DENTY, Sharon J.
(September 6, 1949 - March 13, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Grand Bank Community Health Care Centre on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, Sharon J. Denty of Grand Bank, age 57 years. Predeceased by grandparents Richard and Jane Riggs and Ben and Ida Hillier and father-in-law George Denty. She leaves to mourn: husband Norman at Grand Bank; 2 sons Mike and wife Lori at High Prairie, Alberta; Steve at Grand Bank; 2 grandchildren Nathan and Kaidan; parents George and Jessie Hillier at Grande Bank; sister Cathy Bolt and husband Wayne at Grand Bank; brother Rick Hillier and wife Nora at Clarenville; mother-in-law Edith Denty at St. John's; sister-in-law Mary Thorne at St. John's; brother-in-law Brad Denty and wife Laura at Boat Harbour. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Michael Li from Saint Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank at 2pm on Friday, March 16th. Interment followed at Saint Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by Tom Cumben. Pallbearers were: Jason Denty, Carl Evans, Gary Douglas, Jim Mahar, Perry Price and Barry Lee. Donations in her memory may be made to the family. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank; "Where Dedicated People Care."

FARRELL, Fergus F.
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Friday, March 16, 2007, Fergus F. Farrell of Spanish Room in his 89th year. Predeceased by sisters Clotilda Murphy, Alice Farrell, brothers John Joe, Cyril, Ernest and Randolph and parents William and Martha Farrell. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Levina and sister Florence Farrell of Little Bay, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral mass took place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, March 19, 2007. Interment was at St. John Bosco R.C. Cemetery in Spanish Room. HENNEBURY, Frederick
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre March 14, 2007, Frederick Hennebury of Lord's Cove in his 75th year. Predeceased by brothers Richard, James, John, Gordon and Michael and sister Gladys: parents Robert and Johanna. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sister Florence Slade of Sydney, Nova Scotia plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral services took place from St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church with interment at the R.C. Cemetery. Pallbearers were Richard Hennebury, Robert Hennebury, Earl Hennebury, Morgan Hennebury, James Hodge and Alfred Fitzpatrick. Crossbearer was John Edwards. Passed peacefully away at her home in Creston North on March 7, 2007, Mamie Ada Joyce of Creston North in her 83rd year. Predeceased by husband Rendell and son Perry. Leaving to mourn sons: Ralph (Maureen) Ontario, Sam (Betty) Ontario, Edward (Pat) of Ontario, Wayne of Ontario, Stan (Darlene) of Ontario, Randy (Jean) of Creston North: Daughters: Ella (Stan Ralph) of Grand Bank, Betty (Bert Hodder) of Creston North, Lillian (Eugene Feltham) of Ontario, Pearl (Mario Kennedy) of Ontario and daughter-in-law Elizabeth; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn brother Willis Fizzard (Margaret) Creston North, sisters: Phyllis Buckle, Creston North, Amena Mayo of Creston South, Emily (Bert Marshall) of Winterland, sister-in-law Jean Brinson of Creston South and brother-in-law Clyde Joyce of Ontario, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. LOVELL, Christie
Passed suddenly away at her home Tuesday, March 27, 2007, Christie Lovell of Fortune in her 74th year. Predeceased by husband Jacob. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter Tammy of Mount Pearl; sisters Anna Buffett and Vera Bonnell; brothers Edwin Piercey, Leo Bonnell, Tom and Lowell Bonnell and Forsey Bonnell, two grandchildren Kyle and Nicholas Snow, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed suddenly away on Saturday, March 10, 2007, Tony Calvin Newport of Winterland in his 39th year. Predeceased by grandparents Frank and Lily May Collins and Richard and Susie Newport. Leaving to mourn his life long best friend and wife Angie: sons Christopher and Clarke: daughter Tyanna: parents Rueben and Eloise: sisters Kathy and husband George Power of Mooring Cove and Marjorie and husband Brian Coady of Winterland: brother Lloyd and wife Jessie of Jean de Baie: parents-in-law John and Jean Clarke: sister-in-law Yvonne and husband Perry Crocker: 3 nieces and 3 nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin on March 29, 2007, Edward Pardy Sr. of Marystown in his 92nd year. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Dorothy. Sons: Clarence (wife Lucy) of St. John's, Edward Jr. (wife Mercedes) of Mount Pearl. Daughters: Juanita (husband Robert Fox) of Marystown, Dorothy Murphy of Parker's Cove, Gertrude (husband Robert Stapleton) of Mount Pearl, 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. Sister: Margaret Matterface of Red Harbour, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by: brother Emanuel, sisters Mary Saunders and Jane Saunders, and granddaughter Roxanne Pardy. Penney, Capt. Leonard
(1914-2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Wednesday, March 28, 2007, Capt. Leonard Penney of Fortune, formerly of Tack's Beach in his 92nd year. Predeceased by wife Lillian daughter Alma and son-in-law Allister Mercer. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Carl (Vera), Cecil (Emma) and Norman (Brenda) all of Fortune, Calvin (Phyllis) of Grand Bank, Lawrence (Amy) of Gander and Melvin of Grand Bank; daughters Margaret (Roy) of Trowbridge of Whitby, (sic) Ontario, Vera Mercer of Sunnyside and Clara (Tom) Monstur of Milton, Ontario; sisters Mary Green and Charlotte Hapgood, both of Arnold's Cove; brother Ernest Penney of Arnold's Cove, 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services took place from All Saints Anglican Church in Fortune. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Fortune. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, on March 28, 2007, George Robert Simms of Marystown in his 83rd year. Predeceased by wife Rose in 1994 and brothers James and Harry and sister Dot. Leaving to mourn daughters: Audrey (Harrison Barnes) of Creston South, Sophie (Aldwin Boone) of St. John's, Georgina (Brendan Broders) of St. John's, brother Frank (Gertie) of St. John's, Lucy of Halifax, Mary of St. John's, Sophie (Levi Pardy) of Mount Pearl, nine grandchildren: Colin, Christopher, Carolyn, Stacey, David, Duane, Lee, Patrick and Sophie Rose plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services was conducted by Rev. John Nicolle at St. Mary's Anglican Church in Marystown on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at St. Michael's Anglican Cemetery in Creston South. Pallbearers were Harrison Barnes, Wayne Kendall, Aldwin Boone, Brendan Broders, Nat Fudge and Keith Smith. Donations in his memory may be made to the family for Glenbrook Lodge. SIMS, Neville Tom
Born on June 30, 1955 in London, England. Passed peacefully away on March 7, 2007 at the age of 51 after a courageous battle with cancer. A gentleman with a kind heart, he loved animals and life. Predeceased on February 2, 2007 by his father Nigel. Dearly missed by his wife Janet McHugh; mother Mavis (David Gynne Williams); sister Sarah Sims (Stephen Aird); Raymond and Nora McHugh and families; special companion Sam (his dog) and a large circle of friends in Marystown. Cremation has taken place. Neville will always be remembered and never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, St. John's, NL. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Ambrose (Debbie) of Toronto, Alphonsus (Roberta) of Toronto, Brian (Carolyn) of Toronto and Tony of St. Lawrence: daughters: Elizabeth Hodge (Brian) of St. Lawrence, Lisa Walsh (Selvin) of Toronto and Lyn Walsh (Annie) of Toronto; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by husband Martin Walsh; sister Louise and 4 brothers. Father Charlie Goakery officiated funeral mass on March 26, 2007 from St. Thomas Aquinas church, St. Lawrence with interment following at Mount Cecilia Cemetery, St. Lawrence.
