ANDREWS - Craig and Jessica (Bridson). John and Mary Bridson of St. Philip's are thrilled to announce the arrival of their sixth grandchild! David Rowan Andrews was born November 20, 2009, in Ottawa, weighing 10 lbs. 6 oz., to very happy and proud parents, Jessica and Craig, and big brother Euan. Also celebrating: grandparents David and Lisa Andrews, Paisley, Scotland, and Uncle Robert, Aunty Rowena and cousins in Richmond, BC.
Soft as a whisper so precious and sweet, tiny perfection from her head to her feet!

ABBOTT - Ten little fingers, ten little toes, with love and grace the Abbott family grows. Big brother Jonathan, along with Mommy and Daddy, Steve and Lisa (Mulcahy), were thrilled to welcome beautiful Keira Marie Abbott. Born at the HSC, St. John's on November 9th, 2009, weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz. Keira is loved and spoiled already by Grandad and Grammie Abbott and adored by Nanny Mulcahy, watching over Keira from heaven is her special angel Poppy Mulcahy. Special thanks to all our family and friends for the love, gifts and warm wishes. Also a special thank you to Dr. Joanne White for her great prenatal care, and to Dr. Robert Kennedy for Keira's safe delivery, all the great nurses from the caseroom, and all the great staff on 5NB. Mommy and Keira would like to say a special thank you to Daddy for all his love and support.

BUTLER/O'BRIEN - Lisa (O'Brien), Mike Butler and Big Brother Cameron are tickled pink to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter and sister, Kayleigh Mary Lisa Butler. Kayleigh was born November 11, 2009, at 2:04 p.m., weighing 6 lbs. 13 ozs. Kayleigh is welcomed by Nannies Claudine O'Brien and Marion Butler & Poppy Kevin Butler, Aunt Claudine & Uncle Ken and great-nannies Mary Horan & Flora Butler. Looking down from heaven are Kayleigh's Guardian Angels Poppy (Gerry) O'Brien, Aunt Leigha & baby sister Aleigha. She is also welcomed by a large circle of wonderful family and friends. A heartfelt thank you goes out to Dr. Bartellas for his care, compassion and professionalism awaiting the arrival of Kayleigh and for her safe delivery. Many thanks to Lorna in the Fetal Assessment Unit, the case room, 5NB & obstetrical staff at the HSC. Mommy & Kayleigh would like to thank Daddy for his support & Nannie O'Brien for taking care of Cameron while Mommy was in hospital.

COCHRANE/LEGGE - We, Melanie Cochrane and Stephen Legge, are the parents of a sweet baby boy: Aidan John Cochrane Legge is our pride and our joy. Grandparents Augustine J. (Gus) and Michelle Cochrane and Neville and Violet Legge are delighted to say, that Aidan was born in St. John's on November 4, 2009 and 7 lbs. 6 ozs. he did weigh. Best wishes are sent from aunts, uncles and cousins too. Aidan, you are a lucky boy to have so many love you! Much thanks to Drs. Fitzgerald, Galgay and Pike, as well as several nurses for their kind care. We are so blessed to have our son; a lifetime of happiness together we will share.

CORNICK/O'LEARY- Denise and Matthew are happy to announce the birth of their precious baby girl, Maya Rose O'Leary. Maya arrived 12 days late on November 29th, 2009, weighing 8 lbs. 13 oz. Welcoming Maya are proud first-time grandparents Linda Andrews, Joanne O'Leary and Glenn Noseworthy, first-time great-grandparents Clifford and Joan Andrews, Joe and Barb O'Leary and Uncle Alex Cornick. Watching over Maya from Heaven is her guardian angel, Poppy Jim Cornick. Special thanks to family and friends for their kindness and support, and to Nurse Daddy for taking such wonderful care of Mommy while in the hospital.

CROFT/MANUEL - Scot, Jennifer (Manuel) and big brother Parker are overjoyed to announce the arrival of baby girl Reese Margaret Ellen on November 20th, 2009 at 2:45 am, weighing 6 lbs 10 oz. Also welcoming Reese are grandparents Clarence and Marilyn Croft (Goulds), Wayne and Paulette Manuel (Kelligrews), aunts Lisa (Brian) and Heather (Bryan), cousin Jaxson and great-grandparents Harold and Margaret Manuel (Lewisporte) and Lavina Hiller (Campbellton). A special thank-you to Dr. Verge and Dr. Pike for their pre-natal care, to Dr. Kravitz for her quick but safe delivery and to all the nurses in the case room and 5NB for their care and patience. Thank you to the family keeping us safe from above especially great-aunt Ellen Rose, who is the reason Reese blessed our lives.

DOWNEY - Jack is a Big Brother!!! Charlene, David & Jack are ecstatic to welcome SAMUEL PATRICK to the world on Nov 23/2009, @ 8:51 am, weighing in at 8 lbs. Also excited to meet Sam - grandparents Louise & Ray Walsh and Marie & George Downey. A special thanks to Nanny Marie & Auntie Ooie for travelling for Sam's arrival. Very special thanks to our family, especially Nanny Weezie & Poppy Ray for all their care, support and attention. A BIG thank you to Great Aunt Joan, Dr. Terry O'Grady, Dr. Sue Galgay and all the members of the case room and 5NB team.

DUNN/MILLEY- Jimmy, Alison and big brother Adam are thrilled to announce the arrival of Nathan Alexander on November 17, 2009, weighing 8 lbs. 14 ozs. Proud grandparents are Jim and Elaine Dunn, St. John's and Walter and Dorothy Milley, St. Philips. A very special thank you to Dr. Shah, the Janeway staff, IWK Health Centre, Halifax and to all our family and friends for their love and support.

EDWARDS - Big brother Spencer is happy to announce the birth of his new baby brother! Collin Jonathan Edwards was born to Trevor and Sarah Edwards on November 2, 2009 at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario, weighing 8 lbs 14 oz. He is also welcomed by his proud grandparents Janet and Tony Edwards of Paradise, Leslie Litwiller of Kitchener, Ontario and John Litwiller and Art Gillis of Brampton, Ontario. Collin looks forward to visiting The Rock soon to meet all his friends and family.

EVANS - Howard and Deborah (Nee Jenkins) are thrilled to announce the birth of their daughter, Piper Jane, 8 lbs. 10 ozs. on November 27, 2009, in Edmonton, Alberta, a sister for Moira, Parker and Bridget. Proud grandparents Margot and John Evans, Bob and Pat Jenkins, great-grandparents Audrey Boone and Marjorie Jenkins.

EZEKIEL - Scott, Brenda (Butler) and big brother Duke are thrilled to announce the early, but safe arrival of Rachael Irene. Our little princess arrived on Nov. 17th, 2009, at 12:18 PM weighing 5 lbs, 10.5 oz. Welcoming Rachael are proud grandparents Leo & Geraldine Ezekiel of Flatrock and Lawrence & Betty Butler of St Mary's. Special thanks to Dr. Brown, Dr. Crane & Dr. Carrim for all of your pre-natal care, to Dr. Ferguson & all of the caseroom staff, especially Nurse Donna for a safe delivery, and to the staff of 5NB, especially Nurse Ashley Tobin. Mommy and Rachael would also like to thank daddy for being there every step of the way.

GAULTON - The best birthday present arrived to proud mommy Melanie on November 6, 2009, Mason Joseph Gaulton, weighing 5 lbs. 14 oz. Along with mommy and proud daddy Dwayne, welcoming Mason are grandparents Tom and Madeline Murphy and Irene and Brian Gaulton. Special thanks to the case room staff and the nurses on 5NB.

HAND - Jim and Terri-Lynn (Hunt) are overjoyed to announce the birth of their precious boy. James Benedict Hand IV was born on Friday, November 13th, 2009 at HSC at 2:40 a.m., weighing 8 lbs. 8 oz. James is loved and welcomed by Grandparents, Mary and Arthur Hunt, Margaret Hand, and Great-Grandmother Alice Hand. Forever watching over our little one with love from heaven is James' guardian angel, Grand-Dad Jim Hand. Special Thanks to Dr. Lydia Hatcher and Dr. Elias Bartellas for fabulous prenatal care. Thank-you to Dr. Mike Hartman and nurses Joan Dalton and Sherry Parsons for a safe and speedy delivery. We would also like to thank our family and friends for all of your love, presents, well wishes, and support since little James came into our lives. We are so blessed.

HARGREAVES-JAY - Brian & Wanda Hargreaves of Harbour Grace are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first grandchild, Cayden Joseph Brian, born to parents Samantha Hargreaves and Joseph Jay, on November 25th/2009, in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. Weighing in at 5 lbs 14 oz. Also first time Great-Grandparents Neville and Eileen Sheppard also of Harbour Grace, Great-Grandmother Vera Hargreaves (Kingstown upon Hull, UK) and Grandmother Nancy Jay (Edmonton). Aunts, Uncles and Cousins welcome Cayden to our family circle.

HAWKINS - Steve, Nadine (O'Brien), and big brother Noah are delighted to announce the arrival of Isaac Christopher, born November 27th, 2009, weighing 8 lbs. 8 ozs. Sharing in their joy are grandparents Bill and Joan Martin, Max and Jean Hawkins, Dave O'Brien and Aggie Hepditch, great-grandparents Peter and Meta Watkins, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Cherry Pike, Dr. Andrea Singleton, and the staff of the case room and 5NB for their exceptional care during the pregnancy and delivery.

LOCKYER/STAPLE - Born to Justin and Ashley on Friday the 13th of November, 2009 at the RVH in Barrie, ON, a precious baby boy, Dean Mark, weighing in at 8 lbs. 15 oz. Proud 1st time grandparents are George and Rebecca Lockyer and Mark and Marilyn Staple. Proud great-grandmas are Jessie Hynes, Elizabeth Parsons, Bridgette Lockyer. Watching over Dean are great-grandparents Gregory Hynes, Mark and Grace Staple, Leonard Parsons and George Lockyer. Aunts Kelly Staple and Ashley Lockyer lovingly welcome little Dean Mark into their hearts.

MACKEY - Thomas & Ashlee (Mercer) are thrilled to welcome baby boy, Cormac Thomas John, born November 1, 2009 in Houston, TX, weighing 8 lbs, 12 oz. Welcoming Cormac are first time grandparents Tom Mackey, John & Lynn Mercer, Aunt Alexandra, Uncle Jonathan and great-grandparents Nan Bastow, Poppy Dave and Joan. Waiting at home was best friend Brook Trout. Special thanks to family and friends for their support and encouragement.

MACNEILL/PETERS - Sean, Heather and big sister Sophie are thrilled to introduce Anna Deanne Macneill, born Nov. 26, 2009, weighing 6 lbs 13 oz. Proud family are great grandmother Ethel Macneill, grandparents Joan Macneill, Jim Macneill, Geoff and Deanne Peters, Uncle Andrew and Aunt Jennifer Macneill, Uncle Mark and Aunt Nicole Peters and cousins Aaron and Rebecca Macneill and Clara, Lewis and Elliott Peters. We are especially grateful to Dr. Bartellas for his expertise and ever-pleasant manner, and his HSC team noting Dr. Steve Crummey for his incredible support during the delivery.

McGRATH - Jerome, Loralee (Quilty) and big brother Thomas are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl Madison Laura, November 21, 2009, weighing 8 lbs. Proud grandparents Shirley and Nick Quilty and Madeline and David McGrath. Special thanks to Dr. Pike for her prenatal care and Dr. Fowler for a safe and speedy delivery and caseroom nurses, especially Lisa and Kay.

RIDEOUT/MOORES - Chris and Kerri are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their daughter, Samantha Charleigh, born November 17, 2009 at 9:14 a.m. weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. Samantha is the second grandchild for proud grandparents Dave and Violet Moores of Mount Pearl and Bill and Marilyn Rideout of Trinity. Also welcoming Samantha are cousins Callan and Ellie Rose.

SCHELLER - Scott Scheller and Robyn Gulliver are extremely proud to announce the arrival of their precious baby boy, Zachary William Scheller, born on November 5, 2009, weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz. Proud grandparents are Norman and Donna Owers (England), Richard and Sheila Scheller and Wanda Davis. Great-grandparents Ann Pearce and Kay Scheller and many aunts and uncles who anxiously awaited his arrival.

SLADE - Sheldon and Krysta (Brocklehurst) are overjoyed to announce the birth of their first child, a beautiful daughter. Olivia Marie arrived at 12:41 p.m. on November 13, 2009, weighing 8 lbs. 2 ozs. Welcoming Olivia are proud grandparents Frank and Alice Brocklehurst and John and Phyllis Curl. Watching over her from heaven is "Poppy" David Slade. Also welcoming Olivia are numerous excited aunts, uncles and cousins.

SMITH - Our family is complete. Jody, Heather (Durnford) and big brother Logan are thrilled to announce the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Jorja Rae, born November 12, 2009, at 12:33 pm. Weighing 9 lbs. 4 ozs. Welcoming Jorja are grandparents George and Lorraine Durnford and Mary Smith. Watching over from heaven is Poppy (Lionel) Smith. Special Thanks to Dr. Pat O'Shea for his prenatal care as well as the Doctors and Nurses in the case room and on 5NB.

SNOW - Chris and Deanne (Burton) are thrilled to announce the birth of the little Olympic torchbearer, Grace Marie. Grace was born on November 19, 2009, weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz. Welcoming Grace into this world are her canine sister Annie, first time grandparents Bob and Marie Burton, Aunt Karen, Uncle Jonny, Aunt Erin and Uncle Steve. Also welcoming Grace are grandparents Geoff and Carol Snow and her Aunt Cathy, Uncle Damien and cousins Noah and Mikey and Tobey in Australia. We would also like to thank Dr. Healey, Dr. Bartellas, Dr. Kirby and their teams for the excellent pre-natal care and safe arrival of Grace. Special thanks to our neighbours, friends and family, especially Nurse Kelly for their help and support.

ST. JOHN - David and Janice (nee Clarke) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their precious baby girl, Alexa Mae, born at the HSC on November 17, 2009, and weighing in at a whopping 10 lbs. 9 oz. Alexa is welcomed by big sister Jessica, big brother Jacob, Grandma (Marie) and Grandpa (Robert) Clarke and Nanny (Hannah) and Poppy (Joseph) St. John, as well as many other family and friends.
