Augustus Carew, 81 years, of Shores Cove, Cape Broyle, son of the late Henry and Esther Carew, Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Irene Yard of New York, Mrs. Margaret Shorry of California, and Mrs. Clara Costello of Ferryland, Nfld. R.I.P.

Hawkins, John
Passed peacefully away, at Ferryland, April 28, 1963, after a short illness, John Hawkins, age 91 years; leaving to mourn two daughters, Theresa (Mrs. Michael Moore), Rita (Mrs. Gordon Johnson); and six sons, Denis, Ambrose, Ignatius, at Admiral's Cove; Patrick, Michael, and John at Cape Broyle. Funeral took place at Ferryland, with Requiem Mass. Burial at Cape Broyle. R.I.P.

Martin, Laura (nee Chafe)
Passed away suddenly, April 30, 1963, at her home, Labrador City, Laura, aged 25; leaving to mourn her loving husband Danny; one son Jan, and one daughter Gail, also mother and father, Mr. & Mrs. Michael Chafe; one sister, Mrs. Richard Williams, and one brother, David Chafe, all of the the Goulds. Funeral will be from the home of her parents at 10 A.M. on Saturday, to St. Kevin's Church, the Goulds.
