AYERS, Lillian Beatrice
(September 14, 1932 - July 21, 2007)
Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre, St. John's on Saturday,
July 21, 2007, Lillian B. Ayers of Fortune, age 74 years.
Predeceased by parents Arch and Bertha Thorne; sister Bertha; brothers
George, Ben and Arch Jr. and husband George. Leaving to mourn sisters
Sarah Hiscock at Fortune and Lucy Caines at the Blue Crest Nursing
Home, Grand Bank. Funeral Service was conducted by Captain Charlene
Hillier from the Salvation Army Citadel Fortune at 2 p.m. on Monday,
July 23rd. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Fortune.
Music was provided by Claude Dunne and CarolAnn Randell. Pallbearers
were: Paul White, Laura White, Marie Grandy, Jackie Brady, George Carroll
and Rennie Stacey. Donations in her memory may be made to the Salvation

CLARKE, Christopher Richard
Beloved son of Rita Clarke of Brooks, passed away suddenly on July
3, 2007 at the age of 25 years. Born in Grand Bank, Newfoundland
on September 24, 1981, Chris completed his schooling at John Burke High
School in Grand Bank. He had resided in Brooks since 2001 and was currently
employed with Eagle Well Service. He loved to play golf, pool and poker.
Chris will be lovingly remembered as a loving father; for his good sense
of humour; for his outgoing, friendly and caring nature; for being a hard
worker and for having strong family values. He was predeceased by his father
Richard on November 7, 2006. Chris is survived by his loving family, son
Nathan Clarke, mother Rita, brother Michael and sister Crystal Matthews
and her husband Shawn. Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM on Monday,
July 9th from Smith Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Theiss officiated.

Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre Thursday, January
11, 2007, in the presence of her loving family, Charlotte
Margaret Collins, formerly of Point May in her 72nd year.
predeceased by her husband William Collins, sister Beatrice Hewitt and
brother Raphael Stacey. Left with cherished memories are her sons Ronald
and Danny (Rhonda); daughters Rowena (Alan Huber), Gail (Peter Harrison)
and Cathy Francis; grandchildren Shannon Kaytor, Brittany and Haleigh Huber,
Carley and Melanie Harrison, William and Kaitlin Francis, and Devon and
Colby Collins; great-grandchildren Jackson and Zoë Kaytor; sisters
Mable Kleener and Madeline Drake. Sadly missed and fondly remembered by
sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many

passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Hospital, St. Lawrence on July
10, 2007, Ernestine Hannem of Burin age 102 years. Leaving to mourn
