Crotty, Mary Ellen (nee Butler)
Passed peacefully away at her daughter's residence in Vancouver, B.C., on Sunday, April 29, 1978, Mary Ellen Crotty (nee Butler) of 18 Walsh's Square. Leaving to mourn, husband Leo, mother-in-law Margaret Ann Crotty; three daughters; Peggy Walsh, Faith and Mary (Mrs. F. Daniels); four sons Walter, Ig., Gus and Al: sister Stella and brother John: six grandchildren Craig, Erin, Colleen, Shannon, Mark and Laura Lee. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Wednesday May 3rd. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Thursday May 4th at 10 A.M.. Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery. No flowers by request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Foundation.

Owens, Myles
Passed away suddenly, as a result of a tragic accident, Myles, son of the late Thomas and Sarah Owens. Leaving to mourn loving daughter Karen; five brothers Roderick, Thomas, Patrick, Bryan and Gerry; four sisters Mais (Mrs. Robert Preddigrew), Geraldine (Mrs. William Burton), Kathleen (Mrs. Patrick White), Elizabeth (Mrs. Robert Gorman), and a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral at 3 P.M. Wednesday from the Basilica to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. (May 2,3)

Pendergast, Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away at the Grace Hospital, Elizabeth Pendergast in her 98th year, wife of the late Thomas Pendergast of Old Broad Cove Road. Leaving to mourn two sons William at Corner Brook and Michael at Portugal Cove Road; Four daughters Mary (Mrs. T. Fennessey), Bride (Mrs. Bride Wilkinson), Elizabeth (Mrs. James Hall), Shirley (Mrs. James Tapp); also 43 Grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and a large circle of friends. Funeral Wednesday from Caul's Funeral Home to Church of Holy Rosary in Portugal Cove for Mass at 12 o'clock, Interment in the Portugal Cove Cemetery. (May 1, 2)
