Noreen Bader
of Saskatoon passed away peacefully at St. Paul's Hospital. Noreen is survived by her only child, Gerry (Pat) of Saskatoon; three grandchildren, Karen of Calgary, AB, Michael of Calgary, AB, and Mark (Christa) of Quispamsis, NB; three great grandchildren, Nicole Brock of Calgary, AB, Shawn Brock of Saskatoon, and Seth Carpenter-Bader of Quispamsis, NB. Noreen is also survived by her brother, Owen Brisbois of Coquitlam BC; sister-in-law, Margaret; brother-in-law, Eugene (Alice), all of Saskatoon; brother-in-law, Bill Tucker of Portugal Cove NF; brother-in-law, Cliff Moore of Burnaby BC, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Noreen was predeceased by the 68-year love of her life husband, Phillip; father, Arthur; mother, Vida (Clayton) and sister, Denise Moore.

Born at Harris SK, Noreen married Phil in 1939 moving to Phil's family's homestead in Makwa, SK where they farmed until 1945 and then moved to Saskatoon. Noreen worked for Eatons until she and Phil started their own business (Quick Cleaners) in Regina in 1958. Noreen and Phil sold their business and retired in 1983 moving back to Saskatoon to be closer to family. Noreen was very skilled at petit point, an avid reader, and loved flea markets and garage sales. She spent a fair amount of time selling jewelry and other lapidary craft made by her husband at these markets, as well as in the front end of their dry cleaning business. Also as a result of her hours spent at the flea market, her collection of porcelain head vases was extensive.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Ann's and the nurses and staff of 5th Floor Medicine at St. Paul's Hospital. Your dedication and care are sincerely appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, Nov 24, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of St. Ann's Senior Citizens Village, 2910 Louise Street, Saskatoon, SK. Rite of committal of ashes will take place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Saskatoon SK. FORRESTER, June Lillian [with photo]

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother June Lillian Forrester on Tuesday, October 13, 2009. June rejoins her husband, George Forrester, who passed in 1998. She is lovingly remembered by her eight children, daughters, Janice (Larry), and Nancy (Stan); sons, Colin (Ann), Stewart (Candace), Richard (Heather), Cam (Tammy), Scott (Tanny), and Andrew (Brenda); and granddaughter, Christine who lived with Grandma June through her teens; 16 other grandchildren and two great grandchildren; as well as her brother, John Palmer and sister-in-law, Lillias (Jim) Gracie, also remember mom with enduring love.

June was born in Skaneateles, NY in 1922. She moved with her parents to Corner Brook, Nfld. at the age of 6. She attended Mt. Allison University in New Brunswick achieving a home economics degree in 1942. While a student there, she met George who was serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force. They were married in Crossett, Arkansas after the war and settled in Saskatoon, George's home. June loved art and was an extremely talented handcrafter. We all have benefitted from her beautifully crafted gifts. June was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed the many long-term friendships she made there. She was a private, gentle, kind woman. She will truly be missed.

Funeral service will be on Monday, October 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home (338-4th Avenue North). A reception will follow at the W.A. Edwards Family Center, across from the Saskatoon Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Sask. Kaufhold, Edmund (Ed) [with photo]

Born October 5th, 1952, age 56 years, passed away quietly and peacefully on Monday, March 30th, 2009 at the L.A. Miller Centre, St. Johns, Newfoundland. He fought a courageous 2 year battle with cancer, never uttering a negative or sorrowful word. He will be forever missed by his sister Rosemarie (Arnold) Kreutzwieser of Maple Ridge, B.C.; brothers, Willie (Diane)of Martensville, SK; and Walter (Patricia) Kaufhold of New Westminster, B.C.; and his half-sister Vera (Alfred) Hirsch of Germany; as well as nieces and nephews, Amanda and Adam Kreutzwieser, Bobbi (Chris) Greedus, Calli Heinbigner, Jodi (Trevor) Jenson, Matthew and Lucas Kaufhold and many extended family members and friends. He will also be missed by his faithful and loyal friend and companion of 4 years, Kyle, his Newfoundland dog. Ed was predeceased by his mother, Gertrud Kaufhold in 1971, and his father Benedikt Kaufhold in 2000 and his half-brother, Otto Buchner.

Ed was born and grew up in Saskatoon, SK. He came to Newfoundland on October 31, 1989 to start a career with the Provincial Government as a Municipal Planner. In July 1991 he was successful in obtaining an Environmental Biologist position with the Department of Environment & Conservation and was recently promoted to Senior Environmental Scientist position, where he was currently employed. Ed was an active member for over 18 years with the Atlantic Planners Institute (API) Newfoundland and Labrador Branch. He served as President for 3 years, Treasurer for 5 years and Membership Coordinator for 10 years. As a result of his dedication and commitment to the Institute, in 2009, Ed was awarded the Newfoundland and Labrador Branch Award of Excellence, and has also earned the Atlantic Planners Institute Award of Planning Excellence. As a supporter of the New Democratic Party, Ed served as an activist for many years holding several Executive Officer positions in his Provincial District and Federal Riding. Ed enjoyed bowling and was a member of the NAPE Bowling League for 15 years and served as Treasurer for the League. Ed was also an active Union brother and served in several positions with his local of the Newfoundland & Labrador Association of Public & Private Employees (NAPE). Ed served with the local as Board Member, Treasurer and Chief Shop Steward. Ed was a dedicated and well respected member of the Association, his dedication and work was greatly appreciated and will be sorely missed by all.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of the caring staff at the L.A. Miller Palliative Care Centre. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Thursday from 2 p.m. 4 p.m. and 7p.m. 9p.m., on Friday from 10a.m. 12 noon. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd, 2009, from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Ed Linegar
, of Langham, SK, passed away February 24th, 2009 at Saskatoon Convalescent Home at the age of 61, following a courageous battle with cancer. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pat; daughter, Emily and daughter, Shawn Pearce (Mike); granddaughter, Sara; brothers, Kevin (Joanne) and Bill; sisters, Carol Laplante, Ida Beauvais and Brenda Hansen; as well as many dear friends and relatives. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Brendan and Tess; and his brother-in-law, Ray Laplante. Ed was born and raised in Newfoundland until his teen years, when his family moved to Ontario where Ed worked as a machinist for many years. Later he moved to Saskatoon where he met and married Pat in 1996. Ed worked at Saskatchewan Abilities Council in Saskatoon for 13 years in the Wood Products department. He was a hard worker known for his quick sense of humor and caring nature. He will be dearly missed by friends and family alike. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saskatoon Cancer Centre (20 Campus Drive, Saskatoon, SK S7N 4H4). The family would like to thank the staff at Saskatoon Convalescent Home for their compassionate care. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at the Affinity Community Hall in Langham on Friday, March 6th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Father Patrick Ampani as celebrant. Penny and Joe Mink announce the engagement of their daughter Chelsea Tobyn to Dennis Bertram son of Alice and Dennis Keeping of Codroy Valley, Newfoundland. The marriage of love and respect will take place in Calgary on October 17th, 2009.
