to a charity of one's choice. DUNPHY, Donna L. (Pires) - Died tragically on June 3, 2001.
Leaving to mourn daughters: Meaghon and Hannah; mother Fern Pires; sisters:
Sandra Sarcinha and her family; also sister Margaret Pires, as well as other
relatives and friends. Donna lived in Rhode Island prior to moving to Labrador
and Newfoundland in 1975 where she had settled with her daughters. Donna was
an inspirational teacher at St. Peter's School where she was well loved by
her students, their families and staff, she will be greatly missed. Visitation

at St. Vincent's Guest House, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Born February 16,
1916, in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Minnie Brocklehurst
and William Chisholm. She met her husband Walter Maloney in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania,
and they lived in several areas of the United States and France before retiring
to Holyrood, Newfoundland. She will be remembered most for her gentle, friendly
personality and complete devotion to her family. She will be sadly missed by
her three sons: William (and wife Laura Finlayson), Halifax; James (and wife
Susan), Hartsville, South Carolina; and John (and wife Faith), Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil; her brother Russell Chisholm (and wife Phyllis), Greenville, Pennsylvania;
and her four beloved grandchildren: Kevin, Leanne, Katie and Jaimie Maloney.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter and her sister Florence Bortz (Chisholm).
A private family service will be held in Halifax, Snow's Funeral Home officiating,
with a Memorial service at a later date in Stoneboro, Pennsylvania. Her loving
family and friends will have wonderful memories forever. MASON, William - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital
on Tuesday, June 19th, 2001, William Mason in his
79th year, of Avondale. Predeceased by his son Hubert; his grandson
Andrew Jr.; and his sister Elizabeth Hannifan. Left with fond and loving memories
are his devoted wife of 55 years, Winnifred (nee Flannigan); his six sons:
Andrew (Mercedes), Avondale, Kevin (Lucina), Brigus, Angus (Kay), Ft. McMurray,

beloved "Mom" and "Grandma" peacefully
passed away, after a courageous battle, in Kamloops. Laura was born on July
10, 1934 in Bell Island, Nfld. Here she met and married her soul mate, Herbert.
Laura's life was dedicated to raising her seven children. She will be sadly
missed by her only daughter Susan (David) Vachon; her six sons: Herbert Jr.,
Gary (Beth), Powell River, Robert (Pauline), Cambridge, Ontario, Gerry (Jayne),
Jim, David (Petra), all of Pinantan Lake, B.C. Grandma will also be missed
by her 14 grandchildren: Sona, Jason, Shane, Shannon, Shaun, Rob, Jaime Lee,
Tiffany, Melissa, Desiree, Dawson, Stacy, Shelby and Samantha; as well as 7
great-grandchildren: Shawna, Colin, Shae-lynn, Austin, Adam, Braydon and Bobby.
Laura will also be dearly missed by her sisters: Jenny (Lou Bartlett), Barbara
Ann (Gord Bartlett) and Mary (Ray Snow), all of Cambridge; her brothers: Leo
Cole (Marie), St. John's, Nfld. and George Cole (Rita), Cambridge; sisters-in-law
Madonna Cole and Anna Cole, Cambridge, Patricia Cole, Brantford and brother-in-law
Tom Sullivan; also Lucien and Delores Daoust; numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws
and special friends. She is predeceased by her Love, Herbert; her parents Arthur
and Theresa Cole; brothers: Maxwell, Peter, Raymond and Nick Cole; sister Jean
Sullivan. Friends will be received at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive,
on Friday, June 29 at 1-3 p.m., 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, June 30 from 11 a.m.
