie may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
