Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Sunday, May 13, 2007, Mary Anne Bolt of Grand le Pierre in her 85th year. Predeceased by husband John Thomas. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Andrew (Jessie) and Mark (Veronica), both of Grand le Pierre and David (Ann) of Terrenceville; daughters Dinah (Charles Hickey), Harriet Evans and Whilomena (Gilbert) Evans, all of Grand le Pierre; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place from St. Thomas Anglican Church in Grand le Pierre Wednesday, May 16. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Grand le Pierre. BROCKERVILLE, Brandon Alonzo
Passed suddenly away at Lawn Wednesday, May 9 2007, Brandon Alonzo Brockerville of Lawn, formerly of Marystown in his 14th year. Predeceased by his brother Wesley, grandparents Emmanuel and Beatrice Brockerville and his uncle Alonzo Brockerville. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories mom Nicole and dad Guy, brothers Brett and Wesley, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Mass took place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown, Monday, May 14 at 10:30 a.m. Interment followed at Holy Name of Jesus roman Catholic Cemetery in Lawn. In his memory donations may be made to The Brockerville Family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes.

CLARKE, Mary Frances (Fannie)
Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre Friday, May 4,2007, Mary Frances (Fannie) Clarke of English Harbour East in her 87th year. Predeceased by husband Celestine and granddaughter Maureen Frances. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Peter (Ruby) of English Harbour East and Carl (Carol) of Cold Brook, Nova Scotia; daughter Jessie (Roy) of English Harbour East; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral mass took place from St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church in English Harbour East Tuesday, May 8, at 11 a.m. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in English Harbour East. DIMMER, Mary Elizabeth
(June 5, 1920 - May 23, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Mary Elizabeth Dimmer of Burin Bay Arm in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: sons Kenneth and wife Irene of St. John's and Henry and wife Theresa of Dartmouth, N.S.; daughters Genevieve and friend Lloyd Mayo of Burin Bay Arm, Joan and husband Gordon Doody of Burin Bay Arm and Bernice and husband Randy Cooper of Corner Brook; daughter-in-law Patricia Dimmer of Burin Bay Arm; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Bernice and husband Albert Dimmer of Florida and Genevieve and husband Rickie Riquelmy of Virginia; brothers Joe Walsh of Jerseyside, Vince Walsh and wife Ann of Dunville and Anthony Walsh of Marystown; special friends Emily Brown of Salt Pond and Sheila Pardy of Alberta; plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband Henry, son Hugo, son-in-law Philip Murphy, parents Anthony and Mary Ellen Walsh and brothers Ignatius and Lawrence Walsh. Father Theodore O'Connor officiated funeral mass on May 26, 2007 from St. Patrick's Parish Church,Burin with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Cove. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Samuel (Sue) of St. Lawrence, Eric (Pam) of St. Lawrence and Adrian (Patricia) of St. John, NB; daughters Dorothy (Ronald) Aylward of Marystown and Joyce (Guy) Edwards of Marystown; sisters Ellen Wagner, Lydia (David) Drake and Winnifred Tarrant; brothers Norman (Edith) Tarrant, Vincent (Patricia) Tarrant, Alfred (Catherine) Tarrant and Benjamin Tarrant, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. HANDRIGAN; Stanley D.
(August 24, 1909 - May 14, 2007)

passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Monday, May 14, 2007, Stanley D. Handrigan of Grand Bank, age 97 years. Predeceased by son Lloyd; parents George and Celestina Handrigan; sister Mary; brothers Leslie and Jim; and son-in-law Major Harold Duffett. He leave to mourn: wife Janet; 6 daughters: Sheila (Albert), Melva, Georgie (Andy), Betty (Walt), Kay (Grace), Wayne (Myrna), Jim (Sheila); 20 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren: 2 brothers-in-law William and Tom (Carol); 4 sisters-in-law Eleanor, Joyce, Florence and Virginia; and also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank at 2:20 p.m. on Thursday, May 17th. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by the Salvation Army Band. Donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Grand Bank. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on May 16, 2007, Lucy Hayden of Marystown in her 90th year. Predeceased by her husbands Jerry Pittman and Frank Hayden, brothers Alphonsus, Jack, Roderick and Joseph and sister Theresa Hulsey. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Raymond (Rhonda) Pittman of Marystown; daughters Mary (Kevin) Walsh of Marystown and Rita (Andy) Speed of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters Mary Williams of Oklahoma, Ida (George) Franks of Ontario and Madonna Rowlands of St. John's; sister-in-law Vera McCrowe of Placentia; brothers Leonard Rowlands of Jean De Baie; brother-in-law Jim Hayden of Brooklyn, New York, nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Mass took place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown on Saturday, May 19. Interment followed at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. HICKMAN, Caroline W.
(November 22, 1920 - May 1, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Hospital, St. John's on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 after a short illness, surrounded by her family, Carrie Hickman, age 86 years, formerly of Grand Bank. predeceased by her husband Joshua, sister Triffie Rose, brother Russell Walters. Leaving to mourn daughters Sheila (Lloyd Vivian), Judy (Gerry Gulliver), sons Jack (Joanne) St. John's, Bill (Sheila) Burin Bay Arm; six cherished and loved granddaughters: Nancy and Meighan Gulliver, Karla, Kimberley, Jillian and Becky Hickman; brother Gordon Tibbo, special cousin Julia Barnes, devoted and caring nephew Tom Rose (Maxine); also leaving to mourn other relatives and extended family and dear friends in Grand Bank, her friends, card and bingo buddies at St.George's Court Apartments. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Lewis E. Crewe from Grand Bank United Church at 2 p.m. on May 4, 2007. Interment followed at United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. Organist was Maxine Rose. Pallbearers were: Jack Hickman, Bill Hickman, Jerry Gulliver, Lloyd Vivian, Rom Rose and Keith Vincent. Honourary pallbearers were granddaughters: Nancy, Kimberley, Meighan, Jillian, Karla and Becky. Passed peacefully away at her home in Terrenceville, Thursday, May 10, 2007, Mary Alice Lavhey in her 74th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories husband John Lavhey; sons George (Shirley), Ches (Eileen), James (Vera), John (Mary), Leo and Kenneth (Yolanda) all of Terrenceville; daughters Carol-Ann (David) Clarke of Terrenceville, Ruby (Rick) of Halifax and Hanna (Tony) of St. Shott's; sisters Bridget Clarke, Dorothy (Roy) Simms, Irene and Elizabeth; brothers Johnny and Raymond; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Charles and Bridget Phenelle Mullins; wife Verna and sister Jean. He leaves to mourn: daughter Elaine Ellis (Steve) at Birmingham, England; son Frazer (Anita) at Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia; 4 grandsons Adam, Joel, Graeme and Lee; sister Millie Loder (Leonard) at Grand Bank; also a circle of other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters Jackie (Larry) Mullett of Burin and Leona (Jason) Ryder of Halifax; brothers Hughie (Monica) of Spanish Room and Terrence (Catherine) of Halifax, four grandchildren Behann, Larry, Michael and Veronica; two great-grandchildren Emma and Noel, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Mass took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Thursday, May 24. Interment followed at the St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Cemetery in Spanish Room.
