August 14, 1931 - November 13, 2005

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on November 13, 2005, James Caul of Burin Bay in his 74th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Anne Marie; sons Stephen (Eleanor) of Burin, Patrick of Alberta, Phillip (Christa) of Alberta and John (Gail) of Ontario; daughter Pauline (Wallace White) of Marystown; grandchildren Andrew and Katie plus a large circle of other family and friends. Father Charlie Kelly officiated funeral Mass on November 16th from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Cove. Pallbearer's were sons John, Patrick and Stephen Caul and grandson Andrew Caul and Jerry Smith and Herman Lockyer. Crossbearer was Leo Caul. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "WE CARE."

CHEESEMAN, Bernadette
Passed suddenly away at St. John's Wednesday, November 2, 2005, Bernadette Cheeseman of Rushoon in her 56th year. Predeceased by mother Marie. left to mourn her loving husband Fred, daughter Shelly (Chesley Hynes) of St. John's and father Peter Reddy. Also leaving to mourn sister Gertie Reddy (Stephen Ryan) of Cape Broyle, nephew Peter Ryan and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Jeff Kolonel conducted funeral Mass at Christ the King Roman Catholic church, Rushoon Sunday, November 6th with interment at the Christ the King Cemetery, Rushoon. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Pallbearers were Jim Cheeseman, Joe Cheeseman, Aiden Cheeseman, Howard Cheeseman, Warren Cadigan and Nick Aylward. Cross bearer was Rob Brikshire.

FAREWELL, Thomas
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre November 1, 2005, Thomas Farewell of Black Duck Cove, Burin. He was 66 years old. Predeceased by parents Sam and Vera. Left to mourn are sons Tom of Calgary, Alberta, Jim (Bernadette) of Jean De Baie, Brian (Agnes) of Marystown and Darrell of Marystown; daughter Amy Cross of New Brunswick. Also leaving to mourn six sisters, three brothers and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic church, Marystown, Friday, November 4th with interment at the Calvary united Cemetery, Creston South. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Tommy Farewell, Jim Farewell, Brian Farewell, Darrell Farewell, Harvey Farewell and Jim Farewell Jr. Dross bearer was Agnes Hepditch.

FARRELL, Selina
Passed peacefully at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, November 20, 2005, Selina Farrell of Little Bay in her 70th year. Predeceased by sisters Lillian, Carrie and Martha; brothers Corneilius, Cosmos and Celestine. Left to mourn are her loving husband Aloysius, son Aloysius (wife Goldie) of Grand Prairie and Jim (wife Tammy) of Little Bay; daughters Pat (husband Derm Farrell) of Little Bay, Lynette (husband Darren Baker) of Carbonear and Karen (husband Paul Bonnell) of Creston South; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown, Wednesday, November 23rd with interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Little Bay. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Home, Marystown. Pallbearers were Aloysius Farrell Jr., James Farrell, Derm Farrell, Calvin Pittman, Paul Bonnell and Rick Farrell. Cross bearer was Stephen Farrell.

FITZPATRICK, Mary
Passed suddenly away at the U.S. Memorial Hospital November 16, 2005, Mary Fitzpatrick of St. Lawrence in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Victor. Left to mourn are son Kevin of Mount Pearl; brother Frank Warren (wife Sheila) of St. John's; granddaughters Kristen (Mount Pearl) and Andrea at PEI and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Frank Puddister conducted funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic church, St. Lawrence Friday, November 18th with interment at the Mount Cecilia Cemetery, St. Lawrence. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Pallbearers were Mike Slaney, Joe Quirke, Peter Loder,Jerome Slaney, Jerome Spearns and Pad Slaney. Cross bearer was Cyril Slaney.

Passed suddenly away at Health Science Centre, St. John's, Wednesday, November 2, 2005, Sam Hackett of Rencontre East in his 58th year. Predeceased by wife Patsy. Left to mourn are sons Tom (wife Roseanne) of Winterland, Ken (wife Sharon) of Ponoka, Alberta and Peter (wife Sherry) of Clarenville. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Mary Wells of Rencontre East, brothers Hughie of Nova Scotia and Frank of English Harbour East, seven grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Brophy conducted funeral service Roman Catholic Church, Rencontre East Sunday, November 6th with interment at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rencontre East. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Pallbearers were Tom Hackett, ken Hackett, Peter Hackett, Hughie Clarke, John Caines and Peter Giovannini. Cross bearer was Dwight Mullins.

Passed peacefully away at her residence in Salt Pond on November 16, 2005, Daphne Hiscock in her 60th year. Predeceased by brother William Hartson. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Arch; mother Mary Hartson; son Archie (Fern) of Lewin's Cove, Carl (Dena) of Brook's, AB, Allan (Juanita) of Lewin's Cove, Craig (April) of Brook's, AB and Cory (Denise) of High Level, AB; daughter Lori-Ann (Dwayne Chislett) of Salt Pond; 8 grandchildren; brother James Hartson (Mary) of Salt Pond plus a large circle of other family and friends. Father Charlie Kelly officiated funeral Mass on November 18th from St. Patrick's RC Church, Burin with interment following at RC Cemetery, Salt pond. HUNT, Robert
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, on Tuesday, November 15, 2005, Robert Hunt of Grand Bank, age 77 years. Predeceased by parents Job and Jane Hunt, sisters Alice Joyce and Tamar, and grandson Troy Snook. Leaving to mourn wife Violet; daughters Joyce Grandy (Philip) at Grand Bank, Judy Hunt and Chris at Upper Rawdon, Nova Scotia, Gloria Snook (George) at Grand Bank, and Flora Welsh (George) at Grand Bank; sons Harvey (Doreen) at Mount Pearl, and Wilbert (Melinda) at Brooks, Alberta. 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, also niece Emma Feltham at Centreville, Bonavista Bay. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Michael li at Saint Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank on Friday, November 18th at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Saint Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Karen Li. Pallbearers were: grandchildren: Stephen Hunt, Jason Hunt, Christopher Snook, Shawn Snook, Michael Welsh, Robert Welsh, Glen Mercer and Natalie Grandy. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank. "Where Dedicated People Care."

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre November 18, 2005, Kyran Hynes of St. Bernard's in his 84th year. Predeceased by parents John and Elizabeth, sisters Dale and Margaret. Left to mourn are his loving wife Elizabeth: daughters Dorothy (husband Jack Hynes), Georgina (husband John Myles), Solange (husband Jack Power), Elizabeth (husband Clyde Mitchell) all of St. Bernard's and Vera (husband Wayne Cox) of Terrenceville. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Genevieve Hackett and Mary Myles; brother Raymond Hynes and special nephew Patrick Hynes, nice grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Jeff Kolonel conducted funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, St. Bernard's. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Home November 18, 2005, Grace Loveless of Grand Bank formerly of Seal Cove in her 92nd year. Predeceased by husband John. Left to mourn are sons Walter (wife Winnie) of Seal Cove, Edmund (wife Audrey) of St. John's, George (wife Shirley) and Gerald (wife Betty), both of Bay d'Espoir; daughters Bessie (husband Josiah Langdon), Gladys (husband Tom Grandy) and Alma (husband Carl Matthews) all of Grand Bank, Marion (husband Norman Loveless) of Seal Cove, Emily (husband Wilfred Best) and Cassie (husband Bruce Williams) both of Arnold's Cove. Also leaving to mourn are sisters Elizabeth, Marion and Harriet; brother George Matchem and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Sergeant Major conducted funeral services at Salvation Army Citadel, Seal Cove Monday, November 21 with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Seal Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Fortune.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Saturday, November 19, 2005, Esther May of Grand Bank, age 76 years. Predeceased by mother and father Madeline and James Caines; sisters Rita Keeping and Alice Caines and great-grandson Matthew Fradsham. Leaving to mourn husband James; daughters Sharon at Burin, Beverley Harris and Paul at Mount Pearl, Judy Hillier (Clyde) at Fortune, Audrey McCarthy (Brendan) at St. John's; sons Rick at St. John's and Ron and Lori at St. John's. Seven grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister Laura Strowbridge at Garnish and brother Roland Caines (Hazel) at Grand Bank. Special friends Ruth Scott and Phyllis Howse, both of Grand Bank. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Michael Li from saint Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank on Monday, November 21st at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Saint Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Karen Li. Pallbearers were: Rick May, Ron May, Paul Harris, Richard Taylor, Clyde Hillier and Brendan McCarthy. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank. Passed peacefully away at his home in Marystown, Friday, November 18, 2005, Bill A. Pittman in his 80th year. Predeceased by his son Wayne in 1980. Left to mourn are his loving wife Addie; daughter Della (husband Keith Allen) of Ottawa, Ontario; grandchildren Kyla (husband Steve), Derek (wife Lisa) of Ottawa and Scott (wife Bea) of Truro; great-grandchildren Isaac, Maggie, Emma, Ryan, Sarah and Adam. Also leaving to mourn are sister Sadie Drake; brothers Richard Pittman of Labrador and Robert Pittman of USA and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Also leaving to mourn are sister Stella (Mike Leon) of Toronto; brothers Joe Kirby and Jim Kirby (Sheila), both of Toronto, Mike Kirby (Sheila) of Gomley, Ontario and Gerard Kirby (Jessie) of Marystown; brother-in-law Phone Collins of Winterland, 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
