Carter / Myers
Rob and Carol Ann are ecstatic to announce the arrival of their beautiful daughter Jillian Abigail, born on February 13th, 2001 at 11: 57 pm, at the HSC. Proud grandparents are Roy and Heather Myers, and Sarah Carter (late Charles Carter). Special thanks to aunt Judy Myers, who assisted in the birth, you were a great help to us both.

Chislett / Welsh
Tony and Glennis (Welsh) and big brother Stephen are proud to announce the healthy arrival of Michael Glenn, born at the Women's Health Centre on February 2nd, 2001, weighing 9 lbs. 5 ozs. Proud grandparents are Nina and Lorne Welsh and Shirley and Eldred Chislett. Michael is welcomed to the family by special cousins Matthew, Ryan, and Mark. Special thanks to Dr. Kravitz, Dr. Whitty, and nurses Barb, Tracy, and Trudy.

Dinn / Derouet
Rene and Carla (nee Derouet) are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child Brandon Ray at 10:05 am on February 18th, 2001, 8 lbs. 9 ½ ozs. Proud and first time grandparents are Ray and Anne Dinn and Raymond and Lima Derouet. Proud great-grandparents are Patrick and Rose Whalen and Edgar Parsons. Thanks to Dr. Tennant, caseroom staff and nursing staff at 5NB HSC.

Drover / Mauger
Sean Christian, son of Wade and Kerri Drover, St. Philips, was born Tuesday, February 6th, 2001. Sean at 10 lbs. 1 oz., is the "little" brother of Alleigh, Ryan and Maddy. Proud grandparents are Clem and Eileen Drover, Bay Roberts and Eleanor Mauger, Port aux Basques.

Earle / Reid
Bill, Susan and big sister Brittany are thrilled to announce the early, but safe, arrival of a beautiful baby girl, Shawna Marie. Born February 26th, 2001 at 5:34 pm, weighing 5 lbs. 6 ozs. Proud grandparents are Joan and Art Reid, and Mary and Ray Earle, great-grandparents Roy and Mary Howse, and Frances Carter. Thanks to Dr. Kravitz, Margaret Ann and the nursing staff of 5NB HSC. A special thank you to Daddy for helping Mommy get through it all. You were a great coach.

Finlay / Myrick
Gary and Trudy (Myrick) are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their first child, a precious baby girl, Brittany Elizabeth, born on February 25th, 2001 at 3:23 am, weighing 9 lbs. 2 ozs. Proud grandparents are Peter and Theresa Myrick, and Raymond and Ann Finlay of St. Shott's, also great-grandmother Isabelle Molloy. Special thanks to Dr. Kathleen Halley for her personal care and guidance over the past nine months and especially for assisting during delivery, your dedication and commitment will be remembered always. Brittany also sends special hugs and kisses to Daddy and Aunt Karen for all their love and support.

George / Hawley
Brad, Kim and big sister Sarah are overjoyed to announce the arrival of Hannah Rose Hawley George on February 4th, 2001, at 8:06 pm., weighing 8 lbs. 1 oz. Proud grandparents Wilfred and Pearl George and Austin and Barbara Hawley. Aunt Nancy Tulipano and Uncle Kris Hawley are all tickled pink. Thanks to caseroom nurses Barbara, Lorna and Bev, Dr. Pat O'Shea and to our very special friends Susan and Kevin and Karen and Greg for taking such great care of "Yaya".

Goodyear / Blake
A little Caddy for Daddy!!! Melvin and Sheila (nee Blake) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child, a handsome baby boy. Ryan Alex Harry was born on February 18th, 2001 at 11:43 pm., weighing 7 lbs. 6 ozs. Proud grandparents are Joyce Blake of George's Point and Alex and Joan Goodyear of Carmanville. Special thanks to Dr. Angela Rivers and Dr. Tennent, to the caseroom nurses, especially Joan, and to the nursing staff of 5NB.

Green / Miles
Jeff and Terri (Miles) are pleased to announce the birth of their first baby, Alexandra Sara Louisa Green, born February 2nd, 2001, 8 lbs. 8 ¼ ozs. Proud great-grandparents, Fred and Sara (Green) Stockley, Edith MacDonald, Jeanne Miles. Proud grandparents James and Muriel Green and Reid and Sandy Miles. Special thanks to the nurses and staff in the caseroom and 5NB.

Grenning / Knight
Connor Dawe
has arrived! Making his grand entrance into the world, on February 18th, 2001, a little later than expected. Our incredible gorgeous, healthy little man was indeed worth the wait. Connor's proud parents, Natasha and Keith, instantly fell in love with their 9 lb. 7 oz treasure. Abigail now has a new friend. Her bright mind is already working overtime on what she can teach him. The proud first time grandparents are Debbie and John Grenning and second time grandparents Bernadine and Lewis Knight. A special thanks to the staff at the HSC caseroom, as well as the "Cheer Leading Team" in the waiting area. A special thanks to Daddy for his coaching, love and support.

Halley / Martin
Big sister Catherine Lynn would like to announce to everyone-Emily Claire was born February 4th, 2001 at 0345 at the Women's Health Centre. She weighed 8 lbs. 4 ½ ozs. Proud parents are David and Valerie (Martin). Proud grandparents are Beryl and Wilson Martin and Denis and Frances Halley. Twelfth great-grandchild of Bertha Hewitt. Special thanks to Drs. Roche, Suja and Power. All caseroom nurses, especially Karen, Judy and Lorna. Thanks to the nurses of OBS. Mommy and Emily give lots of love to Daddy for being such a super coach again. Special welcome home from Wilson.

Hickey / Kieley
Cupid made a special delivery! Todd and Michelle (nee Kieley) are delighted to announce the birth of Liam's little sister, Megan Rebecca, weighing in at 8 lbs. 13 ozs. Megan was born at 8:32 am on Wednesday, February 14th, 2001 at the Health Sciences Center. Proud grandparents are Regina Hickey and the late Francis Hickey, Jennie Flaherty, as well as, Joan Murray and the late Jerome Kieley. Special thanks to Sherry and Colleen for all their help, as well as, Dr. Pike and the caseroom staff, especially Lorna for their excellent care.

Hickey / Newman
Ron and Wanda (Newman) are proud to announce the birth of Kathleen's little brother, Sean Patrick, at 1:49 pm., February 6th, 2001, weighing 8 lbs. 2 ozs. Proud grandparents are Ray and Shirley Newman and Ann Hickey. Special thanks to Drs. R. Woodland and H. Kravitz for their excellent prenatal care and to Dr. P. Roche and nurse Linda Jennings for bringing our little angel safely into the world.

Larcombe / Chafe
Jason and Leslie (Chafe) are pleased to announce the birth of their daughter Aliya Dakota, at 7 lbs. 11 ozs., on February 1st, 2001 at 4:27 pm. Proud grandparents Patrick and Patricia Chafe, Janet Larcombe, Stuart Wyatt, Bob and Jean Callahan; aunts Janet, Lisa and Jenny; uncles Chris, Steve and Ken; great-grandparents Al and Margaret Glynn, Joan Larcombe, Gene Larcombe, Patrick and Clarice Callahan, great-great-grandparents Art and Eleanor Larcombe and many great aunts and uncles. Lawlor / Snook
Barry and Lisa are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their second daughter. Darcy Erin was born Feb. 9, 2001, weighing 6 lbs. 13 ozs. Proud grandparents, Bonnie and Garfield Snook and Mary Lawlor (Gus, deceaded). Mommy, Daddy and Shannon would espeially like to thank Dr. Heidi Kravitz and the nurses at the Health Sciences Center for making it such a memorable experience.

MacIntosh / Walsh
Blair and Anne Marie (nee Walsh) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their second son, Ian Daniel, weighing 7 lbs. 9 ozs., born on February 26th, 2001 at 1:16 pm. Big brother Andrew, 3 ½ years old, is very excited to have a new baby brother. Proud grandparents for the 10th time Joan Mary Walsh and Edward Walsh, along with second time grandparents, RCMP Inspector John and Betty MacIntosh in Surrey, BC. A special thanks to both Daddy and Nanny Walsh for being such great coaches during labour. Also, a big thank you to Dr. Cherry Pike, Dr. Heidi Kravitz and the great staff at the Women's Health Centre, 3rd and 5th floors.

Matthews / Tassie
Ed and Andrea (Tassie) are thrilled to announce the birth of their precious baby girl, Leigha Irene. Born February 28th, 2001, weighing 8 lbs 11 ozs. A little sister for pets Joey and Casey. Proud grandparents are Ed and Minnie Matthews, Heart's Content, and Len and Norma Soper, Hant's Harbour. A long awaited niece for Aunts Donna and Danielle, Uncles Doug and Brian, and cousin for Michael. Special thanks to Dr. Strand, Dr. Bartellas and caseroom nurses Judy, Barb and Karen. Thank you to Dr. Penton and Dr. Pike for their exceptional prenatal care.

Noseworthy / Murray
Scott and Marylynn (nee Murray) are very proud to announce the safe arrival of their first child, Cody Scott, on February 1st, 2001, at 5:21 pm., weighing 8 lbs. 2 ozs. The delivery took place at the Ottawa General Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario. Proud grandparents Alec and Betty Murray, Torbay and Rol and Donna Noseworthy, Pouch Cove. Special thanks to Dr. Batten and staff for their excellent care and support.

Parsons / Hillier
Scott, Karen (Hillier) and big sister Olivia are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ian Wilfred Harvey on February 25th, 2001, weighing 9 lbs. 9 ¼ ozs, at the HSC. Proud grandparents are Clyde and Virginia Hillier, Harvey and Jean Parsons. Great-grandparents are Gertrude Hillier and George Hayes. Special thanks to Drs. Tennent, Pike and Kwa, NICU nurses and 5NB nursing staff.

Reid / Dawe
Pierce Francis Reid
. Born on February 14th, 2001. St. Valentine himself had to be involved in such a strikingly handsome creation! Daddy (Peter) still wonders how the 9 lbs. 12 ½ oz bouncing baby boy fit inside Mommy's (Lesley's) tummy. Big brother Turner is ecstatic about the addition, however cannot understand why Pierce doesn't play back. Granddad and Nana (Frank and Judy) Dawe, Auntie Erin, Poppy and Nanny (Doug and Eileen) Reid, and Uncle Dave are creatively determining new ways of pampering their new bundle of joy.

Sheppard / Rowsell
So precious and new, Mommy and Daddy have been anxiously waiting for you. On February 16th, 2001, we, Rodney and Cora Sheppard were blessed with the gift of a beautiful daughter. Born at the HSC, weighing 6 lbs. 14 ¾ ozs. Faith Mackenzie Sheppard has already stolen our hearts. Ecstatic grandparents are Fred and Martha Sheppard and Eli and Mavis Rowsell, both of Lewisporte. The new parents would like to thank the many family and friends who showered baby Faith with gifts, love and support. As well, many hugs and kisses from Mommy and Faith to the greatest Dad in the world.

Smith / Mills
Ken and Heather, along with big brother Owen, joyfully announce the birth of Murray Alexander Smith on February 2nd, 2001 at IWK Grace Maternity, Halifax, weighing 7.7 lbs. Grandparents are Hannah and the late Murray Smith, St. John's, Newfoundland and Virginia (Geegee) and the late Rev. Howie Mills, Toronto, Ontario.

Wadman / Scanlan
Rob, Michelle and big sister Hannah are absolutely thrilled to announce the early, but safe, arrival of their beautiful baby boy, John Robert Barry, born February 2nd, 2001, weighing 6 lbs. 5 ¾ ozs. Thank you to Dr. Robert Miller, midwife Robyn Beaudry, Aunt Rhonda and Daddy for your wonderful support to Mommy. Also thank you to HSC staff and to our family and friends for their gifts and good wishes. Thank you God for our precious John.

Walsh / Legrow
Rod and Sherry (Legrow) are proud to announce the arrival of their daughter, Jessica Evelyn. Born February 19th, 2001, 9:25 pm., weighing 8 lbs. 8.5 ozs. Proud grandparents Ron and Sarah Legrow, Kilbride and Genevieve and the late Kevin Walsh, Calvert. Special thanks to Dr. Heather Flynn and the caseroom staff at the Health Sciences Centre.

Walsh / Power
Dale and Peggy (nee Power) are thrilled to announce the birth of their 1st child, a healthy daughter, Regan Mary. Born February 26th, 2001 at 11:59 am at the Health Science Center, weighing in at 9 lbs. 11 ozs. Proud grandparents for the eighth time are Leo and Mary Walsh of Marystown and for the second time Thomas and May Power, also of Marystown. Special thanks to Drs. Tennent and Kravitz and all the NICU and caseroom staff.
