Druken, Ruby Elizabeth (nee Primroy)
Passed peacefully away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre on November
26th, 1996, at age 75 years. Predeceased by parents, Jack and
Ada Primroy; brother Lester; and granddaughter Victoria Frizzell. Leaving
to mourn her husband of 54 years, David; five daughters; and one son;
daughters; Jeannette (Austin) Tizzard, Portugal Cove, Carol Ann (Eugene)
Tizzard, Wassis, N.B., Mary (James) Duggan, Cape Broyle, Patricia Frizzell,
Peace River, Alberta, Ruby Druken, Portugal Cove; son David Druken,
Portugal Cove; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one brother
Edwin Primroy, Pouch Cove; also a large number of other relatives and
friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay. Funeral Mass
on Friday at 11 am at Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove. Interment
at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Portugal Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted
or donations in her memory to the Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove.
FINN, Thomas Val
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on November 3, 1996, Thomas Val Finn, age 70. Predeceased by brothers: Ray and Steve. Leaving to mourn wife Alice; sons: Derick (Linda), Cambridge, Ont., Robert, Gary (Karen), Patrick, William (Carol Ann), Christopher, all of St. John's; two daughters: Valerie and Karen (Mrs. Glen Herridge), Moose Jaw, Sask; one brother Gerry, Boston, Mass.; 15 grandchildren; also other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral on Wednesday, November 6 at St. Teresa's for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre.
Gulliver, Caroline (nee Hounsell)
Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre on Tuesday,
November 26th, 1996, age 86 years. Predeceased by
her husband John, June 14th, 1991. Leaving to mourn, one daughter
Elizabeth Finn and husband Bill; six sons; Gerald, wife Agnes, Edward,
wife Geraldine, Joe, wife Ida, Pasadena, C.B., Ronald, wife Pauline,
Kitchener, Ontario, John, wife Lynn, Wayne, wife Chris; one brother Lester
Hounsell; one sister Leah Gulliver, resident of St. Luke’s Home;
29 grandchildren 39 great-grandchildren; special thanks to granddaughter
Caroline; grandsons; Gerry, Randy and Paul. Resting at Caul’s Funeral
Home, 84 LeMarchant Road. Funeral Mass on Friday, November 29th, 1996
at 9:30 am from the Basilica. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
KELLY, Johannah M. (nee Lee)
Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family at Palliative Care on November 6, 1996, Johannah Kelly, age 84, of Riverhead, St. Mary's Bay. Leaving to mourn her sad loss, children: Mary (George), Rachael (Jerry), Betty (Bert), Kay (Harold), Stephen (Barb), Stella (Tom), Clare (Willie), Gene (Madonna). Lovingly remembered by 30 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; sister Kitty Bishop; and brother Jack Lee; sisters-in-law: Frances Lee and Cloe Lee. Sadly missed by a large number of family and friends. Remains resting at Gibbons Funeral Home, St. Mary's. prayers and mass cards gratefully accepted or donations may be made to Palliative Care, St. Clares or to a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 9, 1996 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Riverhead, St. Marys Bay. Burial to follow.
