CHAFE, Edward George
Passed away after a long illness on December 19th., Edward George Chafe in his 65th year. Leaving to mourn: his wife Effie; one daughter, Evelyn (Mrs. Frank Chafe) of Petty harbour; four sons, Reginald of Petty harbour, Frank of Topsail, Cecil and Kevin of Kilbride; three daughters-in-law, Bernice, Ina, and Sheila; one son-in-law, Frank; 18 grandchildren, two sisters, and five brothers; also a number of relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. Funeral service 2 p.m. Saturday from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Goulds. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Petty Harbour.

CHAFE, Emma May
Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex on December 12th, Emma May Chafe in her 93rd year, daughter of the late Frederick G. and Mary Chafe. Leaving to mourn one sister, Mable and a number of nephews and nieces. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Funeral service 12 noon Friday from St. Thomas' Anglican Church. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.

CHAFE, Roy K.
Passed peacefully away in St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, Roy K. Chafe in his 70th year. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Hazel, eight daughters: Greta (Mrs. Grover Reid), Joan (Mrs. George Chafe), Dorothy (Mrs. Philip Heffernan), Louise, Edna (Mrs. Wilson Hudson), Gladys (Mrs. Ronald Weir), Mabel and June; four sons: Cecil, William, Albert and Max; twenty-six grandchildren; three sisters: Elsie (Mrs. Edward Guest), Mabel (Mrs. Roy Care), and Winnie (Mrs. Gordon Long); three brothers: Eric, Chesley and Ralph, also other relatives and friends. Resting at the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Funeral will take place today Monday at 2:30 p.m. from St. George Anglican Church, Petty Harbour.

EBSARY, Mabel
Passed away suddenly at her residence, 67 Prince of Wales St. on Tuesday, December 18, 1979, Mabel Ebsary, age 55 years. Leaving to mourn her loving husband George; one daughter, Patsy (Mrs. Randy Chafe) of St. John's: one son Melvin of St. John's: two brothers, Cecil and William Anthony both of Upper Gullies: also nephew William Bussey of St. John's, and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at the Carnell Memorial Chapel, Freshwater Road from where funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
