Barrett / Kielly
Glen and Tammy (nee Kielly) and big brother Jonathan are delighted to announce the  arrival of Richard Glen, weighing 6 lbs. 6 ozs., at his home in Mount Pearl, on Saturday, March 13, 1999, at 12:10 am. Proud grandparents are Richard and Esther Barrett and Patrick and Jane Kielly, also many aunts and uncles. Special thanks to Dr. Bartellas and all the 2nd floor OBS staff at the Grace Hospital. Also thanks to General Hospital Ambulance attendants Richard Clark and Gina Everson and Dr. Sandra Duke. Mommy would like to give Daddy and Nanny and Poppy Barrett hugs and kisses for safely delivering her precious angel to her. We love you Richard.

Burton / Pack
Robert and Wanda (nee Pack). Mommy and Daddy are overjoyed to announce the safe arrival of their first child, Kyle Robert Herbert, born March 4th, 1999 at 4:18 am., weighing 8 lbs. 4 ozs.. Proud grandparents are Bob and May Burton, and Herb and Jennie Pack; and speical great-grandma Lorena Kelloway. Special thanks to the Grace Hospital 2nd floor and caseroom staff.

Carew / /Swain
Wayne and Laura are proud to announce the safe arrival of their first child, a precious baby boy- Blake William. Born March 3rd, 1999 at 4:16 pm., weighing 5 lbs. 9 ozs., at the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, AB. Proud grandparents are Alfred and Betty Swain of Calvert, NF, Bill and Hannah Carew of Cape Broyle, NF, and great-grandparents Jim and Ann Carew of Admiral's Cove, NF. Thanks to Dr. Pramod Verma, Dr. Rafi Husain, nurses Sharon Pawloski, Sarla Sasahadi, Kathy Steel and all the nurses at Unit 32 and 35. Special thanks to Dad, Arlene Harvey and Joan Power.

Duke / Hall
Glenn and Kim (Hall) are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child, Zachary Frederick, on Thursday, March 11, 1999, at the Georgetown District Memorial Hospital, Ontario, weighing 7 lbs. 5 ½ ozs. Proud grandparents are Catherine Hall, North River and Angela and Phillip Duke, Holyrood.

Dwyer / Tobin
Janette and David are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Kaila Dorothy on March 7, 1999, weighing 6 lbs. 11 ozs.. Proud grandparents Kevin (late Dorothy) Tobin and Mary (late James Dwyer. Special thanks to the delivery team of Dr. Patti Power, Dr. Kum and nurse Ruth Martin. Thanks to Dr. O'Grady and nurse Heather Rees; also special thanks to coaches, Janette's sisters, Carolann and Patsy, and Denise Collins for their kindness and support during the delivery.

Tom and Karen (Holloway) are proud to announce the safe arrival of a baby brother for Mark. Michael Samuel Lewis was born March 15, 1999 at 1:26 a.m. weighing 6 lbs. 4 ozs. Proud grandparents are Peg and Reg Holloway of Kelligrews, Rick and Eileen Hibbs of Musgravetown and gandma, Dorthy Rogers of Sarasota.

Johnston / Phillips
Leslie and Brian are beaming, over the somewhat bumpy, but otherwise safe arrival of Noah Phillip Arthur on Tuesday, March 9, 1999. Proud grandparents Art and Jenny Johnston and Charles and Edith Phillips are ecstatic. Leslie, Brian, and Noah would like to extend special thank-you's to the caseroom staff at Grace Hospital, especially nurses Joan Dalton and Janet McGrath for their patience and encouragement during the bumpiest hours of the night, Dr. Joan Roche, Dr. Nas "Can-We-Buy-You-Lunch" Badrudin and Dr. Lisa Dawson for their extraordinary skills and compassion. A special thank-you is also extended to Janet Murphy-Goodridge for getting a battered Mom and a sleepy boy co-operating nicely on breast feeding. Lastly, and most importantly, unending gratitude is extended to Dr. Elizabeth Bannister for her patience, kindness, dedication and lifelong friendship.

Mercer / Whalan
Anthony and Katrina welcome with love, another son, Jarod Thomas, born on March 6, 1999, weighing 9 lbs. 5 ozs.. Proud grandparents, Everett and Cavell Mercer of Bay Roberts and Lawrence and Bernice Whalan of Whitehorse, Yukon. Special thanks to Dr. Marais and Deplessis of Carbonear General Hospital.

Morefield / Newman
Shirley and Ray Newman of Ferndale, are pleased to announce the birth of their 5th grandchild, Maria Daphne, at the IWK Grace Health Centre on March 10th, 1999, weighing 7 lbs. Proud parents are Daphne and Dave Morefield and big brother Matthew of Porters Lake, Nova Scotia. Another cousin for Kathleen, Abigail and Heather.

Neary / White
Carl and Julianna (White) are pleased to announce the safe arrival of Michelle Phyllis on Sunday, March 28, 1999 at 6:38 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 7 ozs. "Big Sister" Christina is delighted. Proud grandparents are George and Phyllis White of Bridgewater, NS and Ron and Sandra Neary of Portugal Cove. Great-grandparents are Cecil and Eva White (Winterland), Eric and Hilda Abbott (Portugal Cove) and Paul and Alma Neary (St. John's). Special thanks to Dr. Kravitz and her team, along with caseroom nurses Annette and Karen. Very special thanks to Daddy and Grandma for being there!

Quessy / Kearsey It's a boy!
Jim, Wanda (Kearsey) and big sister Amber are delighted to announce the safe arrival of 8 lb. 3 oz., Riley Samuel James. Born at the Grace General on March 15, 1999 at 10:40 pm. Proud grandparents are Fred and Jean Kearsey, Noel and Bride Quessy and great-nanny Kearsey of St. John's. Hugs and kisses to Daddy and Grandma for being such great help to Mommy! Also, special thanks to Dr. Pike, Dr. Will and caseroom nurses Ruth and Darlene.

Russell / Seward
Trevor, Joanne (Seward) and big sister Andrea are proud to announce the March 2nd, 1999, arrival of Jonathan James Andrew, weighing in at 9 lbs. 1½ ozs.. Proud grandparents are Margaret Seward and Raymond Russell. Great-grandparents are Mary Finn and William Russell. Watching over Jonathan from heaven is Poppy Andrew Seward.

Scott / Jones
Terry and Krista (Jones) are proud to announce a new baby brother for Justin. Alexander Samuel was born on March 20th, 1999, weighing 8 lbs. 2 ½ ozs. Proud grandparents are Tony and Evelyn Scott and Norman and Hazel Jones. Special thanks to Drs. and Nurses in the caseroom.

Squires / Heffernan
Born to Rick and Colleen (nee Heffernan), a precious little sister for Amanda, Brooke Nora, born March 2, 1999, weighing 9 lbs. 4 ozs.. Fourth grandchild for John and Alice Heffernan of Mount Pearl and sixth grandchild for Richard and Nora Squires of Paradise. Special thanks to Dr. Heidi Kravitz for all her care and special attention and the 2nd and 4th floor nurses. A big thank you to Daddy for being a wonderful coach and Aunt Jeannie for all her help.

Yetman / Hollihan
After 9 long months I've finally arrived! My name is Tyler Edward Francis and I was born on March 7, 1999 at 3:01 am.. Everyone thought I was going to be small, but I surprised them! I weighed 8 lbs. 10½ ozs., and I was 21 ½ inches long. My Mommy, Kelly Hollihan and my Daddy, Eddy Yetman, couldn't be happier. I am the 13th grandchild for Steve and Sadie Hollihan and the 1st for Harry and Mary Yetman, all of Shea Heights. I am the 27th great grandchild for Kathleen and Harold Walsh of Cambridge, Ontario, and the 10th for Annie Larkin of Shea Heights. I would like to thank Drs. Bartellas and Sobowale, nurse Lisa and the nurses on the 2nd and 4th floors at the Grace for their excellent care. Special thanks also to Daddy for coaching, and aunt Noreen for keeping Mommy comfortable and Daddy calm.
