ALBERT - Mike and Julia have been blessed with a precious bundle of boy! Our first child, Gabriel Alexander, was born on March 4, 2006 at 5:52 p.m., weighing 8 lb., 6 oz. Proud first-time grandparents are Bill & Annette Albert and Nick & Debbie Escott. Also welcoming Gabe are Aunties Vanson & Chantal, Uncle Aleson, and Great-grandparents Hilda, Frank, and William. A little brother for Laura and Jared. Proud grandparents Eric and Doris Grandy, Grand Bank, NL; proud Aunt Lisa and Uncle Geoff, Uncle Steve and Aunt Jennifer; and proud Nanny Carolyn Riggs, formerly married to Luke's late poppy Jerry Allsen, Houston, Texas.

ANTLE - Ed and Valerie (Tucker) are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their much loved daughter, Emily Lynne. Emily was born at the Women's Health Centre on March 19, 2006, weighing 9 lbs, 8½ oz. Welcoming Emily are big sister Melissa, Grandparents Alvin and Mildred Tucker and Elsie Antle and special cousins Connor and Claire O'Brien. Special thanks are extended to Drs. Ripley, Lacelle, Carpenter, Roche, the WHC Caseroom staff as well as the staff of 5NB HSC for their excellent care and support.

BURSEY-ARISS - Penney and Dave, Ottawa, are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child, Cailee Taylor Ray, on Monday, March 20, 2006. Proud grandparents are Ray and Geraldine Bursey of Ottawa, and Dave and Helen Ariss of Dryden. Proud great-grandmothers, Theresa Doyle, Gander, and Peggy Bursey, formerly of St. John's, now living in Gander.

CARROLL - It is with exceeding joy that Perry and Jacquelyn (nee Monahan) Carroll announce the birth of their precious son, Jack Michael Calastine Carroll, on March 28, 2006, weighing 6 lbs. 15 ozs at WHC, St. John's. Proud grandparents are Michael and Bernice Carroll, Little Burnt Bay and Emily Monahan, St. John's. Great-grandparents are Bessie Downton, Lewisporte and Robert Bishop, St. John's. CHAFE - Our prayers were answered. The Angels up above sent his Mommy and Daddy Baby Jack to love. Carson and Heather Chafe (O'Keefe) are pleased to announce the safe arrival of Jack Carson; who arrived at The Health Sciences Centre on March 27, 2006 weighing 7 lbs. 6 oz. He was welcomed home with loving arms by his Nan and Pop O'Keefe (Brenda and Jerome) and Nanny and Poppy Chafe (Lucy and Alec), aunts, uncle, cousins and his special dog Morgan. Big thank you to Dr. O'Shea for his excellent care and the nurses in the case room and 5 North B.

CLAYTON - Karen Bennett-Clayton and Mark Clayton, along with big brother Sam, are thrilled to announce the arrival of Jack Bennett Clayton. Jack was born at the IWK Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax on March 21, 2006, weighing in at 8 lbs. 1 oz. Jack is the fourth grandson for Gerry and Evelyn Bennett of St. John's and the third grandson for Vivien Clayton and Mike Clayton of London, England.

COADY - The newest member of the Habs fan club is finally here! Big brother Tyler along with parents Steven & Nicole (Cahill) welcome Jayden Steven born March 19, 2006 at exactly 6:00 p.m. weighing 8 lbs., 5¼ oz at Peter Lougheed Hospital in Calgary. Proud grandparents are Richard & Barbara Coady and Mike & Nina Cahill. Also welcoming Jayden are Aunts Michelle & Yolanda, great-grandparents Nada Murphy and Harold & Rita Cahill and many other friends & relatives. A special thank you to Daddy for all your love and support, we love you!!!

COMEAU – Darren and Charlotte (Penney) are pleased to announce the birth of their fourth child, Devon Darren Melvin Arnold Oscar, born at the HSC on Friday, March 17, 2006, weighing 8 lbs. 12 ozs. A baby brother for Olivia, Olena and Felicia Beth. Proud grandparents are Oscar and Madeline Penney and Arnold and Vera Comeau (N.S.). Great-grandparents are Rosetta Lynch, Oliver Penney, Ruth Comeau (N.S.), and Bill and Lucy Adams (Bishop’s Falls). Special aunt and uncle, Val and Melvin Lynch. Thanks to Dr. J. COOPER - Victor Cole Gerard, after a long awaited arrival, I am finally here. Born March 4, 2006 at 11:50 p.m., dad's burley defenceman weighed in at an even 10 lbs. 10 oz. Proud parents, Brian and Pam Cooper. Grandparents, Charlie and Barbara Fowler, Hazel Cooper and looking down from heaven, Wavel Cooper and Uncle Scott. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Regional Fertility Clinic, Calgary. Additionally, many thanks to Drs. O'Grady, Strand, Majors and Kabisios, caseroom staff, especially Lorna and Heather for taking such good care of mom during a difficult but beautiful day. To our family, friends and co-workers, thanks for your encouragement and support.

DAVIS - Gary and Michelle (Smyth) are delighted to announce the arrival of their first child, Jack Michael. Jack was born on March 7, 2006, at 6:41 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 2 ozs. He is welcomed by proud first time grandparents Frank and Anne Marie Smyth as well as fourth time grandmother Anne Marie Davis (Nanny "D"). Poppy Michael Davis is watching over Jack from heaven. Jack also has the honour of being the first great-grandchild of Mrs. Isabelle O'Brien. DINN - Ren and Carla (nee Derouet) are thrilled to announce the birth of their second child Mitchell James at 3:40 p.m. on March 6, 2006, weighing 8 lbs. 14 ozs. DUFFY - Preston and Annette (Stringer) are proud to announce the arrival of their first child, a precious baby boy, Sean Preston, who was born on March 17th, 2006, at 9:31 a.m., weighing 8 lbs. 3 oz., at the Health Sciences Center. HUDSON - He shoots, he scores! Clem Jr. and Valerie (Cornick) are pleased to announce the arrival of their first baby, Thomas Kenneth Albert. Thomas arrived March 15, 2006 @ 5:41 p.m., weighing 7 lbs., 6 oz - bright eyed and lots of hair! The first grandson for Clem Sr. and Barbara Hudson and first grandchild for Loretta Cornick. Thomas is also the 16th great-grandchild for Albert and Mildred Knight (St. John's), 5th great-grandchild for Gwen Hudson (Pouch Cove) and 1st great-grandchild for Kenneth and Joyce Cornick (Morton's Harbour). KING - Boy oh boy & it's a girl!! Phonse and Deanna (Skinner) of Mount Pearl are thrilled to announce the early arrival of their first child Ellie Charlotte King, born at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, March 9th, 2006, at 1806 weighing in at 9 lbs 1.6 oz. Welcoming Ellie are proud first time grandparents Keith and Marie Skinner of Hr. Grace and Doug and Sharon King of Mount Pearl, as well as first time great-grandparents Fred and Geraldine Miller and first time great-great grandmother Laura Miller. MOORES, Lauren Marie - Greg and Julie Moores of St. John's are pleased to announce the safe arrival of Lauren Marie Moores on March 29, 2006. Lauren's arrival was greeted with great excitement and curiosity by her big sister, Sara, who proudly joins grandparents Douglas and Christine Moores, of Hr. Grace, and Eugene and Regina Seymour, of Baie Verte, in welcoming Lauren into the family. MULCAHY – Paula (Hawkins) and Paul would like to announce the arrival of their precious daughter, Matilda Xia Mei Agnes, born June 13, 2005, in Guangxi Region, China. Matilda arrived in Newfoundland on March 25, 2006. Also welcoming Matilda are grandparents Bride and Phonse Hawkins, Agnes Mulcahy, and great-grandmother Madeline Hawkins (all of Cape Broyle). OLIVER - Greg Oliver and Laura Chapman are delighted to announce the long anticipated arrival of their daughter, Jenna Drew Oliver on March 15, 2006 at 9:38 pm weighing 6 lbs, 12 oz. at the Women's Health Centre in St. John's, NL. Very proud grandparents are Rowie Oliver and Peter Oliver, both of St. John's, NL and Mabel Chapman of Halifax, NS and Paul Chapman of Sydney, NS. Also welcoming Jenna are Uncle Steve Oliver of Halifax, NS and Aunt Dawn and Uncle Mark Schmidt of Ottawa, ON. Cousins Maddison and Nathan Schmidt are overjoyed at the arrival of their new cousin. Jenna timed her arrival for her great grandmother's (Helen Quartermain) 99th birthday. She is named to honour the memory of her special angel, mommy's cousin, Jennifer Quartermain who will guard and protect her from heaven. STAMP/SULLIVAN - Greg and Katie and big sister Lauren are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful baby boy, THOMAS ARTHUR, born Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 1:28 pm. He is proudly named after his two grandfathers - two very special people. Thomas is the 16th grandchild of Ethel and the late Thomas Stamp and the 10th grandchild of Joan and Arthur Sullivan. SWAIN - Rob and Sherri (Dobbin) are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their precious twin girls, Allee Gertrude, weighing 6 lbs. 1 oz. and April Lynn, weighing 4 lbs. 8 oz., born March 30, 2006. Two little sisters for Robert and Cyrah. Proud grandparents are Paul and Madeline Swain and Clifford and Josephine Dobbin. Special thanks to Dr. Kravitz and Dr. Cook and their teams for a safe delivery and to the case room nurses and staff of 5NB, especially Florence for their excellent care. VOISEY/KING - Hi everyone, my name is Douglas Michael and I just wanted to let you all know that I arrived on March 22, 2006 at 3:31 a.m. at the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a very intense race to the checkered flag with my Mommy (April King) and Mother Nature. While my Daddy (Doug Voisey), the crew chief, and Nanny King (Evelyn), assistant crew chief stood by in the pit-box cheering Mommy on. I would like to thank Dr. Bouch and nurse Paula for all the encouragement they gave my Mommy to finish the race in second place with ME coming in FIRST. Thank you to all the nurses in the special care unit for the care they gave me during my stay there before, during and after the race to help Daddy, Mommy and me. Also welcoming me after my victory are Poppy King (Jim), Uncle Jimmy, Aunt Sheryl, Cousin Austin and Uncle Scott. Nanny and Poppy Chislett (Emma and Dave), Aunt Lisa, Uncle Chris and Cousin Emily and Uncle Billy. Watching me from heaven is my Poppy Voisey (Doug) and Great Poppy Vincent (George). Watch out Nascar and especially Dale Earnhardt Jr., I am a fan now but may be a competitior in the future.

WALL/WARD - It's a girl!! Born March 16, 2006 at 3:56 am, Skylar Crystal Wall/Ward, weighing 7 lbs. 15 ozs. is welcomed by her proud parents Kourtney Ward and Jeff Wall, grandparents Bernice and Hubert Wall and Mel & Sis Ward, a large selection of aunts & uncles and family & friends. We love you very much.

WATERMAN - It's a Boy! Sean and Laura (nee O'Keefe) along with big brother Jack (2) are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their second child, a precious son, Daniel Martin Patrick, born March 21, 2006 at 7:16 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 14 ozs. at the HSC WHC. Proud grandparents Maud and the late Jack O'Keefe (Pouch Cove) and John and Mary Waterman (Middle Cove). Also welcomed by a large number of family and friends. Special thanks to doctors, nurses and staff for their excellent care during prenatal, labour, delivery and during our short hospital stay. WHALEN - Emma is a Big Sister! Barry, Renee (Mulley), along with Big Sissy Emma are proud to announce the newest addition to their family, Leah Renee. Leah was born on March 5, 2006, at 11:24 p.m., weighing 8 lbs., 3 ozs. She is blessed to be welcomed by such loving grandparents, David and Anne Mulley and Freddie and Judy Whalen, the best great-grandparents ever, Hubert and Eileen Baldwin, along with the most wonderful Aunt Dawnie and Uncle Craig and Aunt Peggy (all from Pouch Cove) - We would like to thank each of them for their love, help and support over the past few months. WHELAN - Paul and Sarah (nee Baird) are delighted to announce the birth of Peter Andrew on March 10, 2006, weighing 5 lbs. Proud first time grandparents are Colin and Elspeth Baird and Ron and Betty Lou Whelan. Special thanks to Dr. Greene, Dr. Roche, Dr. Strand, Dr. Aziz and to the nursing staff of the NICU for the wonderful care we received.

WHELAN - Big Brother Colin is delighted to announce the awaited arrival of his baby brother, Adrian Garrett, born on March 7, 2006, weighing 7 lbs. 9 ozs. Proud parents are Michael and Patricia (Colbert). Welcomed by proud grandparents Garrett and Hannah Colbert, John and Josephine Whelan; great-grandmother Maggie O'Brien, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Looking down from heaven above, his guardian angel, brother Curtis. Special heartfelt thanks to Dr. Roche, Dr. Alteen, Dr. Crane and staff of the Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit for their top notch prenatal care and all caseroom staff and nurses of 5NB for their excellent care. Sincere thanks to those who helped take care of Colin during Mommy's pregnancy. Many thanks to family and friends for their prayers and support.
