CRAWLEY, Jerome (Jerry) - Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex on Friday, February 13th 1998, Jerome (Jerry) Crawley in his 80th year of Holyrood. Left with fond and loving memories are his devoted wife Mary (nee Chafe); his daughter Lorraine (John) Devereaux, Holyrood; his sons: Francis (Germaine), Holyrood and Loyola (Marilyn), Long Pond; his nine cherished grandchildren and two precious great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Mildred (Richard) Dobbin, Florida and a circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood. Visitation on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.; on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Funeral will take place on Monday following 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from Holy Cross Church, Holyrood. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Southside, Holyrood.

Drover, Peter
Passed peacefully away at this home, Thursday, February 26th, 1998, in his 88th year. Leaving to mourn Lenzie, his devoted wife of 57 years; son Jim (Margaret); daughter Angela Pfeiffer (Carl), San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren; Mark Adamson, Dallas, Texas; Nancy Marcus (Craig), Los Angeles, CA., Jennifer and Janice Drover; one great-grandchild Jack Marcus; sisters Jenny Foley, Uxbridge, Mass., Agnes Allen (Bill) Greenville, Rhode Island; Mildred MacKinnon, Uxbridge, Mass., and many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Visitation Friday 7-9 pm., Saturday and Sunday, 2-4 pm 7-9 pm. and Monday 10 am - 12 noon. Funeral will take place 2 pm Monday, March 2nd, 1998 at St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove. No Flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove.

Fleming, Gordon Francis
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, February 12th, 1998, age 71 years, former member of both the British and U.S. Forces. Leaving to mourn his beloved wife Eileen (nee Thomas); one sister Eileen, USA; one brother-in-law Martin Thomas (Margaret); sister-in-law; Betty Fleming (wife of the deceased Gerald Fleming): and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by all, especially his special friends Dr. Vinod Patel and family, Dr. Karit Patel and family, Eric Hemeon, Tom Barrington, Jim Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Bates and family and his special great-nephew Stephen Norman. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road from 7-10 pm Thursday and 2-5 pm and 7- 10 pm Friday. Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 14th, 1998 at 11:30 am from the Basilica. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Parrell, Gordon Charles
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, February 10th, 1998, Gordon Charles Parrell, age 87 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Lill; son Bill, wife Betty; daughter Betty, husband Walter Tapper; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially long time friend and neighbor Lorraine Truscott. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visiting hours 2-5 pm and 7-10 pm Wednesday and Thursday. Funeral Mass on Friday, February 13th, 1998 at 9:30 am from the Basilica. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Rowsell, Frances Mary
Passed peacefully away, after a short illness, at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, February 18th, 1998, Frances Mary Rowsell, aged 78 years. Leaving to mourn sons; David (Lois), Topsail and Ken (special friend Joy), South Carolina, USA.; 4 grandchildren; Michael, Heather, Justin and Emily Rowsell; sister Gwen (Kenneth Aird), Scotland; brother Neville Cook, Scotland; nephews; Philip Randell and John Cook; nieces; Angela King and Heather Courage; brother-in-law Jack (Frances) Rowsell, Mass., USA.; sisters-in-law; Millicent Rowsell, N.S., Eileen Cranford, Mass. and Bernie Rowsell, Mass.; special friend Mary Samson; other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation beginning 2 pm Thursday, February 19th, 1998. Funeral Service from St. Augustines Anglican Church, Westerland Road on Saturday, February 21st, 1998 at 2 pm. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
