Tobin, John J. (Jack)
A Retired Machinist CNR. Passed peacefully away at the Grace General Hospital, November 30th, 1989, age 63 years. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend Margaret (Brennan), loving daughter Jackie and precious granddaughter Ann Marie, his mother-in-law Mary Brennan, St. John’s, sisters; Bride Power, St. John’s. Mary Bagnoche, Terra Houte, Indiana; Alice Peczkaand, Patricia Divico, both of Revere, Mass.; Maureen Vardy, Richmond, B.C., Sheiligh Davis of Coquitlam and one brother Peter in B.C.; special brother-in-law Len Picco; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home. Funeral on Saturday to St. Patrick’s Church for Mass at 9:30 am.. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Warren, Gertrude (nee Seymour)
Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Health Sciences Complex on Wednesday, November 29, 1989, age 81 years. Predeceased by her husband Frank. Predeceased by her sister Gladys on November 17th, 1989. Leaving to mourn step-daughters; Helen (Mrs. Joseph Irvin), Scotland; Joyce (Mrs. Albert Joyce), Toronto; Sybil (Mrs. Monroe Potter), British Columbia; Barbara (Mrs. Arthur Richards), Dartmouth, N.S.. Predeceased by step-daughter, Mrs. Judy Yetman. Step-sons; Frank O., St. John’s, Rodger K., Mount Pearl, David V., Toronto. Sisters-in-law; Katherine Seymour, Mount Pearl, Muriel Seymour, Mount Pearl. Special friend Ruby warren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at the Carnell Memorial Chapel, Freshwater Road. Visiting hours 2-5 pm and 7-9:30 pm Thursday and Friday. Funeral Service on Saturday, December 2nd, 1989 at 11 am from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to St. Thomas’ Church.

Wells, R. George
Passed peacefully away at the Agnus Pratt Home, November 26th 1989, age 91 years. Leaving to mourn loving wife Frances, sisters-in-law Mrs. Hazel Burnell and Mrs. Mabel Wells, brother-in-law, Ed Burnell and wife Jessie, nephews, David of Gander, Jim of St. John's and Doris Garrett of England, also a number of special friends and relatives. Resting at Barrett funeral Home 328 Hamilton Avenue. Visitation 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. monday and Tuesday 1000 to 12:00 noon on Wednesday. Funeral service 2 P.M., Wednesday, November 29th from Gower Street United Church. Internment at the General Protestant Cemetry. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial Gifts may be made to Gower Street United Church restoration fund or a charity of one choice.

WILLIAMS, Walter
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home November 17, 1989, in his 88 year, Walter Williams, formerly of the Goulds. Leaving to mourn beloved wife Frances (Fanny); two daughters: Millie and husband Danny Chafe, Goulds, and Mavis and husband Bernard Madden of Lahr, Germany; five sons: Leonard and wife Mary, Edward and wife Gen, Richard and wife Mary, Bun, Max and wife Philomena, of Goulds, and Perry and wife Jo of Guelph, Ont.; 27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; also brother Patrick and wife Mary of Cobourg, Ont.; one sister Mary Finn; sister-in-law Beth Williams of Goulds; many nieces and nephews and large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Kevin's Church, Goulds, 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 20th. Interment at the R.C. Cemetery, Goulds.
