Butler, Josephine (nee Morey)

Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home on Thursday, February 2, 2017, Josephine Butler (nee Morey), aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Joe Butler (1993) and five infant sons; Bobby, Randy, Joseph, Paul and Michael. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, her children; Mary (Gerry O'Brien), Joanne (Herb Gorman), John (Judie), Gus (Jill), Karen, Annette and Ted (Roxanne), twelve grandchildren; Michael (Reina), Sean (Stacey), and Robert (Rebecca) O'Brien, Tracy (Scott) and Scott (Michelle) Gorman, Shawna and Brett (Nichole) Butler, Leigh Ann and Lesley Butler, Kayla (Barry), Scott and Kyle (Courtney) and Taylor Butler; ten great-grandchildren: Mitchell, Alexander, Mady, Nolan, Gray, Oliver, Paige, Rylie, Blake and Kaylee; sisters-in-law; Theresa Morey and Patricia Butler (ON); brothers-in-law; James Collins (NJ) and Raymond Butler (Patsy). Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday, February 4 from 7-9 P.M. and on Sunday, February 5 from 12-9 P..M.. Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Parish in Portugal Cove on Monday, February 6, 2017 at 10 A.M., with cremation to follow. Special thanks to the staff of 3 North. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Josephine's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Byrne, Peter William
Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle on February 12, 2017, aged 72 years. Predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Otto Byrne, sister Maureen; mother and father-in-law Enid and Dr. Bernard Maher; and Robert Reid. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 53 years, Bernadette (nee Maher); children; Chris (Jacqueline), Pamela (Terry) Horwood, and Peter Jr. (Susan); grandchildren; Katie (Riley) and Joshua Horwood and Murray and Lillian Byrne; brothers; Otto (Sharon) and William; sister Joan; brother-in-law Gerry Coughlan; sisters and brothers-in-law in England; too many wonderful friends to mention; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family near and far. Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Melvin, Dr. Doug Taylor, Dr. Thavanathan and Dr. Greg Rideout; head nurse Pat Vickers and the wonderful staff on 5 East at St. Clare's who treated Peter and our family with the greatest love and respect over the past several months. Thanks also to the Community Health Nurses who provided many years of care. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 P.M. and Wednesday from 2-9 P.M.. Crocker, Shirley (nee Gorman)

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Thursday, February 9, 2017, Shirley Crocker (nee Gorman), age 68 years. Predeceased by husband, Jim Crocker (2000) and common-law partner, George Butterworth (2016). Leaving to mourn her mother Marguerite Gorman; brothers and sisters; Ches (Marg), Barbara (Walter Rose) and Cyril (Penny); nieces and nephews; Tracy, Scott, Sheldon, Krista, Stephanie, Michael, Andrew, Stephanie, Barbara & Bruce. Hayden, Edith E

Age 96 years of Salem died Monday at Salem Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Hayden for more than 66 years. Born in Newfoundland, Canada, she attended Fisher Jr. College in Boston. She was a member of First Church Congregational in Swampscott for over 50 years. An avid reader, she enjoyed knitting and doing crossword puzzles. She reveled in spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by 5 Children: Robert L. Hayden Jr. and his wife Gloria of Sante Fe, NM, Bruce W. Hayden and his wife Cyndi of Warsaw, NY, Todd A. Hayden and his wife Jill of St. Louis Park, MN, Elizabeth L. Plourde and her husband Robert of Haverhill and Jude Toner and her husband John of Marblehead; 7 grandchildren: Alec Vegan of Medford, MA, Jamison Adair and his wife Christine of San Marcos, CA, Christopher Plourde and Caitlin Plourde, Heather Mason, Lesley Hayden and Douglas Hayden and the late Blake Adair; and 5 great grandchildren. Healey, Odell J. (nee O'Quinn)
Of Quincy, February 12, 2017 @ 76, formerly of Dorchester for 30 years. She was born in Searston, Codroy Valley, Newfoundland. She met her husband Paul while he was stationed at Earnest Harmon AFB in Stephenville, Newfoundland. Married at Saint Gregory's in Dorchester in 1964. She retired from State Street Bank after a long career where she was fortunate to make lifetime friends. Breast Cancer survivor 0f 30 years. Wife of the late Paul M. Healey (1996). Cherished mother of Patricia J. Healey and her husband Michael Margulis of MD, Paul F Healey and his wife Nancy (Casey) of Belmont and Michael F. Healey and his wife Sue (Pritchard) of Marshfield. Proud & loving grandmother of Cullen , Elizabeth, Breah , Madeline "Maddie" & Margaret "Maggie". Siblings Carl O'Quinn of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Jeanette Doran of Torbay, NL , Eva Duffy of Port Au Port NL, Caroline O'Quinn of Ontario, Canada, Barbara and her husband Dan Chan of Ontario, Canada, Joan Nichol of Ontario, Monica and her husband Bob Bungay of St Andrews, NL, Wayne and his wife Nancy O'Quinn of Ontario, Canada. Sister in-laws; Kay O'Quinn of Searston, NL, Triff O'Quinn of NL and Heidi O'Quinn of Ontario. She is predeceased by Benedick "Dick", Ronald "Ron", Edward "Ed" O'Quinn, brother in-laws Steve Doran, Neil Duffy, sister in law Ruby O'Quinn. Sister in-law Nancy (Healey) Larkin of Quincy & the late Sally, Jane & John Healey as well as brother in-law John Larkin. Also survived by 41 nieces & nephew. 1932-2017

Passed peacefully away at home on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, age 84 years. Predeceased by his mother and father Margaret and Peter O'Mara; siblings: Peg. Pete, Mary, Joan, Mad, Bill and Michael. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife Marie (nee Keough); sons John (Maggie), Steve (Barb), Paul (Tanya); grandchildren Meaghan, Katie, Kristen, Liam and Sophie; sister Josephine, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 P.M. and 7-9 P.M.. Pittman, Margaret Josephine (nee Denine)
Passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by her family on Monday, February 13, 2017, Margaret Josephine Pittman (nee Denine) at age 94 years, was predeceased by her loving husband, Bill: son Gary, parents Margaret and Patrick Denine; brothers, Paddy, Willie, Aiden, John, Frankie and Leo. Leaving to mourn, her children; Betty Evans (Robert), Diane Pittman (Warren), Patti Pittman (Andrew), Barry Pittman (Cindy), and Tina Gray (Wendell). Margaret also leaves to mourn her sisters; Alice Mayo (Bill-deceased), Catherine Mallard (Kevin), Mary Mercer (Jack), Anne Quinlan (John) and Stella Mercer (Hube), along with her brother Joe Denine (Freda). Also special family members; Mary Janiak (Vince), Jerome Pittman (Maureen), Angela Afonso (Alex-deceased); grandchildren; Tina, Cheryl, David, Pamela, Rob, Tracey, Hayley, Hannah, Maria and Riley; great-grandchildren Matthew, Liam, Margaux, Andrew and Alyssa and one great-great grandchild Quinn.
