Passed away at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Saturday, December 29, 2007, Carmel Antle of Mortier in her 70th year. Leaving to mourn son Gary of Mortier; daughters Pauline Kirby or Mortier, Brenda Brewer and husband Don of Ottawa, Joan Hollett and husband Craig of St. John's; grandchildren Bradley, Miranda, Jason and Courtney; brothers Tom Roff and wife Madonna and Jack Roff and wife Madge plus a large circle of other family and friends. Father Theodore O'Connor officiated funeral mass from St. Patrick's Parish Church, Burin on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Cove. Pallbearers. Passed peacefully away at the US Memorial Health Care, St. Lawrence on Thursday, December 20, 2007, Marjorie Bartlett of Grand Bank, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents James and Mary Bungay and husband Thomas. She leaves to mourn: daughter Eileen Nurse at Grand Bank; sons Newman (Lily) at Grand Bank; 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; sister Alma Hepditch at Halifax, Nova Scotia; brother Reg and Mazie Bungay at Come By Chance. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from the Salvation Army Grand Bank on Sunday December 23rd at 2 pm. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. HISCOCK-MOULTON, Beatrice Pearl (nee Brewer)
Entered into eternal rest and peace at the Health Sciences Complex on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, Beatrice Hiscock-Moulton aged 91 years. Predeceased by her first husband Frederick G. Moulton (1968); second husband Andrew Hiscock (1989), daughter Alfreda Moulton and step daughter Clara Barnes. Leaving to mourn are daughter Amelia Marrello (Michael), Kingston, ON; step-daughter Sylvia Heath (Ed); sons Bruce Moulton (Georgina); Bert Moulton (Bella) and Lloyd Moulton (Sharon), Kingston, ON; sisters: Mary Hillier and Alfreda Clarke (both from Burin); brother Jim Brewer (Burin); twenty grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends. Predeceased by father Reginald Bennett and mother-in-law Elizabeth Kennedy. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. John E.K. MACDONALD, Hazel M.
(August 4, 1921 - December 17, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the US Memorial Health Care, St. Lawrence on Monday, December 17, 2007, Hazel M. MacDonald of Fortune, age 86 years. Predeceased by first husband Willis, son Seymour and infant daughter Ruby. She leaves to mourn: husband Cyril, children Murdock (Grace), Wavey (Fred), Winnie (George), and daughter-in-law Sarah; her extended family Hilda (Raymond), Edith (Jim), Cyril (Yvonne), and Gloria (Allister); sister Ruby Francis; 26 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great- grandchild. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Captain Charlene Hillier and Majors Lorne and Ella Hiscock from the Salvation Army at Fortune at 2 pm on Thursday, December 20th. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Fortune. Music was provided by the String Band and vocal by Dante Hiscock (great grandson). (April 23, 1945 - December 21, 2007)

Passed suddenly away at St. John's on Friday December 21, 2007, Christina Osmond of Grand Bank, age 62 years. Predeceased by parents Edgar and Lydia Hillier, brothers Abe, Stanley, Harvey, Jacob, Clayton and William. Leaving to mourn husband Stanley, daughter Melina (Roger), sons Larry, Edgar (Michille) Grand Bank, five grandchildren: Chantel, Scott, Kirby, Matthew and Candance, sisters-in-law Dorothy Hillier, Lydia Osmond, Lucy Hillier, brother-in-law James Osmond and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Tim Graham from Saint Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank on Monday, December 24th at 2 pm. Interment followed at Saint Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. organist was Velma Stewart. Pall bearers were: Edgar Osmond, Scott Osmond, Larry Osmond, Norman Hillier, Edgar Hillier, Dorman Scott, Rex Matthews and Norm Fizzard. (October 5, 1923 - December 30, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest InterFaith Home Grand Bank on Sunday, December 30, 2007, James Osmond of Grand Bank, age 84 years. Predeceased by parents George and Melina Osmond; brothers Malcolm, Charles and Clyde and sisters Bessie and Mary. He leaves to mourn brother Stanley and a circle of nephews and nieces and other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from the Salvation Army, Grand Bank at 1 pm on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by the Salvation Army Band. Pall Bearers were: Edgar Osmond, Larry Osmond, Larry Osmond Sr., Henry Crews, Dorman Scott and Fred Rose. PIKE, Thursa Elizabeth
Passed peacefully away at the Burin peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin on December 13, 2007, Thursa Elizabeth Pike of Collin's Cove in her 92nd. year. Predeceased by her husband Augustus and daughter Margaret Beazley. Leaving to mourn her loving son Frank (Nancy) Collins Cove, daughters Verlie (Charles Farewell) of Collin's Cove, Hattie (Joe Foote) of Calgary, Alberta, son-in-law Bruce Beazley of Burin Bay, ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents Robert and Martha Rogers; and brothers Graham and John. He leaves to mourn; wife Carrie, step-son Kenneth (Dianne), brother Jim, sisters Jessie Carpenter and Frances Wiseman (Ray), sisters-in-law Joyce Rogers, Eileen Rogers; two grandchildren, and also a large circle of nephews and nieces.
