Lawrence Parish, Mulgrave. He was a retired fisherman employed by National
Sea Products, Canso, retiring as a mate on the Canso Trawlers. He enjoyed fishing,
gardening and his two little dogs. He will be sadly missed by his family and

sons; James (Linda), Mulgrave, Donald (Robin), Edmonton, Alberta; sister; Frances

Holwell.
Harry was a Registered Industrial Accountant, retired from
Marine Atlantic in 1990. He and his family moved to Moncton in 1965
with CN Rail. He attended St. James Anglican Church and was an active
member of the community including the following; CN Supervisors Assoc.,
CN Pensioners Assoc., The Society of Management Accountants, (Registered
Industrial Accountant), The Moncton Probus Club, Karing Kitchen Board
of Directors, Bicentennial Skating Club, Capital Theatre Volunteer
and the Hub City Dancers.

Surrounded by his loving family, Francis Michael Jackman passed
peacefully away on Monday, September 18th, 2000, after
a courageous battle with cancer. He was 79 years of age. Predeceased

Kelly, Cyril Joseph
(Retired Bank of Montreal). Passed away peacefully on Saturday,
September 2nd, 2000, at his home in Dartmouth, NS,
surrounded by family. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, July 1st,
1938, her was a son of the late Cyril Sr. and Mary (Drew) Kelly. A beloved
husband and devoted father, Cyril instilled love, kindness and courage
in his family. He was a true inspiration and source of pride and will
be greatly missed and remembered with love by his wife Kay (O'Reilly)
and children; Robert, Montreal, QC.; Sean, Guelph, ON; Karen, Tampa,
FL.; and Colleen, Dartmouth, NS. Cyril is also survived by his brothers;
Michael, Brampton, ON; Wayne, Halifax, NS and Blaine, St. John's,
NL. He will also be missed by a large circle of family and friends.

Markert in 1974. She is survived by her four children, James Roil Earle
of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, William Ewart Earle of Denver, Colorado,
USA., Millicent Earle Leenhouts of Sedona, Arizona, USA, and Doreen
Earle Northway of Vista, California, USA; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
No formal services is planned at the request of the deceased. A private
cremation will be held with burial at the Church of England Cemetery
in St. John's, Newfoundland.

McCormack, Mildred Rose (nee Dwyer)
At Caressant Care Nursing Home, Marmora, ON, on September, 24th,
2000, Mildred Rose McCormack of RR#4, Marmora, ON, in her 92nd year.
Born at St. John's, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of
Philip and Julie Dwyer. Wife of the late James McCormack. Mother of Jack
and Joan McCormack, Tweed; Shirley and Jerry Mercer, St. John's,
Newfoundland, Carol and Bunk Hewitt, Marmora, ON, and Ed and Sally McCormack,
London, and the late Doug and Shirley McCormack. Grandmother, great-grandmother
and great-great-grandmother of 94. Sister of Jane King and Mea Wilson,
Newfoundland and the late Margaret Mutford, Gertrude Taylor, Jack Dwyer
and George Dwyer, all of Newfoundland. Mildred married James McCormack
in 1928 in St. John's, Newfoundland, where they lived with their
five children. Carol and Ed were the two youngest children living at
home when Mildred and James moved to London, ON, in the fall of 1950.
In 1959 James passed away at Westminister Veterans' Hospital.
In 1972 Mildred decided to move to Marmora, ON, to live with her daughter
Carol and son-in-law Bunk. Mildred made over 200 quilts which were
given away as gifts. Some were sent to London, ON, to the Salvation
Army auction. Mildred loved music and spent many a Sunday afternoon
with grandchildren listening to records. In the 48 years that Mildred
lived in Ontario she travelled back to her beloved St. John's,
Newfoundland, at least 56 times. Funeral Service was held at McConnell
Funeral Home, Marmora on September 27th, 2000 with Captain
Alf Greening of the Salvation Army officiating. Interment was in Mont
Nebo Cemetery, Springbrook. Pall bearers were grandsons Ken Mercer,
Waterloo, Brian McCormack, Marmora, Honorary pallbearers were grandsons;
Wayne, Garry, Derrick and Scott Mercer, all of St. John's, Newfoundland,
Jim, Ed, Doug, John, Ernie, John McCormack and adopted grandson Kevin
Morrison all of Ontario, Jim McCormack, Alberta and Randy McCormack,

Mrs. Katherine Nazar (nee Mahon) of St. Catharines passed away on Wednesday,
September 27th, 2000 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital after
a short illness. Mrs. Nazar was born at St. John's, Newfoundland on
July 25th, 1920. She was predeceased by her parents James and
Elizabeth (Walsh) Mahon and a brother Aloysius. She leaves to mourn, her
sons; Peter (Susan), Terry (Vi), John (Heather), all of St. Catharines, Bob
(Marion), High Prairie, Alberta; and their father Mr. Phil Nazar; grandchildren;

NL. Predeceased by his father Gerald Sr., and father-in-law Albert
Benson. Left to mourn his loss are his loving wife Debbie (Benson);
children; Andrew and Sarah; his mother Josephine Roberts; sister Marie

September 23, 2000, Al Rowe of Topsail, in his 47th year. He was
born October 28, 1952, in Corner Brook. Leaving to mourn his loss are his
loving family, wife Betty (Pittman), son Michael and daughter Stephanie;
his mother Annie, Corner Brook; sisters: Winnie (Wayne Matthews), Corner
Brook, Cora (Ted Mierzwa), Mississauga, Ontario, Denise (David Seviour),

and Shirley (Gary Mosher), Irishtown; his parents-in-law: Randolph and Daisy

a number of nieces and nephews and a wide circle of other relatives and friends.
Al was a long-time member of the vestry of St. Peter`s Anglican Church, Upper
Gullies. He was president of the CBS Lion`s Club and a member of the Elk`s
Lodge. Remains resting at James. J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews
with visitation from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, September 24. Burial will
take place from St. Peter`s Church, Upper Gullies, Monday, September 25 at

and Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday,
September 5th, 2000 at 9:30 am from Mary Queen of Peace,
with interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road, Flowers
