13, 2004 at 6:45 p.m., weighing 9 lbs. 1½ oz. Welcoming Keira
are her grandparents Louis and Wanda Furlong and David and Linda Squires. Her
great-grandparents Gordon and Lyla Strange and Raymond and Beatrice Tucker
and Aunt Julia and Uncle Christopher. Special thanks to the staff at the WHC
for all their care.
TAYLOR - It's a baby brother! Gillian, Arthur and William are excited to announce the safe arrival of Alexander Stewart Elton Taylor, born October 6, 2004 at 11:45 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 15 oz. Proud grandparents are Bill and Faith Elton, Dr. Douglas Taylor, Mrs. Phyllis Taylor and great-grandmother Alice May. Special thanks to Dr. Kum for his excellent care, Dr. Forward and the staff of the caseroom.
TEMPLETON - Jim, Kristann (nee Colton) and big brothers Sam
and Will are thrilled to announce the arrival of Jacob Colton on October
16, 2004, weighing 8 pounds, 11 ounces. Also welcoming Jacob are grandparents
Bruce and Paula Templeton and David and Carol Colton, great-grandparents Gladys
Templeton and Derrick Bowring and Uncle Glenn, Aunt Christina, Aunt Sarah and
Uncle Mike. Thanks to Dr. Greene and Dr. Roche for their prenatal care, to
caseroom nurse Cathy for her support, and to Dr. Gill and his team for a safe
delivery. Special thanks to all our family and friends for their extra help
at this wonderful, busy time.
WARREN - Paul and Henrietta (nee Didham) are overjoyed to
announce the birth of their first child, Julia Theresa, on October
14, 2004, at 12:43 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 10.5 ozs. Anxiously waiting
for her arrival were first time grandparents Tom and Pat Warren of St. John's
and fourth time grandparents Dick and Bernadette Didham of St. Catherines,
SMB. Tapping his cane and smiling from cheek to cheek was great-grandfather
Dan Walsh. Many thanks to Dr. Halley and Dr. Kravitz for their exceptional
prenatal care and thank-you to all caseroom staff especially Mark for his quick
reflexes to catch Julia.
WHALEN (FLIGHT) - Benjamin is a big brother!!!!!.... Derrick,
Danette (nee Flight), Benjamin, Ninja and Kitty are happy to welcome Christopher
Michael into their family. Christopher arrived 5 weeks early on October
19, 2004 at the IWK Grace Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia at 5:40
pm, weighing 5 lbs. 3 ounces. Proud grandparents are Dave and Joyce Flight,
St. John's, NL and Terry and Hazel Whalen, Miramichi, NB. Christopher is doing
well and is looking forward to spending time with his big brother. Special
thanks to Sherry, all the doctors and nurses at the IWK who took excellent
care of Christopher and Mommy and also to Daddy who took special care of Benjamin
while Mommy was in hospital.
YOUNG/YABSLEY - Chris and Jillian are delighted to announce
the birth of their second child, a daughter and sister for Nathan, Katherine
Jane Young, born on October 6, 2004 at 9:18 a.m.,
weighing 7 lbs 12½ oz. A special thanks to Dr. Patrick O'Shea for his
wonderful care over the years, especially the last nine months.
