Passed peacefully away at the Morgan Personal Care Home February 15, 2006, Sheila Beazley of Marystown in her 61st year. Predeceased by her mother Catherine and her father Albert; brothers Alonzo, William, Jim and Gerald; sisters Alice and Alameda. Leaving to mourn son Albert in Calgary; daughters Gerarda of Marystown, Georgina Brushett (Robert) of Toronto and Janice Kaawach (Salam) of Calgary; grandchildren Krista, Ucef and Sara; sisters Elizabeth Brake of Marystown and Genevieve Withers of Marystown; brother Albert Barry of Toronto plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in Marystown Monday February 20. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Pallbearers were Alphonsus Barry, Bob Brushett, Albert Brake, William Brake, Scott Power and William Barry. Crossbearer was Krista Kaawach. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes in Marystown.

BRENNAN, Margaret
Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Hospital February 12, 2006, Margaret Brennan of Marystown in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her husband Albert. Leaving to mourn sons Nicholas (Phyllis) of Holyrood, Timothy (Debbie) of Halifax and Joe (Sandra) of Gambo; daughter Judy of Marystown; sisters Judy George (Lee) and Hannah Hanrahan (Adrian); five grandchildren and one great-grandchild., plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in Marystown, Wednesday, February 15th. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in marystown. Pallbearers were Joseph Keating, Joseph Brennan, Leo Brennan, James Brennan, Eddie Brennan and Bill power. Crossbearer was Judy Beck. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove funeral Homes in Marystown.

(August 26, 1921 - February 9, 2006)

Passed peacefully away at Central Western hospital, Grand Falls, Garland Collins of Burin in his 84th years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons: Freeman and wife Judy of Burin and Boyd and wife Cindy of Airdrie, AB; daughter Sybil and husband Leo Nichol of Botwood; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Neta Loder of Liverpool, NS and Clara MacDonald of Glace Bay, NS plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by wife Thelma; brothers Stan and Edgar and sister Lena. Pastor Paul Perry and Pastor Howard Perham officiated funeral service from Calgary Pentecostal Church, Creston North on February 13 with interment following at Pentecostal Cemetery, Creston North. Pallbearers were Freeman, Body, and Scott Collins, Leo and Lechon Nichol and Carl Perham. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "WE CARE."

Passed peacefully away at the Queen Elizabeth 11 Health Sciences Centre in Halifax February 6, 2006 Ann Dunphy of St. Bernard's in her 42nd year. Predeceased by her mother, Shirley. Leaving to mourn her loving husband, Gerard; son, Fergus and daughter, Olivia; her father, Walter; sisters: Sharlene, Mena Hackett (Rick) and Vickey Whittle (Wade); brothers Wally (Lillian) and Nick (Belinda); plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral mass at Sacred Hdeart Roman Catholic Church in St. Bernard's, Friday, Feb. 10. Interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in St. Bernard's. Pallbearers were Shane Dunphy, David Dunphy, Darin Dunphy, Wade Whittle and Rick Hackett. Crossbearer was Wally Scott. Funeral arrangements entrusted tot he care of White Dove Funeral Homes in Marystown.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on February 20, 2006, Albert J. Foote of Fox Cove in his 70th year. Predeceased by parents George & Mary Ann Foote, stepmother Annie Foote and brother Denis Long. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Marguerite; eleven stepchildren; twenty five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary (Bill Long) of Burlington, Emily Roff of Mortier, Ursula Marshall (Terry) of Burin; nephews and nieces and special friend Penny plus a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral Mass was officiated by Father Charlie Kelly from St. Patrick's Parish Church, Burin on February 23rd with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Cove. Pallbearers were Terry Marshall, Ryan Billard, Sandy Francis, Dennis Roff, Alvin Roff and Boyd Francis. Crossbearer was Richard Marshall. Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Home in Grand Bank February 5, 2006, Maria Foote of Burin in her 85th year. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son Walter; sister, Lydia; and brother Rennie. Leaving to mourn sons: Bruce (Ada) of Carbonear; Boyd (Millicent) of Burin, Joe (Hattie) and Bob (Vickey) of Calgary, Alberta, David (Ann Marie) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and John (Ruth) of Epworth; daughters: Mildred (Sterling shave) of Burin and Linda (Norm Norris) of Kenora, Ontario; brothers: Alfred of Collin's Cove and Benjamin of Toronto; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. Russell Lodge of Zion United Church in Collin's Cove Thursday, Feb 9. Interment was at United Cemetery in Collin's Cove. Leaving to mourn, husband Rayfield; sons: Robert (wife Joan) of Mount Pearl, David (wife Margaret) of Creston South, Larry (wife Kelly) of Sackville, NS; daughters: Daphne (husband Alonzo Kelly) of Peterborough, ON., Audrey (husband Michael Pike) of Creston South, Wendy (husband Keith Laushway) of Toronto, ON; sisters: Glynda (husband Gerald Mayo) of Salmonier, Maxine (husband Fred Mayo) of Salmonier, Jean (husband William Joyce) of Winterland; brothers: Boyd Beazley and wife Bernice of Salmonier, Robie Beazley of Salmonier: eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by Capts. Darin & Wendy Boone at the Salvation Army Citadel in Creston South on February 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Creston South. donations to her memory may be made to Salvation Army Citadel in Creston South. Pallbearers were her sons Robert Hannam, David Hannam and Larry Hannam and her grandsons Kent Hannam, Robbie Hannam and Steve Pike. HEPDITCH, William
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, on Saturday, February 18, 2006, William Hepditch of Lamaline, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents Frederick & Linda Hepditch, brothers Stanley, Cyril, Frederick; grandson Christopher; sister Mary Bonnell. Left to mourn are wife Alma; three daughters, Barbara Stacey at Lamaline, Stella Grandy (Carlson), Garnish, Linda Benteau (Eric) at Point May; son Bill at Grand Bank; seven grandchildren; two sisters: Beatrice Bonnell at North Sydney, Dorothy Ivany (Gilberts) at Sydney. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. James Pollard on Tuesday, February 21st at 9 a.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Lamaline. HOLLYWOOD, Brian Camillus
Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre in St. Lawrence, Monday, February 13, 2006 after a brief but unsuccessful bout with cancer of the lung, Brian Camillus Hollywood C.M.M.D., age 79. Dr. Brian was a long time resident of St. Lawrence and Senior medical Officer at the old U.S. Memorial Cottage Hospital for well over thirty years. He was awarded membership in the Order of Canada in 1999 and he also received the Queen's Jubilee Medal for professional, medical and humanitarian reasons in his care and treatment of the miners of St. Lawrence and the families in his medical district which stretched from Little St. Lawrence to Allan's Island, along the south coast of the Burin Peninsula. He was predeceased by his father and mother, Patrick and Bridget Hollywood (nee Clarke); brothers Michael and Seamus (Mary); sister Magdalen Grant (Terry) all of North Ireland. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his best friend and devoted wife of 46 years, Eileen Theresa (nee Melody) of St. Lawrence, brother Patrick (Patricia), Kevin of North Ireland and Raymond (Patricia) of Ohio, U.S.A.; sisters Bernadette Barrow of Dublin and Philomena Carville (Patsy) of Belfast; sisters-in-law Maureen Yule of Dublin and Mary Hollywood of North Ireland. Also survived by numerous cousins, nephews and nieces in Ireland, England, Europe, Australia and U.S.A. and a large circle of close friends. Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, February 16th with Father Frank Puddister officiating, followed by cremation. Interment will follow in Ireland. Pallbearers were Ray Stapleton, Jim Grant, Celestine Walsh, Lionel Pinkson, John Hause and Gerry Turpin. Crossbearer was Patrick Brake. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes in Marystown.

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre February 11, 2006, Joseph Kelly of Little Bay in his 64th year. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Mary Joe and sister Anna Kelly. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Elizabeth, son Nathan of Little Bay, daughters Rose Mary Kilfoy (Russell) of Little Bay, Connie Farewell (Kenneth) of Creston South and Joanne of Saint John, New Brunswick. Also leaving to mourn sisters Susan Miller (Ambrose), Clara Kilfoy (Chris), Alice Fowler (Walter), Philemon Downey (Richard), Josephine Pike (Peter) and Peggy Kilfoy (James); brothers Patrick Kelly (Sadie), Adrian Kelly (Carm), Eugene Kelly (Dot) and William Kelly (Madeline); grandchildren Russell, Jasmine, Christian, Joseph and Jade and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church in Marystown, Tuesday, February 14. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Little Bay.
