his father Thomas Coady (1981) and his mother Elizabeth Coady (Fewer) (1995).

Passed away suddenly at his home in Portugal Cove on Monday,
July 20, 1998, Alexander Peddle, aged 74 years. Predeceased by his wife Belinda
Louise, daughter-in-law Kelly and brother Tom. Left to mourn with fond
and loving memories, his daughters; Linda Clouston (Grant) with whom
he resided and Rosalind Clarke (Randell), Bell Island; sons; Ambrose
(Judy) and Don, both of Portugal Cove; 11 beloved grandchildren and 4
cherished great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn his brothers; Roland
Smith, Nathan (Laura) Smith and William (Una) Smith; sister-in-law Myrtle
Smith; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell's
Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 pm
and 7-9 pm and Thursday from 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral Service to take
place on Thursday, July 23, 1998 at 2 pm from Memorial United Church,
Portugal Cove with interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Bauline
Line. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the

PETTEN, Doris A. - Passed peacefully away on Sunday,
July 12th, 1998 Doris A. Petten of Kelligrews, age 87
years. Predeceased by husband Nathaniel Petten and son-in-law Reginald Tilley.
Leaving to mourn two daughters: Jean Petten (Henry) and Goldie Tilley; two
grandsons and five granddaughters; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers:
Emerson Mercer and Rex Mercer; one sister Hazel Tilley; and a number of nieces
and nephews; caregivers: Lloyd and Bev Haynes; and special friend Pheobe

Center on Sunday, July 19th, 1998 Edgar Rideout, Long Pond,

Barbara (David); step-son Richard (Debbie); nine grandchildren: Sherri Lynn,

Gerald (Edna); four sisters: Caroline Peach (Furness), Lillian King (Fred),

Hospital, Bell Island, in his 74th year. Predeceased by his parents Archibald
(1966), Susan (1972), brothers Lloyd, William, Fred and sister Pearl. Leaving
to mourn his ever devoted and caring wife Carrie (Morgan); daughters: Linda
(Eugene MacIssac), Enfield, NS, Sandra (Lew Bragg) Bell Island, Marilyn (Wayne
Greenslade), Long Pond, Manuels; son Wally, Vancouver, B.C.; grandchildren:
Gina (Joey MacIssac), Moncton, N.B., Paul (Amy MacIssac) Enfield, N.S., Louanne
Bragg, Kitchener, Ont., Krista and Jonathan Bragg, Bell Island; great-grandchildren:

November 21, 1995. Leaving to mourn with forever lasting memories his loving

19th, 1998 after a long, courageous battle with cancer, Leonard
A. Taylor of Gunner's Cove, formerly of Kelligrews. Aged 55 years. Leaving
to mourn his wife Jeanette (nee Roberts); children: Trevor (Michelle) and
Trudy (Michael Walsh); grandchildren: Ian and Nicolas; mother Olive Taylor;
brothers: Eric (Edith), Mervyl (Lillian), Calvin (Nina); sisters: Zeta Butler
(Gilbert), Rev. Sandra Tilley (Frank); and a number of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Predeceased by his father Allan; and infant sister
Myra. Resting at Central United Church, Raleigh/ Griquet Pastoral Charge.
