BIDGOOD, Francis
Passed peacefully away after a short illness at his residence in Petty Harbour, Francis Bidgood, in his 94th year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Lucy (nee Hannaford); four sons: John, Luke, Ambrose and William; four daughters: Theresa (Mrs. John Dinn), Annie (Mrs. Robert Chafe), Gertrude (Mrs. Jack Walsh) and Elizabeth (Mrs. James Doyle); 47 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one great-great-child, and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral on Thursday to St. Joseph's Church, Petty Harbour for Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment at Petty Harbour. 

BOYLES, Ethel
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, January 12th, 1983, Mrs. Ethel Boyles (Benmore), aged 79 years. Leaving to mourn her loving husband Donald (Don); one brother Kenneth Benmore; special nieces: Evelyn (Mrs. Jim King) (nee Vincent), of Goulds; Mary (Mrs. Jim Purcell), Kilbride; Jean (Mrs. George Vincent), Goulds; and a number of other relatives and friends. The late Mrs. Boyles was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth (Lizzie) Warford on January 3rd 1983. Resting at the Carnell Memorial Chapel, Freshwater Road. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 14th at 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Goulds. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Goulds.

DALTON, Marie
Passed peacefully away on January 4, 1983, at the Health Science Complex, Marie (Wally) Dalton, in her 73rd year. Leaving to mourn two sons: Harry (daughter-in-law Ethel); Kevin (daughter-in-law Anne); six grandchildren; also one brother Edward Chafe of Petty Harbour; two sisters: Bella Mosdell of St. Luke's Home and Myrtle Cox of the Goulds. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Funeral service from St. Paul's Church, Goulds on Friday, January 7 at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Petty Harbour.

WARFORD, Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away on Monday, January 3, 1983, Elizabeth (Lizzie) (nee Benmore), aged 91 years, wife of the late William Warford, 21 Brookfield Road. She leaves to mourn three sons: Rupert, St. John's; Alex at Toronto; and David at St. John's: three daughters: Carrie (Mrs. Jess Hall) at Halifax; Mrs. Ann Lundrigan, St. John's; and Jean (Mrs. George Vincent) at the Goulds; 38 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren; one brother Kenneth Benmore of Ruby Line; one sister Ethel Boyles at the Goulds; also other relatives and friends. Remains resting at her late residence, 21 Brookfield Road. The funeral will take place on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church Chapel. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.

White Hugh
Passed peacefully away at Grace General Hospital, on January 13th, 1983, Hugh, aged 69 years. Leaving to mourn his six daughters: Ida Michaels, Powell River B.C., Shirley Jennings, Ottawa, Ontario; Delores Curran, Ferryland: Doris Kavanagh, Ferryland; Jean Doyle, Ferryland and Maureen White, Ferryland; four sons: Derroch White, Halifax, N.S.; Roy White, Mount Pearl; Carl White, Ferryland and Kevin White of Calvert; two sisters; Mrs. Mary Paul of Ferryland, and Blanche White of St. John’s and brother Larry White of Aquaforte; also 12 grandchildren. Mass will be from the Holy Trinity Church in Ferryland on Saturday, January 15th. Internment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Ferryland.
