September 25, 2006, Eli Philip Ayres of Fortune, age 70 years. Predeceased
by wife Elsie Irene, son Cecil, brothers Harry and Howard, and mother, father
and step-mother. Leaving to mourn best friend and partner Mary MacDonald
at Fortune, 2 daughters Ella at Marystown, and Sharon at St. John's; 6 sons
Willis (Cecilia) at North Sydney, Barry (Lillian) at Fortune, Robert (Lora)
at Fortune, Gary at Fortune, Jody (Marsha) at Grand Bank, and Travis at Alberta:
18 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; brothers Lionel (Mary) at Dartmouth,
Nova Scotia, and Cecil (Doris) at Alberta; sister-in-law Edna Ayres at Fortune;
also, a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was
conducted by Rev. Locke Fiander from All Saint's Anglican Church, Fortune
at 2 pm on Thursday, September 28th. Interment followed at All
Saint's Anglican Cemetery, Fortune. Organist was Henrietta Pope. Pall Bearers
were: Bob Ayres, Willis Ayres Travis Ayres, Jody Ayres, Derrick Ayres, and
Glen Hodge. Funeral arrangements were entrusted tot he care of Warren's Funeral

Centre on Saturday, September 2, 2006 in the presence
of her loving family
Jessie Suzzanna Bonnell age 62 years of Fortune. Predeceased
by her infant daughter Queena, her parents George W. Hillier, Josephine,
step-father John Baker, brother Thomas, her mother and father-in-law Harold
and Mary Bonnell. She leaves to mourn with many wonderful memories her
loving husband of forty-four years Edgar, and her four devoted sons Gary
(Maxine), Howard, Ross (Tricia), and Michael (Renee); her six precious
grandchildren Stephen and Cullen, Kayla and Kristie, Thomas and Julia;
her sisters Annie (Jack) at St. Lawrence, Theresa (Norman) at St. John's,
Georgina (Ivan) at Bloomfield; brother Harvey (Emma) at Fortune; sisters-in-law
Queena (Mel) at Nova Scotia, Alice (Harold) at Paradise, Vera (Rollie)
at Nova Scotia, Mary (Ron) at Paradise; brothers-in-law Cyril (Adelia)
at Fortune, Max (Iris) at St. John's, Wilfred (Sandra) at Goulds, Norm
(Deloris) at Toronto, Roy (Lorraine) at Foxtrap, Morgan (Thelma) at Manitoba.

Church, Fortune on Tuesday, September 5th at 2 pm. Interment
followed at All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Fortune. Organist was Henrietta

the funeral service at Grace United Church and Cemetery, Coley's Point

Centre September 10, 2006, Ivy Cheeseman of Port au Bras
in her 86th year. Predeceased by her husband Ernest. Leaving

Passed away at the U.S. Memorial Chronic Care Centre September
6, 2006, Alice J. Edwards at the age of 85. Predeceased by her
husband Francis, two sons and one grandchild. Leaving to mourn with fond
and loving memories her children Margaret, Robert (Joan), Carroll (Adele),
Edgar (Mabel), Rose, Kieran (Jennifer), Frank (Theresa), Melita (Eric),
Alice (Cyril), Marilyn (Ray), Judy, Brady, Michelle, Juan (Mary Ellen)
and Patrick; brother Robert Kearney; 57 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
Father Regis conducted Mass of Christian Burial Friday, September 8th.
