CHAFE, Cyril Stanley
Passed suddenly away on Thursday, January 14, 1982 at his residence 89 Cornwall Ave. Cyril Stanley Chafe, aged 77 years, former employee of Bowering Brothers, Southside. Leaving to mourn one daughter June (Mrs. James Renouf); three sons: Cyril, Dermot and Noel, also 11 grandchildren, all of St. John's; three sisters: Isobel (Mrs. William Penney); Gladys (Mrs. William Fagan) St. John's; and Dorothy (Mrs. James Garland) of Harbour Grace, also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral will take place on Monday at St. Mary the Virgin Church for service at 2 p.m. Interment at Holy Seppulchre Cemetery.
Passed peacefully away on Saturday January 16, 1982, Monica Kennedy, aged 80 years. She leaves to mourn, her sons William at St. John's and James at Petty Harbour; two daughters Mary Stokes, Auburndale, Fla. and Lillian (Sister Elizabeth) at Presentation Convent, Cape St. George; nine grandchildren, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Her sister Jane predeceased her two days ago. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral Tuesday to Petty Harbour for Mass at 12 noon. Interment at Petty Harbour.
