Passed peacefully away Nov. 21, 2003 at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Mary J. Dimmer Antle of Fox Cove. She was 93 years old. Predeceased by husbands Herbert Dimmer and Alphonsus Antle, sons Howard (wife Winnie) and Felix, daughters Marion of St. John's and Betty Bolger (son-in-law George). Left to mourn are sons Tom (wife Myrtle) of British Columbia, Pete, Herb of Fox Cove and Reg (Rose) of Ontario; daughters Marion of St. John's and Kathy of Ontario and a large number of nieces and nephews including five generations. Father Charlie Kelly conducted funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Burin, Monday, Nov. 24. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Fox Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Pallbearers were Tom Dimmer, Reg Dimmer, Craig Dimmer, Kevin Walsh, Jim Walsh and Robby Moulton. Cross bearer was Herb Dimmer.

BROYDELL, Dulcie
Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home, Grand Bank, Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, Dulcie Broydell. She was 73 years old. Predeceased by husband Frederick, daughter Olive Melinda, parents Eli Wilson and Annie Dodge. Left to mourn are daughters Olive Broydell at Grand Bank, Nora Benteau (husband Garfield) at Point May and Julia Snook (husband George) at Ontario; sons Frank (wife Sue) and Otto (wife Peggy) at Nova Scotia; grandsons Dwayne Benteau, Jeffrey Snook, Freddie and Jamie Broydell; great-grandson Joshua McCabe; brothers Leo (wife Becky) at Stephenville, Frank (wife Ann) at Ontario and Albert (wife Bernice) at Labrador City; sister-in-law Linda Chaisson (husband Wilbert) at Nova Scotia and Thelma Dodge at Ontario and a large circle of other nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Michael Li at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 from St. Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank. Organist was Lovey Ralph. Pallbearers were Otto Broydell, Frank Broydell, Joe Warren, Dennis Langdon, Bill Royle and Melvin Cox. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

Passed peacefully away Dec. 11, 2003 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Ester M. Cox of Terrenceville. She was 91. Predeceased by husband Leo Sr., parents Selina and Joseph Mitchell, sisters Roxanne and Elizabeth, brother Michael and grandson Tony Cox. Left to mourn are sons William (wife Philomena), Patrick (wife Florence), Eugene (wife Doris), Michael (wife Lorraine), Leo (wife Sheila) and Freeman (wife Evelyn) of Terrenceville; daughters Elizabeth (husband Anslem) of St. George's and Bernice (husband Charles) of Fortune. Passed suddenly away Nov. 18, 2003 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, Lawrence Cox of Terrenceville. He was 50 years old. Predeceased by mother May Hanna and father Stephen. Left to mourn are wife Alice, son Stephen (Vanessa) of Ontario, daughter Nicole (Cory Isaacs) of St. John's and granddaughter Miranda. Predeceased by parents James and Violet, brothers Robert and Amos, sister Georgina. PARDY, Abigail
It is with great sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Abigail Pardy, age 77, entered into eternal rest at her home in Harbour Mille in the early hours of November 20, 2003. Predeceased by brothers Edgar and Jerry Pardy. Leaving to mourn her husband of 59 years, Randell; daughter, Ivy (Charlie Price); foster child, Russell; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one sister, Winnifred; brothers Merrill Pardy (Margaret), James Pardy (Ethel), Levi Pardy (Sophie) and Thomas Pardy; and many other relatives and friends. Rested at the St. Mary's Anglican Church, Harbour Mille, from where the funeral service, officiated by Rev. Charles Harris, took place on Sunday, November 23, 2003. Funeral Services were conducted by Mr. Oscar Elms at the United Church in Creston North on Dec 15th at 1:00 p.m. Interment was at Grace United Church Cemetery in Winterland. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Foundation. Pall bearers were: Sam Hollett, Bill Grandy, Ed White, Clyde Baker, George E. Brushett, John Lynch. SNOOK, Emily F.
Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home, Grand Bank, Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, Emily F. Snook of Grand Bank. She was 81 years old. Predeceased by husband Albert, son William, grandson Nelson, sisters Charlotte and Sarah and brothers Willie and Philip. Left to mourn are daughters Meta Bungay (husband Rex) at Grand Bank, Phoebe Brockerville (friend Ike) at Grand Bank and Charlotte Hollett (husband Edward) at Mount Pearl; sons Ben (wife Mervie) at Bonavista, Albert (wife June) at Fortune, Harold John (wife Lucy) at Grand Bank and Morgan (friend Debbie) at St. John's; daughter-in-law Alice Snook (friend Eric) at Grand Bank; sister-in-law Marjorie Green at Grand Bank; 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman, assisted by Major Fred and Winnie Randell, Reverend Chris Andrews and ASM Cathy Bungay. Music by David Noseworthy and Herbert Dunford. Pallbearers were Tony Snook, Paul Snook, Eric Snook, William Snook, Justin Bungay and Max Brockerville. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

SYNARD, Edward J
Passed away suddenly Nov. 19, 2003 at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Edward J. Synard of Parker's Cove. He was 77 years old. Predeceased by wife Mary and son Kenneth. Left to mourn are sons Ambrose (wife Mary), Joseph (wife Caroline), Gordon (wife Helen), Gerard (wife Erlita) all of Ontario, Edward (wife Bernadette), Alonzo (wife Lucy), William (wife Beverly), Norman (wife Viola) all of Parker's Cove and Clayton (wife Sejal) of South Carolina; daughters Elizabeth (husband Alan Pawson) of Calgary, Angela (husband Ron Moreau) of Ontario, Madonna (husband Chris Rogers) of St. John's, and Marjorie of Michigan; 31 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Sister Cecilia Lambe conducted funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Parker's Cove Monday, Nov 24. Interment was at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Parker's Cove. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown. Pallbearers were sons Clayton, Norman, Gerard, Ambrose, Alonzo, Edward and Gordon. Cross bearer was son William.

TETFORD (MATTHEWS), Princess
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, Princess Tetford (Matthews) of Clarke's Beach, formerly of Grand Bank. She was 66 years old. Left to mourn are husband John Tetford at Clarke's Beach; daughters Elizabeth Squires (husband James) at St. Lawrence and Bonnie Roff (husband Alvin) at Grand Bank; grandchildren Cindy, Robbie and Adam; sisters Georgina Brown (husband Raymond) at Grand Bank and Bella Peddle (husband Don) at Harbour Grace; sister-in-law Carrie Miller at Grand Bank and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman, assisted by Captains Willis and Priscilla Drover and ASM Kathy Bungay at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Grand Bank. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by the Salvation Army Band. Pallbearers were Leonard Loder, Bill Tetford, Melvin Bowering, Jerry Barnes, Barry Brown and Stan Dwyer. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.
