GOODWIN, Elsie Warren
HARBOUR GRACE
Mrs. Elsie Warren Goodwin
, age 81 years, passed away December 10, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Martin.  She was the wife of the late Dr. Whitman Smith Goodwin who died 1954. Mrs. Goodwin, born at Annapolis Royal, N. S. was a daughter of the late James and Annie Warren.  She came to Harbour Grace at an early age and taught at the Methodist School, then on Noad Street. For a great many years Mrs. Goodwin was an active worker and leader in her church and community.  Surviving are 2 sons Warren and Dr. LeRoy; three daughters Janet (Mrs. Edwin Martin), Nan (Mrs. Arthur Godden) Harbour Grace; Florence  (Mrs. Fred Munn) Toronto, Ont. The funeral took place from the home of her daughter. Mrs. A. Godden, Dec. 12.  Rev. A. N. Holmes conducted the services.  Internment was in the United Church Cemetery.

MARTIN, Ronald – Passed peacefully away Tuesday night after a short illness, Ronald Martin, in his 77th year, leaving to mourn two daughters, Mae, at home and Margaret (Mrs. Don Taylor), and four sons, Rex, Ernest, Edwin and Graham, also nineteen grandchildren; one sister Winnie (Mrs. J. Ash) and one brother Ernest.  Funeral from his late residence, 162 Topsail Road, at 2:30 p.m. Christmas Day, to the Anglican Cathedral.  Internment in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.  No flowers by request.
