Adams of
Burin. Bay formerly of Tack's Beach in his 82nd year. Predeceased
by parents William and Frances, sisters, Rose Warren and Hattie Brown; brothers
Charlie Adams & John Adams. Leaving to mourn with fond arid loving memories
wife Addie; sons Stanley (Cornelia) of Burin Bay, Hayward (Pearl) of Burin
Bay, Arch of Burin Bay, Clarence (Cathy) of Burin Bay; daughters Juanita
of Burin Bay, Hazel (Eldon Bemister) of Musgrave Harbour; 9 grandchildren and
9 great-grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth, Warren and Matilda Warren both of
Arnold's Cove, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral
service was officiated, by Rev. Berdina Ford from Holy Trinity Church, Ship
Cove with interment following at Anglican Cemetery, Hodder's Point. Pallbearers

Passed peacefully away at the Grand Bank Health Care
Centre on Sunday, October 16, 2005, Shirley M. Banfield of
Grand Bank, age 45 years. Predeceased by father James Banfield and sisters
Doreen and Susan. Leaving to mourn: mother Myrtle at Grand Bank; sisters Elizabeth
and Phil at Grand Bank, and Denise Winsor (Trent) at Grand Bank; niece Taylor,
and nephews Robert, Terry and Cody. Also a large circle of other relatives
and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Michael Li from St. Alban's
Anglican Church, Grand Bank on Wednesday, October 19th at 2 p.m.
Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was
Velma Stewart, soloist was Kerri Harvey and reader was Karen Skinner. Pallbearers
were: Larry Osmond, Stanley Osmond, Leonard Loder, Fred Murphy, Ethel Martin,
and Karen Skinner. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's

BARNES, Stanley
Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Home in St. John's, Stanley
Barnes of Harbour Mille. He was 77 years old. Predeceased by son Derek
in 2004. Left to mourn are his loving wife Blanche, sons Ivan and Paul, daughter
Maine (Brian Miller); grandchildren Jamie, Joshua, Devon, Sabrina, Faith and
Matthew and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Reverend Jim Beaton
conducted funeral services at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Harbour Mille Saturday,
September 24 with interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Mille. Funeral
arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Home, Marystown.
Pallbearers were members of the Orangemen Lodge.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late
Mary Veatrice Blagdon announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term
Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Thursday, October 6, 2005 at
the age of 77 years. She will be sadly missed by three sons: William (Rose)
of Kentville, Nova Scotia; Phillip and Chesley, both of Halifax, Nova Scotia;
and, two daughters: Marion Hynes of St. Andrew's, NL; Peggy (Chesley) Price
of Fortune, NL; and, two sisters: Rose (Donald) Spracklin of Charlottetown,
NL; Lucy Pike of St. Lawrence, NL; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren
and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband,
Stanley; brother, Harold; sisters: Jean, Grace, Bessie, Millie. Cremation took
place at Russell's Crematorium, Stephenville. Funeral Service took place on
Monday, October 10th at the Salvation Army Church in Fortune with interment in
the Salvation Army Cemetery in Fortune.

Grand Bank on Saturday, October 15, 2005, Leo Clarke of Grand
Bank, age 82 years. Predeceased by parents William and Jennie Clarke; sister
Mary Helen Mitchell; brothers Celestine, William Jr. and Felix. Leaving to
mourn: wife Gretta; sons George (Marion) at Brandon, Manitoba, Celestine (Dorothy)
at Mount Pearl; daughters Betty Legge (Frazer) at Fort McMurray, Alb., Nora
Mossop (John) at Carmel, Indiana, Joyce Chafe (Lance) at Petty Harbour, and
Marjorie Strowbridge (Allan) at Garnish. Special grandson Barry Clarke (Marjorie)
who took care of him, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and nephew Michael
Clarke at English Hr. East. Also, a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman at the Salvation
Army, Grand Bank on Tuesday, October 18th at 2 p.m. Interment followed
at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by David Noseworthy
! and Herbert Dunford. Soloist was grand-daughter captain Sherry Williams.
Pallbearers were: Barry Clarke, Celestine Clarke, Danny Clarke, Lance Chafe,
