BYRNE, William J. ---Formerly of Lance Cove, Bell Island. Passed peacefully away, after a brief illness, in his 84th year, on Saturday, March 15th,1997. Predeceased by his wife Mildred, November 1996; daughter Molly; and sons-in-law: Gerald Perry and Harry Harris. Leaving to mourn, sons; Jim (Daphne), Bill (Amy), Pat, Kevin (Doreen), all of Cambridge, Ont.; daughters: Nancy (Bill Clements), Cambridge, Maria, Mississauga, Elizabeth (Albert Dicks), Fairhaven and Mildred Perry, Chamberlains, with whom he resided; 24 grandchildren,33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Resting at the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews. Visiting hours: 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas of Villa Nova Church, Manuels. Interment at R.C. Cemetery, Topsail.

Field, Sharon (nee Higdon)
Passed away suddenly on March 27th, 1997,
age 43 years. Predeceased by her father John in 1988. Lovingly remembered
by husband William, daughter Tammy and mother Dorothy Higdon; grandmother
Vivian Reid, Grand Falls-Windsor; brother Jerry (Carolann); nephews;
Corey and Jerry Jr., brothers-in-law; Eric (Gertrude), Alex (Mary), Ron
(Kathy), Gerald (Deanna); sister-in-law Marjorie; Godchild Jennel Young
and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Carnell’s
Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Funeral Service took place on Saturday,
March 29th, 1997 at 2 pm from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
Interment will take place in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road on
Monday, March 31st, 1997 at 2 pm.. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations
in her memory may be made to the Arthritis Society.

Passed peacefully away at his home in the presence of his loving family, Algy Windsor of Aquaforte, on March 21, 1997, age 69 years. Left to mourn
With lifelong loving memories, wife Anna (nee Johnson); children, Algy (Anne), Sharon (Ron Coady), Debbie (Terry Trainer), Yvonne (Les O’Toole) Billy (Madonna); 13 grandchildren, brother Bruce (Helen) Windsor of Kilbride: sisters: Dororthy Keough and Grace (Claude) Stoodley, Aquaforte: sister-in-law Mercedes Windsor and brother-in-law Paddy Curran of Ferryland, and a large circle of family and friends. Flower gratefully accepted or donations can be made to St. Philips Anglican Church in Aquaforte. Resting at Faheys Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Funeral on Monday March 24 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Aquaforte. Internment at the R.C. cemetery in Aquaforte.
