Passed away suddenly at U.S. Memorial Health Centre, St. Lawrence, on Sept 15, 2004, Bertha Helen Almon, of St. Lawrence in her 55th. year. Leaving to mourn daughter Stephanie (husband Leo Drake) of Happy Valley-Goose Bay; great-aunts: Georgina Rose at St. Lawrence, Ethel Butler at St. John's, Vera Abbott at Surrey, BC, Winnie Foote at Deer Lake; great-uncle Ren Hillier at Mass., USA, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Berdina Ford at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in St. Lawrence on Sept 18th at 5:00 p.m. Interment was at Anglican Cemetery in St. Lawrence. Pallbearers were Kevin Pittman, Dawn Brushett, Barry Slaney, Ray Etchegary, Betty Kelly, Phonse Barry. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Geoff Lomond of Peninsula Funeral Home Ltd., Creston South.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on August 31, 2004 Fred Appleby of Burin in his 78th year. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on September 15, 2004, Netta Augustus of Burin in her 72nd year. Predeceased by parents John and Violet, and sister Jessie Shave. Passed peacefully away Sept 20, 2004 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Sarah E. Barnes of Fortune. She was 90 years old. PARDY, Randell Thomas
It is with great sadness the family of the late Randell Thomas Pardy, age 79, from Harbour Mille, announce his passing at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on August 29, 2004. Predeceased by his wife, Abigail. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his only child, Ivy (Charlie Price); foster child, Russell; grandchildren, Raymond (Loretta), Nina (Randy Hussey), Sophie (Archie MacDonald), Olga (Dan Myles); 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mabel (Cecil Freeborne), Dulcie Banfield, Sheila (Freeman Howse), Ruby Pike (friend Jerry), and many other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Mary's Church, Harbour Mille from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. C. Harris, took place on September 1, 2004 with interment following. Predeceased by husband Bertram Pierce, parents Hubert and Maria Grandy, and sister Berdena.
