BATH, Cathy (nee Craig)
1972 - 2008

It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of Cathy Bath on Saturday, January 5, 2008 in Sault St. Marie, Ontario. Dear and loving wife of Trevor. Cherished mother of Anderson Craig and Lorelai Emily. Loving daughter of Fraser and Elaine Craig. Much loved daughter-in-law of Vay and Emily Bath of Marystown, Newfoundland. Beautiful sister of Lisa Hutchison (Bruce) and Allyson Niro (Dominic). Sister-in-law of Trent Bath (Stephanie). Granddaughter of Roy and Phoebe Craig. Great niece to Doris Craig. Cathy will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service was held at Willowgrove United Church (55 Tilley Road, Sault Ste. Marie) on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Bruce McLeish officiating. interment at Greenwood Cemetery. BRENTON, Denisine
Passed suddenly away January 29, 2008 at Fort Nelson, British Columbia, Denisine Brenton of Burin in her 60th year. Predeceased by husband Fred, daughter Darlene Paul and son-in-law Ed Paul, sister Maureen Walsh and parents Dennis and Frances Antle. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son Terry (Wendy); daughters Sandi (Wally Hodder) and Linda (Steve Foote); grandsons Kody Hodder and Tanner Foote all of Fort Nelson; brothers Bob (Mary), Vince (Bridget), Derm (Laura) and Wayne; plus a very large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by sons Francis and Alonzo; mother Mary; father Edward and brothers George and Thomas. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Ada; sons Kevin and family of Alberta, Gordon and family and James (Gail) of Halifax, NS; daughter Sheila (Cyril) Labour of Dartmouth, NS; nine grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's, Tuesday, January 8, 2008, Mary (Turpin) Cove in her 74th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories husband Robert of Paradise; daughter Lucy of St. John's, sons Robert (Mariette) of Paradise, William and Albert (Lynn), both of Ottawa, Ontario; Lynnette Richard of Rothesay, New Brunswick; brother Victor (Mary) of Corner Brook; sisters Agnes Lees of Corner Brook, Flora Fitzpatrick of Whitby, Ontario and Nora Rector of Burlington, Ontario and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation took place January 9 with cremation following. DODGE, Lucy Ann
(October 4, 1921 - January 11, 2008)

Passed away suddenly at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Friday, January 11, 2008, Lucy Ann Dodge of Fortune, formerly of Femme, in her 87th year. Predeceased by husband Sam, daughter Mary, son Harold and grandson Allan. She leaves to mourn: sons, Allan (wife Marie) at Creston South, Elias (wife Mary) at Fortune, Tom (friend Donna) at Grand Prairie, Alberta; daughter Doris (husband John Winsor) at Brooks, Alberta; sisters Triffie Anstey (husband Peter) at Salt Pond, Elvina Price (husband Ben) at Bowmanville, ontario; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. James Pollard from All Saint's Anglican Church Fortune on Monday, January 14th at 2 pm. Interment followed at All Saint's Anglican Cemetery, Fortune. (June 14, 1915 - January 23, 2008)

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Wednesday, January 23, 2008, Annie Fitzpatrick of Marystown in her 92nd year. Predeceased by husband Arthur, sons Gabriel, Frank and Gordon. Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Tuesday, January 8, 2008, Ellen (Myles) Grandy of Shoal harbour, aged 92 years. Predeceased by husband Max in 1996 and daughter Margaret in 1988. Leaving to mourn with loving and cherished memories her sons Harold (Betty), St. John's and Gordon (Effie), Winterland; daughters Maud Brooks, Grand Bank and Ruth Ivany (Earle), Clarenville; sister Carrie Hiscock, Grand Beach; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral home, Clarenville. Funeral service was held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 10:30 am from Shoal Harbour United with interment following at the United Church Cemetery, Grand Bank. (December 10, 1927 - January 6, 2008)

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Sunday, January 6, 2008, Malcolm G. Green of Port au Bras in his 80th year. Leaving to mourn wife Matilda; sons Kevin of Port au Bras, Malcolm and wife Claudette of Paradise and Enos and girlfriend Michelle of Port au Bras; daughters Maxine and husband Gordon Abbott of Port au Bras, Ida and husband Gordon Hillier of Creston South, Annie and husband John Antle of Mortier and Lexie and husband Adrian Antle of Mortier; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Doris Zimmerman of Ohio and Jane Dowden of Clarke's Beach plus a large circle of other family and friends. HATCHER, Samuel Jacob
(December 2, 1921 - January 14, 2008)

Passed peacefully away at the US Memorial Health Care Centre, St. Lawrence on Monday, January 14, 2008, Samuel I. Hatcher of Grand Bank, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents William and Mary Ann Hatcher; daughter Helen; sons Derrick and Leslie; sister Bertha; and brothers Ben, Leslie, William and Charles. He leaves to mourn: wife Gladys at the Blue Crest Home; Grand Bank; daughters Gladys at Grand Bank, Nancy and Henry at point May; sons William (Linda), Samuel Jr. (Cathy) and David (Edith) all at Grand Bank; daughter-in-law Marie at Grand Bank; 23 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Lucy (Jack Baron) at Linsay, Ontario; sister-in-law Jean Francis at Grand Bank; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at his residence in Marystown Sunday, January 13, 2008, Captain Anthony Joseph Kelly of Marystown in his 77th year. predeceased by mother Maude, father John and three infant brothers. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Sadie; sons Tony (Sharon) of Marystown and Kevin (Tracy Doody) of St. John's; daughters Donna of Lunenburg, N.S. and Shirley (John) Hodder of Mount Pearl; grandchildren Michael, Jordan, Brandon, Kelsey, Cassandra and Gunther, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. PENNEY; Kenneth
Passed peacefully away at home on Sunday, January 27, 2008, age 57, after a long courageous battle with cancer with his loving family by his side. Predeceased by his father Kenneth, St. Anthony, and his mother Nita (nee Vivian), St. John's. Leaving to mourn his best friend and wife, Lily B. Cole; sons Stephen and Tyler; daughter Heather. Also leaving to mourn on his father's side step-mother, Vera Penney, Centreville; uncle Douglas Penny, St. Anthony; aunts Violet Wight and Maisie Smith, St. John's; cousins Ed Smith Springdale; Gerry Curnew, Arthur Wright, Pat Kean, and Nita Ludlow, St. John's; Melba Rumbolt, Halifax; Marion Budgell, Pasadena; Ed Penny, St. Anthony. On his mother's side aunt Rachel Vivian, Old Bonaventure; cousins Eric and David Vivian and Heather, Ottawa. Also leaving to mourn mother-in-law and father-in-law Piercey and Mildred Budgell, Baie Verte; sisters-in-law Gertie Banks (Glynn) and Jo-Ann Decker, Sparwood, BC; brothers-in-law Harry Budgell (Rose), Fort McMurray; Daryll Budgell (Heidi), St. John's. Also mourning Ken's passing are a large circle of close friends, students, and members of the Marystown Lion's club. A celebration of Ken's life took place on Friday, February 1 at 2 pm from the Carnell's Memorial Chapel.
