GLADNEY, Don Frederick - How Does one begin to describe the
life of a man who touched so many? He was a strong willed and witty man, who
had this unique talent in using sarcasm and humour hand in hand. No matter
what he was talking to you about or a story he was telling, he was always teaching
you a lesson about life, good or bad, but always a teacher. He is a man of
great adventure, who was privileged enough to explore all corners of this wonderful
world. Always filling a room with laughter and tales of his travels. He may
have left us physically on June 5th, 2010, against
the worst possible odds. Having a heart too large and full of love to keep
on beating in its' weaken state, Don was surrounded by his family from here
and beyond our borders. Parents Herbert and Frederica, siblings Wayne and Paula
survive him. He has left a legacy of wisdom and advice he has passed on to
his nieces and nephews (Jason, Danielle, Sean, Jerry, Caitlin and Riley). A
special mention to his Uncles and Aunts who helped guide him. Don showed us
all how much strength one person can endure, by still smiling and getting up
the next day and keep on going. He was a pillar of strength for his love Marlene
(his Dove) and their son Steven. With their love and guidance they have raised
a wonderful man and father to Don's only surviving grandchildren Connor (his
little helper) and Antonio (his little adventurer). Their two children brought
so much joy to Marlene and him, that words can't explain it. He will be missed
by so many, but we will not mourn his passing, we will remember him with love
as we celebrate his life. A memorial service will be held in his honour on
Thursday, June 10th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church on
17955 Leslie St., Newmarkert (905) 853-5009 with a luncheon to follow. In lieu
of flowers, donations can be made at www.smiletrain.org for the World's Leading
Cleft Lip and Palate Repairs for Children.

RHYNOLD (Cramm), Muriel Josephine "Josie" - (80)
Antigonish. It is with profound sorrow and sadness that the family announce
the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother. At home, surrounded by spring
flowers, music, and her much loved family Josie peacefully left this world
on June
25th, 2010, after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. Josie
was born in Old Perlican, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland and was the daughter of
Gordon Stanley Cramm and Eliza Foote Christian (Burt) Cramm. As a young woman
Josie worked as a secretary and bookkeeper with the St John's Ambulance. Josie
moved to Toronto in 1957 and it was there she met her husband Leonard with
whom she raised three children. In 1981 her family moved to Nova Scotia where
Josie and Len purchased the Oasis Motel, Trailer Court and Campgrounds in Lower
South River near Antigonish. Josie was the glue that kept the family operation
together for the past thirty years. She was a constant in the office and she
enjoyed greeting visitors from far and wide especially those from her beloved
Newfoundland. She meticulously attended to all aspects of the business and
always found time for each and every one especially her family. This gentle
lady possessed a tender spirit and a compassionate heart and always had a kind
word and a warm smile. Josie was a devoted grandmother and although her days
were busy and tiring she always had time for the countless book readings, concerts,
sports activities and cookie baking. She always made special memories for each
of her grandchildren. Josie will also be remembered for her remarkable memory,
quick wit and keen sense of humour. She loved her family so much that even
in her final days she tried to lessen the burden of grief by using her humour
to help fill the hours with laughter so as to temper the tears. She touched
the lives of many people and was loved by so many. She will be deeply missed
and lovingly remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her devoted
daughters, Patti (Jim) Boudreau, Williams Point, Trudi Lenne Rhynold, (Ronnie
Richard), Piedmont, son , James A.G. Rhynold, (Carolyn Easterly), Antigonish,
